J'ka Siri flicked his hair out of his eyes and started to wander away from the den that he was starting to settle into in the pride. He was staying in his mom's den for the first few days he was living here but he got his own den after catching up and after he felt like he was ready to really get into things as he settled. Today was one of the days where he decided it was a good idea to wander around the pride and check out things and see points of interest.

However he was doing this on his own times, it was the middle of the afternoon and the large male was lifting his head off of the ground his black mane covering his eyes and his body moving slow he knew it was the afternoon, he knew it very well, he normally woke up in the afternoon, unless something was happening that is. But he liked to stay up late in most cases and because of that he liked to sleep in during the afternoon.

He pushed himself up on his legs and then started to wander toward the watering hole. Or... At least where he was told it was. He was hoping that it was pretty easy to find, he started to sniff the air and started to look for the watering hole. He was hoping to have some kind of company today, that was for sure, he would have really enjoyed company, he hadn't met of the lions in the pride and had really only spent time with his family.

Iana stirred as the sun angled to send a beam of light across her closed eyes, wrinkling her nose and sighing, lifting her head and stretching a little as she roused from her nap. For the sun to be entering her den at that angle it must be getting late. She'd been out on an early morning hunt and spent much of the day recovering from it, well fed. It never ceased to surprise her that Khenet could harbor so much bounty for the thriving pride that lived there. The desert that had almost taken her life held this place bursting with it.

The lioness got to her feet, shaking off and emerging from her den, turning also towards the water hole to quench her thirst and relax in the shade. Socializing with others of the pride was always nice. Though she'd been a stranger here upon her first arrival, she truly felt at home in these lands, looking after her nephew who was growing up into a fine young lion.

As she made her way down to the watering hole, she spotted a lion she recognized as a newer member of the pride, one that she had yet to meet. With a smile, she picked up her feet and loped up to join him, brushing up along his side. "Hey, you look a little lost," Iana smiled at him. "Where are you headed?"

J'ka was a little surprised as some one came her way, he really didn't expect some one to come his way and come to his side that was for sure. He was wrapped in his own thoughts at first. He was pretty deep into thinking about his family, he was home and it was nice. He didn't know what to say at first but as he processed his company he grinned at the lioness. Very pretty company that was for sure. He ducked his head in a big of a bow before speaking to her. "Yeah just a little lost." He let out a deep chuckle then turned to her.

He was new to the lands, he wondered if this lioness knew his brother, or for that matter if this lioness was with some one. He felt kind of silly for thinking about it but at the same time he paused and then he smirked at her. "Will you join me and keep me company on the way?" He looked at her again and then smiled ear to ear she was pretty. "My name is J'ka siri." He paused before adding to that. "You can call me J'ka." He looked at her again and then smiled once again. "What is your name?" This was exciting. One of the first days that he was here and he had some lovely company already.

Iana was pleased by his grin, his chivalrous little bow, echoing it with a tilt of her own head. As he confirmed that he was lost, she nodded knowingly, grinning wider when he chuckled again, appealed by the deep, rumbling tone. He seemed a lion of good humor, one worth knowing. When he smirked at her, she blinked. She recognized that tone. She couldn't help but think upon her half-sister's mate, the father of her young nephew, but she quickly shoved thoughts of biting him in a few places she was sure he'd mind away. This lion was nothing like him.

"Of course! I'm headed down to the watering hole myself. I can show you around," she smiled back at him a little coyly, nodding again in acknowledgement of his name. "Well met, J'ka," Iana intoned warmly. "I'm Iana. You're new around here, huh?"

J'ka looked at the lioness and then let out a chuckle. "Well I'm glad to know that I have some great company while I head over there!" He grinned ear to ear before flicking his hair out of his eyes once more, it really was nice to have some company and he was glad to see that most of the pride was a very friendly pride and was more then willing to help him settle in nicely, including this lioness. "Thank you, I have been there once or twice, but I normally go with family and it's a little different when you have some one leading you there." He chuckled some, it was true.

He paused as he took in her name, wanting to remember it for later. Some times he could be forgetful of names He knew for a fact that at times he was forgetful of names, to remembering her name he knew would be a good thing. "I am new around here." He noted with a nod before he turned his head to her and then smiled at her before he began to walk beside her, she knew the pride better then him. "I arrived not that long ago. It's beautiful here and everyone is friendly." He mentioned to her with a large grin before wiggling his toes in front of him and then looking at her. "How long have you been here?" He asked her curiously, even though at times he was a little slow and could be considered 'lazy' he enjoyed being able to have company and have a good conversation with them.

Laying it on a little thick, wasn't he? Iana was amused by this lion, catching those light blue eyes under the strands of his dark mane with her own turquoise ones. She'd set off at an easygoing pace down towards the watering hole, not too distant from the ruins. As she listened to him, she smiled. She remembered how she'd felt upon first arriving here herself.

"Hmm... has it really been three seasons since I arrived here?" the lioness mused aloud in answer to his question. "Sometimes it feels like yesterday. I had no family in the pride. I was found wandering the desert and taken in by the pride," she explained, her smile small and nostalgic, looking forward along their route, eyes distant.

"And here we are," Iana blinked as they came upon the oasis, trotting under the shade of the palm trees.

J'ka nodded to the lioness before thinking for a moment. "I guess when you feel like you're home time goes by quickly." He looked at the lioness hoping that she did feel that way. He paused for a moment before speaking about how he got here. "My family got here before I did." He looked at the lioness and smile before he continued. "We all lived in another pride but it just wasn't right. When we were a little younger our parents decided to have us move here. I'm not sure how they found it though." He chuckled some before pausing and looking as he checked out the oasis. "Wow, this is beautiful." He said simply before he trotted over to the water, it was clear that was amazing. It was really amazing to him.

"The old pride I was in we didn't have waters like this." He commented simply before flopping down on his haunches before turning to him. "I'm very glad to be here, it's a very pleasant pride." He smiled brightly before smiling at her once again. "There are a lot of beautiful sights here." Hse couldn't help himself, at times he was a bit of a lazy lion but at the same time he liked to flirt when he got the chance and she wasn't exactly rejecting him, he didn't see the harm in it.
