Easy's steps were light, his breathing lighter, as he held himself perched precariously along a slender, tangled branch. Gaze cast just above his head, pale eyes shadowed by a frock of dark hair. It was obvious his attention was elsewhere. Geared at things just out of his reach rather then the ground a short way's below him.
Easy was never sure how he managed it. To get himself up into such situations. He was no cat, no bird, no thing with claws and clutching fingers. Yet he managed, always, to weave his way up into the groves. Into the few thick clustered bushes that would support his sturdy yet delicate frame, and when none presented themselves to his liking he wend further. Further to the edges of the swamp where the water edged high and the tree's grew higher. There were always branches there, always treats, eggs and fruits kept safely away from the other ground dwellers.
Easy was quite proud of his ability's, of the secrets he thought only he knew. It kept him, and his smug personality, very well fed.

 Young Nature picked through the vegetation, heading towards the borders of the swamp. She liked to linger there during the day, enjoying the sunshine that didn't always penetrate the thick and dense foliage of home.
At the edge of the swamp, she steps onto the greener grasses of the plains. She stands quietly, soaking in the warm sun, watching the strange creatures that lived out in these parts run past. She thought they were very graceful, and the lithe felines that traveled with them were beautiful.
Sometimes Nature wished she were one of those creatures so she could live in the sunshine all the time.
A rustling noise caught her attention. Her ears swiveled forward and she listens carefully. Leaves fall down onto her white hair and tickled her neck. Just as she shook them off, a large fruit fell on her forehead.
"OW...!!"
Looking up, wincing, she thought she was seeing things. Was..was that a BUCK..up in the tree?

The fruit slipped, Easy had not meant to let it get away from him, but the skin of it was soft and smooth. Just turning ripe and perfect. Too perfect even. The sound from below made him twitch, made his breath hiss out beneath his teeth and his footing slip.
That was not the thud and subsequent 'splat' of something hitting the ground. That was the sound of another living creature. A creature his fruit had 'hit', and so Easy's eyes went down, and he took a deep breath.
Those were two more mistakes he knew not to make. He would kick himself for them later...After...
*Thud~*
Easy hit with a groan, lying there in a heap as his vision blurred and refocused. "Hnng....I..I..." Easy found himself staring, stammering. Dazedly thinking that, at least, the view on the way down had been lovely. More lovely even then the view from up above. Though he would have enjoyed it much more without gravity's interference.
"I am..not clumsy.." Coherency returned slowly, and Easy felt stupid for it. Surely there were better ways to meet a doe! Ways that did not include flailing, and lying on ones back like an overturned turtle.

Nature tripped over her own tail and back legs trying to quickly get out from under the large mass of green and cream that was rapidly falling toward her. She back rolled a couple times over before landing in a tiny heap on her belly. Standing slowly, she shook debris and dirt out of her hair.
"WHAT IN..the world...were you doing..in..a tree...
She tilted her head, examining the buck laying in the broken heap at the base of the tree. Her outrage evaporated like water in a drought.
Handsome..
She felt heat in her cheeks but she shook it away and tried to dismiss the rush of excitment. This dumb male had nearly crushed her!
But, she couldn't help but smile when he moaned out that he "wasn't clumsy".
"So then, you were attempting to fly?" she motioned to the attractive markings on his sides. "While they do look a bit wing like, I do not think that they can carry you on the wind friend.."

Easy cleared his throat, giving the doe a quick lopsided grin as he rolled over onto his stomach, hoping he was moving with a tad more grace then he'd fallen with. Wondering plaintively, as he shook his vision straight, which question of the does to answer first.
Surely the reason he was in the tree had been obvious, fruit yes? He didn't feel like being sarcastic though, and his answer surely would be if he followed that rout.."Mnn, fly? No. Something much more graceful. I was trying to float..or flutter if you wish." Easy jumped at the chance for distraction, and chose rather to lie a little, then to make himself look even more foolish.
It would hurt his pride much less if he let the doe think he'd fallen on purpose. Rather that then have her think he'd lost his balance gazing down at her. Much better. He did, after all, have his name to uphold.
"Your right though, they make terrible wings." Easy chuckled softly, scooching up onto his shaky hooves from his prone position. "Though..they are surprisingly good at catching the eye." Easy had never thought of it before, but the fact that she was staring. It made him feel bold, made him want to preen just as much as it made him want to stare at her a little more. She was MUCH more interesting up close.

Nature cocked an eyebrow at the mention of "fluttering", as if that was something a huge buck can do. A touch of annoyance set in. Was this guy who nearly killed her with fruit and then himself making fun of her? Her nose crinkled a little.
"Well I see by the large crater in the ground," she nodded to the sizable dent in the earth where he landed. "that your, ah, floating, experiment didn't go so well?"
She looks up up and down again, checking of any signs of blood or broken bones. He might seem a little arrogant but if he was hurt she'd not leave him there alone. She couldn't help but admire he patterning and colors. New to the area, she'd hadn't yet met many other kimeti and hoped they weren't all..ah..
"Are you hurt?"

Easy ducked his head for a moment and gave himself a shake. The movement rolling over his body straight from tip to tail. "Mnn..Oh it failed miserably!" His voice holding a cheery note of sarcasm, snorting softly as he glanced between the doe and the fallen fruit. Maybe his fall hadn't been totally tragic. "But it wasn't a total loss. After all I did get the pleasure of meeting you out. You and ahh..and fruit."
Easy absently nodded at the ripe piece of tree fruit that had started this whole wonderful mess. Ears flicking again as she inquired about his well being. Again there was that bubbly, preening feeling, she was lovely and sweet!
Easy felt a sweep of bashfulness, and ducked his head slightly, giving her a soft smile. "Hurt, no-no I'm fine. Hungry, shocked, and absolutely fine. What about you? I did..I mean I nearly crushed you and I don't even know your name." Did that make him rude then? Pouncing after a doe from above without even getting acquainted with her? Not that he'd fallen on purpose.

She felt herself soften towards him a little. She really shouldn't be so hard on him, after all he did just fall out of a tree. She couldn't help but blush when he mentioned that at least he got to meet her, though she tried to tilt her face away so he couldn't see, pretending to be very, very interested in the fruit that was littering the ground.
"Oh..ah..my name is Nature's Abundance.." She uses her hoof to draw out her glyph, the bottom half a large tangle of flowers. "Most people just call me Nature.."
She could still feel the blush across her face so she bent over to devour a piece of the fruit on the ground.
"These are good, I can see why you'd scale a tree for them..but uh...how did you get in a tree...?"
She looks up, a little juice and fruit on her nose and face and paws at the air with a front hoof. "These aren't exactly good for grabbing the bark and all.."

"Nature, thats very..huhn..fitting" Easy couldn't help but let his eyes wander back over the doe swiftly as she paid 'closer' attention to the fruit. He felt his cheeks color for the lovely imagery he got out of it. Her name was indeed, very, very fitting.
"Easy Balance, and it is a gift I was born with. Climbing trees, snatching fruits. Getting down is the really hard part, if only the ground were softer.." Easy chuckled lightly, he had in fact, been born up in a tree, and had been finding himself increasingly drawn to them ever since.
His grin broadening, watching the juice drip as she pawed at the air. "Not good at all, but that's where the practice of fluttering comes in." Easy teased, and that was not at all it, but he felt playful, and she looked 'deliciously comical with that bit of juice dripping.
"You um, oh don't move." Easy's ears flicked again, his eyes narrowing as he suddenly stepped closer to her. Swiping his rough tongue quickly across the tip of her nose, and just as quickly stepping back and away. She was right about the fruit being good, the little taste confirmed that. "You had some..on your nose..its delicious." Easy muttered sheepishly, knowing what he'd done, even if he couldn't quite believe he'd done it.

There was no hiding her blush anymore. The pinkness that started in her cheeks quickly rushed across her face and down her neck. The white pedal patterns on her coat started to turn red.
"I...I...I I I I I....Uhm..uh..thanks.." Nature's brain melted when Easy's warm tongue licked across her soft nose and struggled to regain her senses.
"Yes..yes..the uh..the fruit is delicious.." she managed to stutter out. "I..so..so..you..in the trees..a lot?"
Great Mother Swamp she sounded like an idiot.

Easy tried his hardest not to snicker, but a bright smile broke through, a warm pleased look in his eyes as he laughed outright, bright and loud. She sounded adorable, and he felt glad he was not the only one affected so.
Even stuttering she was stunning, though he was sure she did not do it often. Just as he did not fling himself from the trees at a pretty doe often. "Yes, me in tree lots, fruit is yum. You share fruit with me?" Easy continued to tease softly, feeling that he owed her the fruit and a bit more. True it'd been her fault he'd fallen! But it'd been his fruit that started the whole thing, and he would gladly share it with her.
Easy's eyes continued to flick, over her, the fruit, her nose, eyes..the way her petals seemed to change color. That was a trick he'd like to learn! He could never make his markings anything more then green.

If one could see the inner workings of her head, they would see the doe frantically kicking her own brain with her pink hooves, begging it to work. Nature turned even more bright red as the buck teased her. She'd deserved it for sounding so silly. Begrudgingly she smiled at him. She couldn't help herself, he was too charming.
Clearing her throat, she tried to put back on a look of control and calmness.
"Oh..we're out of the fruit." she said, glancing around. She saw several that had rolled under some bushes but she pretended that they weren't there. She wanted to see Easy climb that tree. "I wonder...could you possibly get us more..?"
Nature fluttered her lashes and cooed her request.
"Pllleeeaseeeeeee Easy....?"

Easy tried to stifle his wide grin and soft snicker, seeing her soft white petals heat up into an even more vivid shade of cherry. It was quite adorable on her. The buck blinking slowly at the mention of fruit; tilting his head back, mouth open in a small 'oh'. Realizing with a new wave of butterflies in his stomach that he'd have to climb all the way back up there.
"I suppose. I mean how can I say no to such a pretty doe, with such sweet manners!" Easy chuckled, swallowing down his nervousness "This time, I promise not to fall on you..."
Easy's tail swished slowly as he moved away from Nature to circle the tree. Eyes cast up to the high limbs and soft fruits, he liked these kinds of trees, with softer bark that was easy to dig in on with his hooves. The sharper..more thorny trees were always a bit tougher to scale. Seeming to pick a spot with his gaze. Eyes never leaving it, Easy steadily backed away, crouching down low like a cat looking to pounce. In the next instant he was in the air, hooves meeting the bark and hauling himself up in a quick powerful movement.
Appearing quite ungainly until hooves met the swaying touch of the branches. Tail curling and lashing, spreading his legs out amongst the branches. Testing them steadily until he found one that seemed to please him, one that could hold his weight better then the rest. "Hnn, now is there, any fruit in particular?" Easy made certain not to look down this time, focusing on breathing and balance.
