Amenophis was running around on the frozen lake, he enjoyed sliding on the ice. It was joyous in the winter time because of all the snow. He wasn't an expert at running around and sliding on the ice because he would often slip and crash onto the ice. The snow began to fall heavily from the sky, he stuck out his tongue and spun around on the ice trying to catch some.

Scales were no good in the winter because they didn't absorb heat much like his fur, or much like they did in the summer when the sun was always out. This fact didn't stop the half-cerynei from roaming the lands looking for lands him, his mate and his herd could live in without disturbing anyone. This one winter day, Rinji spotted a frozen lake in the distance and figured, if the ice wasn't too thick, he could crack the ice and get a drink... despite how cold it was.
As he approached, not only did it start to snow, but he was sure he saw someone on the ice, spinning around. Surely that is not safe. He thought. Approaching the ice covered lake, sure enough, there was another soquili 'skating' about on the surface. Reaching the edge of the lake, he watched the other stallion as he spun about, trying to catch snowflakes by the looks of it. Though it did not show on his face, he was quite concerned, so, with a nicker, he called out. "I am sorry to intrude, but I do not feel that is a safe thing to do."

Amenophis had been so consumed in what he was trying to do and how much fun he was having that he had not noticed another stallion approaching. When a voice spoke, it scared him and he lost his concentration on spinning and sliding that he slipped and crashed onto the ice. However this time, it was different, the ice began to crack and he knew he was a goner once the ice gave way. "Your completely right!" Amenophis yelled back as he struggled to get away from the sinking hole.

The stallion watched as the other stallion kept sliding about. That soon changed when he had seemed to startle the other, causing him to slam into the treacherous surface. His ears perked as the sound of the ice cracking and crumbling reached them. Without hesitation, the half-breed quickly clambered onto the ice and carefully maneuvered his way to the stallion in distress as the ice continued to crack under his hooves. Reaching the other, he lowered his head, hooking his antlers against one of the stallion's legs. With a quick toss of his head, he propelled the other far enough from the threat of sinking. Not wasting any time, with the exception of having to take some time gaining traction, Rinji moved away from the danger as well and back to shore.
