Tadi Kidudushi lay sprawled in dappled sunlight under the bough of a tree, rousing herself from a nap. She yawned as she came fully awake, rolling to her feet and squinting out into the late afternoon as she raised herself upright. Rolling her shoulders and flicking her fluffy ears forward, the adolescent lioness reached forward and started out from under the tree at a trot. Though she was a member of the Earth Clan by birth, she didn't stick around her clan's usual hangouts too often. She was a gregarious creature by nature and wanted to meet others of the pride, particularly those her age. Though she had two siblings, she always craved new friends and contacts to soothe her restless soul. The red-eyed youth was far afield today, exploring the lands on her own, though spending too long alone made her depressed. She never strayed away for too long.

Svgata had just recently returned from his journey into the rogue lands. He hadn't gone far, and he'd gone under the pretense of practicing hunting where he wouldn't disturb the pride's internal herds. Of course, rather than prey he'd found a leopard, and they'd talked a long while. She'd made him think about why his pride did what they did, and made him glad to have a home and family that was large and supportive. On the way home he'd managed to take down a baby antelope, which he now had in his jaws. The legs hung limply on either side of his muzzle, and tended to knock together as he leapt over stones and went down hills. He wasn't back in his own clan, the wolf clan's lands yet, but he was towards the heart of the pride. He wanted to show off his kill before gobbling it up!

Tadi's roaming carried her in Svgata's direction, perking up her ears with a bob of the red feather dangling from the right one as she heard another lion moving through the grass, ducking under vines, red eyes lighting up as she spotted him, his ruff of mane betraying his youth, though he would undoubtedly soon grow into his prime. She didn't recognize him, but it was obvious by his build and his tattoos that he was in the pride, though certainly not of her clan.
As he leapt down from a rock, she saw that he was carrying a baby antelope in his jaws and was instantly envious. She licked her chops and trotted towards him, ears swiveled forward, smiling cheerfully.
"Nice kill!" she applauded, considering going back to her own home to see what there was to eat. It was about that time for eating, anyway.

Svgata of course caught wind of the stranger approaching. No one that wasn't of the pride would be in this part of the land, and he felt sure he had nothing to fear. He could show off even! He puffed up, stood taller...Ah, perfect! It was a girl! He'd been paying more attention to those these days. They were pretty, and sweet (mostly), and he'd been watching he dad very closely. He didn't dream of having a family quite yet, but...well he was looking forward to impressing a pretty young lady.
He set the kill down so he could talk, and put one paw over it. He didn't even imagine she'd try to take it, but his nature as a hunter poked him to protect what was his. "Thanks! I wanted one of the big ones...I'm not quite strong enough yet." He grinned. He was fast though, clearly. She liked his skills! "You want some? There's plenty." That was a lie. It was about just enough for him alone, but his dad had always told him sharing was very important, and that you should be kind to females especially. He'd taken his lessons to heart. He lifted his paw from the poor dead thing and nudged it a bit. "It's still fresh."

Tadi couldn't help but notice how he pulled himself upright, grinning at him. She stopped when he did, looking down at the kill with the proper amount of wonder and glancing up at him as he placed a possessive paw over it. The lioness nearly laughed when he offered to share with her. It was awfully tempting, but now that she'd seen it up close, she saw that there wasn't that much. "Oh, that's so kind of you! I couldn't... you should share it with your family," she shook her head, even as her stomach grumbled a little with interest at the scent of the fresh meat.
At that, she grinned-- she wasn't going to injure his pride by declining his generous offer if he insisted, and she inclined her head, expecting nothing.
"You should teach me your skills, hunter. I haven't caught anything that big yet," she sat back on her haunches, a little coy.

Heh heh...funny. Svgata hadn't really been into girls before this. Now he was noticing them everywhere. And paying lots more attention to how they moved and the way they said things. It made his head feel warm and fuzzy, like he was floating. And that look she gave him as she sat back on her hind paws? He thought his heart might skip more than one beat at that. It wasn't love at first sight, of course, but he was a young male, and suddenly girls were really, really pretty.
"Uh, uhm, I mean, you're in the pride, right? So we're all family. Uh. Here?" He bit into the poor dead animal, tearing a haunch off with a quick twist and shake of his head. He held it out, offering it up to her. "Uhm, me either. Until today I mean. Like obviously I got this, but before today I sucked at hunting! Oh no that doesn't sound good either...uhm..." He trailed off and buried his muzzle in the food. Chew, don't talk, and try not to eat messily. He thought he could get that much done right at least.

Tadi saw how the young lion stammered, suddenly adorably shy. He was so cute, she really couldn't bear to injure his pride by rejecting his gift. "Awww, that's so sweet of you! Thank you so much, really!" she gushed, stroking his pride, taking the haunch gratefully. The lioness was equally pleased to fill her stomach, and without any further encouragement she dug into the hunter's gift, tearing it into strip after strip, washing her paws and fastidiously keeping her whiskers clean.
As he blundered, she lifted her head, smiling at him. "I dunno, you must be doing something right, right?" she tilted her head. "I haven't had any luck at all. I really need a teacher or something..." she sighed. Perhaps she'd go bother her mother to take her on a hunt.

Svgata had done his best to eat cleanly, and focusing on the food had helped keep his nerves down. Why was he so darned nervous?! Poor boy, he thought maybe he was coming down with something. His head was swimming and his gut was twisting. When he looked up to speak to her (blushing under his fur at her kind words) his muzzle was smeared with blood and mess. A scrap of meat was poking out the corner of his mouth, flapping unnoticed as he offered a lopsided smile and spoke.
"W-well I'm not that good, but lions usually don't hunt alone...maybe next time I'm heading out to practice...I can come find you, and we could..I dunno...go together?"
