I have three boy yorkies. Two of them are chihuahua mixed. Every day I take them outside to go potty. Just today, one of my dogs did not want to go outside. This morning, I wake up at five in the morning and I let them out of their crates to take them outside to go potty. My smallest dog, Todd, wouldn't go outside. Even if I pick him up and take him outside, he immediately comes back in. Once I got ready for school, he was going potty on the floor.
I came home from school, and of course I let them out of their crates (we are currently potty training them with crates), and he still wouldn't go outside. My dad came over, and when dad called him over to go outside he still wouldn't go. He pottied in the house again. I just want to know what I can do to help him go outside. Any advice or recommendations for me? Thank you.

Have You Tried Bringing Doggie Treats Outside And Praise Him When He Goes Outside By Petting Him And Giving Him The Treat. Just Make Sure He Doesnt Get Too Used To Receiving The Treats So He'll Be More Willing To Go Outside.

Hello again. I didn't want to make a new topic in this forum, mainly because I don't want to consume space in the forum. I need some help again.
The same dog, Todd, has been acting really really strange. For a couple days, he has been standing near the stairs (which the stairs is blocked by a doggy gate so that they would pee up there) and keeps looking at the wall, whining whenever he looks up there. Or sometimes he would sit by the front door.
I've tried to play with him, I've taken him and the other doggies outside three or more times today. I even took him up the stairs, and all he does is go all the way up the stairs and sit there in the middle of the hallway.
I know that it could be his sixth sense (because there's nothing there. I looked twice. There are no doggy toys or anything up there) or maybe he smells something up there, but I don't know what it is. It's making me frustrated, and I don't know what to do.
Can someone please give me any advice, any veterinarian (pardon my spelling) or someone who has experienced this, can you please give something that I can do to calm him down and make him feel secure in my house? Please and thank you.
Also, please be mature in your answers. I'm really frustrated about this, and I just want my dog to be happy.

It sounds a lot like the stories I watched on Animal Planet when the animals started to act strange when there was a presence in the house. From the stories that the people have told on there the animals they owned, not all of them were lucky....{if you caught the hint... sad } One thing they all had in common were that they were all new homeowners or have recently lost someone close in their family.
What I suggest is to get your house inspected by a licensed city inspector to check around the house to see if there any potential problems that could put you and your family at risk. Also do some research on the house you live in. Like going to the city/town archives and see if there is any records of prior owners or incidents that have happened in the past in your home. If there have past incidents where someone has died in your home or you have started to experience abnormal things in the house. I would suggest having someone who does paranormal research to come look at your home to investigate. Whoever the person is, should be able to provide more help than I can.
{I hope you receive this reply soon before anything happens.} emotion_8c

Apparently, he was looking for my mom, because once my mom got home, he stopped doing it. It was quite strange though. We also have had our house blessed several times, and nothing negative has occured in our home since then.
Also, the house was built in 2000, so it's been around for a while. It would be good to research, but I don't know where I would go for that. I do know though that dogs do have a sixth sense, and smell and hear things more than human eyes can see. I don't think there are ghosts in the house though. We have not have hauntings in our house, and I don't think we ever will.
Thank you for the advice though. It is highly appreciated. ^^

He is a sweetheart (well sometimes. He can be a jerk too. XD). He doesn't do it when my mom's home, so that's how I figured that out. Everything's going fine right now. He still does it, but only when my mom's not home. He's a silly boy. XP
