Tiny insects danced around the streetlight above him. Their little bodies buzzing excitedly before finally making contact with the luminescent bulb. Some simply kept up the pace while others tired out or simply fell to the ground. Crimson eyes watched intently as these tiny bugs ceaselessly tried to capture the light above him. Esperite would be lying if he didn't admit to seeing an odd resemblance between the bugs above and his own circumstance. After so many solo missions, he felt very much like a tiny little bug trying to accomplish such a daunting task such as capturing a seemingly endless light. He felt his body shift into a more vulnerable state, his face telling of his lack of motivation. Quickly, he straightened himself up. He hated that feeling and he was already going to have to be on his best behavior for his intended partner in crime for the evening. It felt a little odd to ask his superior for some one-on-one time in order to better acquaint himself with the Negaverse. Esperite hoped he didn't come off desperate or needy. He would certainly have to appear confident and on point when the captain arrived. Looking around, he made sure no one was watching his odd shift in posture. As he returned his gaze back to his own position, he noticed one of the bugs had fallen to the ground. Disgusted, he stamped it out with the heel of his leather shoe.
"Weak, worthless little thing. Couldn't you have tried harder?"
Esperite glanced both directions; he had specified the entrance to the park in the center of Destiny City. Specifically, he meant the east entrance near the block containing the largest and most expensive hotels. In fact, a few townhouses bordered the adjacent street from where he was standing. Hopefully some of the residents would be out a little later tonight. Making sure his posture was stern and confident; he removed his himself from leaning on the streetlight and walked a few feet to the trees that stood near the entrance. He still wore his civilian disguise in order to help the captain recognize him. The last thing Esperite wanted was for them to start off on an awkward moment.

Of all the higher-ups, Scheelite was at least one that wanted to be involved with the lower level agents. It wasn't total common knowledge just yet, but the blonde captain had grand ideas involving staying the hell away from the field of battle and devoting all of his time to helping those who needed a little nudge to get really acquainted with the organization. Now it was just a matter of selling his own higher-ups on the idea and then throwing himself into it full time.
Training with Esperite tonight? Well, that'd be a good step into this plan of his!
Scheelite also wasn't that talented in reading body posture and the feelings it might portray. So as the captain, currently in his own brightly colored civilian outfit, made his way to their designated meeting area the confidence that Esperite was displaying was completely lost on him. Instead, he just saw a lieutenant that had requested his help. That in itself was just an AWESOME thing.
Maybe he really could do this whole teaching thing he had planned...
As for avoiding an awkward moment, well Scheelite was usually just full of them.
"Hey there!" The Captain approached Esperite with a jog, one hand held high over his head in an enthusiastic greeting. His enthusiasm and...well slight lack of professionalism simply screamed youngster. But this youngster was about to spend the night training with him.
"So, ready to get started?" The boy was all smiles, waiting to see what the lieutenant had to say before getting this show on the road.

"Captain, it's good to see you. I can't say how grateful I am that you decided to take the time to see me."
Teddy moved onto the paved path and gave his superior a smile. He had hoped to kill two birds with one stone by not only training a bit, but also draining some energy from the remaining denizens of the park. He checked his phone to make sure no one was trying to contact him. An odd habit he had developed in order to make sure he wasn't expected, as to avoid suspicion. With his message inbox empty, he placed the blackberry back into his pocket.
"I'm ready when you are you. I hoped we could train a little bit before we began gathering energy, if that's alright of course. I would love to partake in some of your experience. Not to mention, I must admit I'm very curious to see you fight since I've heard your weapon is rather unconventional. I hope it's not too much trouble to indulge me?"
Teddy then looked the area over twice. He didn't see anyone, but he still didn't feel comfortable switching into his Negaverse persona in the open. Turning back to Demy, he gave him a smile before preceding.
"Do you mind if we "change" in a more secluded area? I don't like the idea of anyone seeing us."

"No problem dude! You ever need any help just give me a ring yeah? You can have my cell number if you want, but I'm usually around to answer the Nega-phone if needed!"
Demy waved his own phone at the other a moment before tucking it away in a pocket. He wouldn't need it for a while at least, so it was safe to leave it in his civvie clothes.
"I'm ready! Let's go find somewhere to change yeah? And you've heard of my weapon? It's pretty cool, I'll totally show you what it can do! Definitely don't mind dragging it out, I could use the practice with it...I haven't pulled it out in a while, really."
Not since the night of the BMC raid. Ugh.. Grinning at the other he waved for him to follow as he led them to a more secluded spot that would do well for changing.
"Let's change, hit up some sparring practice, and then we'll see who's still awake that can give us some energy. How's that sound?" Demy was definitely one Captain that wanted to be sure his trainees were included in the planning process and felt comfortable with the night's plans.

Following his superior officer into a more private area of the park, he wondered if anyone would be around after they sparred. Teddy had to admit he wasn't quite sure of the area's demographic. The townhouses across the street held promise, but he didn't want the hassle of breaking and entering. However, as they reached their destination, he pushed the thoughts back and assured himself that there would be at least some homeless people wondering around later on.
"What a wonderful little spot to change, Captain. I'll have to remember it later in case I return here for more energy gathering."
In a split second, Teddy disappeared and Lt. Esperite replaced him. Slightly taller and more flamboyantly dressed, Teddy liked to think that the change made discovering his identity absolutely impossible. This was just another small mental reassurance that only served to boost his ego. However, he couldn't say the same for his weapons as the two plastic daggers materialized, one in each hand, he couldn't help, but to feel embarrassed. Attempting to fight a senior officer of the Negaverse was a big enough challenge already without having to be hindered by such playthings.
"Whenever you are ready, we can begin sparring. Please let me know if you need a moment to warm up or anything of that nature. I don't mean to rush you if you have a pre-battle ritual."
