The mare looked up at the sky. The clouds were rather dark, and she was far from home. Chastity had gone out looking for her missing daughter again, even though Tybalt told her, that Avia was probably dead, and that she needed to move on. But she had heard that she was alive... But evil. It pulled at her heart to think that that, Avia turned out like that. Where had she gone wrong? The skies felt her heart did. But on top of all of that, she missed Radi's foalhood...

It was then that the sky opened up, and a down pour started.

Sometimes it was hard to be alone. Fable had grown up this way. His mother had never been quite motherly and she had only rarely ever been around. The second that he, Zachary and Ayla were able to survive on their own, she was gone from their lives like a whisper on the wind. He did not hate her for it. But it was hard to love a mother who did not even care for his existance. He was an accident to her. A mistake. Nothing more. From the vague mentionings of his grandmother by Spell, he had decided that she must be pretty nice. It was a curious thing to see what made her daughter, his mother, so emotionally distant.

It was things like this, his past and his present, that often occupied his mind during the wanderings he faced through the Kawani lands. Sometimes the thoughts were light, happy memories as a foal. The way he and Zach used to tease Ayla about her light blonde hair. But sometimes the thoughts were dark. The suffocating isolation he felt when alone but the overpowering sense of claustrophobia that often consumed him when he was around others. Black and white. No shades of grey.

He was still preoccupied as the first drops of water began to fall from the sky with increasing intensity. Shaken from his reverie, he snorted as the water ran down his face, glaring at the sky. It went from sprinkling to raining. From raining to downright pouring. He quickened his pace a bit, but otherwise, simply pressed on. Visibility was poor in the falling rain and he didn't see the pale multicolored mare until he had almost ran into her.

"Huh...?" Chastity dully looked over to see the stallion. He had almost walked right into her. Not that she was upset about it. She lowered her head, her gaze fixed on him. "Funny how the weather works." She commented, sensing that he was a bit bothered by the down pour, but wasn't going to let it stop him. She admired that.

The weather was always fickle in the spring. But the weather just the weather. "Am I blocking your way?" She asked softly, the rain pounded so hard, she'd be lucky if he heard her.

Sharp green eyes blinked past water that had ran in rivers down his face, looking at the pale mare. He grimaced lightly. He was a kind stallion, his mother had dutifully taught him to respect mares. And here he was, messing all that up in one blow. "A thousand apologies." He murmured with a dip of his head. She didn't seem angry with him, or even upset at all. Well, that was a good sign at least.

Funny how the weather works. He almost laughed at her words. This was something he could easily agree with. But he figured she would not see the irony in it and would believe his laugh was in spite. "Yes indeed." Oh the weather. He tilted his head to the sky, the dark grey clouds that swirled overheard like a great vortex. It didn't look loke it was going to let up anytime soon.

It took him a moment before he realized that she had spoken again because she had said it so softly. "Oh not at all! I have no place to be." It was true. He was essentially a nomad, forever wandering. Traveling. "Am I blocking yours?" He teased good naturedly, after all he had been the one to run into her. "I'm Fable." He said with a warm grin.

Chast was happy to hear that he wasn't bothered by her. Though she was blocking the road. She tilted her head slightly, and then shifted to get a better look at the stallion. He was a bit bigger then her. Chastity shook her head and grinned. "Not at all! I was just... well. Standing here, and then it started to pour." She shook her head a little. Her hair pulled as the water weighed it down.

"I'm Chastity, it's a pleasure meeting you." She hooved the ground, it was getting muddy... "Do you think we should get out of the rain?"

Fable couldn't help but grin back. The mare's easy going personality was quite contagious. He found it amusing that she had simply been standing in place when the rains started. Perhaps her mind had been preoccupied. Much like his had been when he had run into her stationary figure. He looked to her green and yellow mane, noticing the purple streaks that ran through the end of it. It was also the first time he ever registered the large black horn that was placed int the center of her forward. Unicorn. That was unique. "You have a bit of water in your hair. Were you aware?" He teased good naturedly, covering up the fact that he had been curiously staring at the horn.

There were black spikes on her back as well. Another feature he had not fully registered yet in the confusion of the collision and rain. Funny. He almost missed her comment about getting out of the rain. "Yes, perhaps we should." He mused carefully, considering the proposal. "I'm not really from around here though. Do you know where we could go?" He wasn't lost. Not really. To be lost, one must first have an end destination to be lost from. Seeing as he didn't, he perferred calling it an adventure. But in the rain, when you had no idea where you were or where to go to seek shelter, the 'adventure' seemed rather bleak. Hopefully, anyways, this mare would know where to go.

Chastity had trouble taking her eyes off the stallion, she hadn't joked around in such a long time. She started to forget why she was out that way in the first place. "Oh, just a little?" She laughed, she had almost forgot about the rain too, and then noticed how heavy her hair has gotten. Her tailed curled lightly, and she shook her head. "That better?"

As she shifted so did the spikes on her back. "Well truth be told, I'm not from around here either. But I think we could make something." Her light eyes looked around. "Ah over there." She nodded her head and then took steps to the large ever greens. Some of the local wild life must have fed on the lower branches.

Using her horn since she wasn't tall enough she pulled one of the branches down and over the opening. "Like this... See? And when they layer, they'll stop most of the rain!" She felt so resourceful. Wouldn't her parents be proud!
