Arden was busy trying to unclog an irrigation ditch he had dug earlier in the week. For some reason, it kept getting clogged very quickly. He'd never had so much problems with one before. It was thoroughly annoying.
Wiping his sweaty forehead on his foreleg, he took a deep breath. There was no sense in getting too irritated about it. After all this was Mother Nature's land, and he needed to respect Mother Nature despite his current difficulties.
Maybe it would be better to dig an irrigation ditch in another area, but what was so wrong with this one?
Calm Winds flitted across the clearing, his hoots filling the air. Arden looked up at Calm Winds, who seemed to be in one of his...moods. Although, at least this seemed to be a happy mood? But how long would that last.
Calm Winds landed on a stump near by and fluttered his wings out. "Someone's coming this way. Probably, to steal your crops." He ruffled his feathers.
Yeah, wrong again. Calm Winds was in a bad mood.
