Nickname(s)/Alias(es): Aero Flint
Race: Shinigami
Age: 130, died at age 29
Height: 185 cm
Weight: 85 Kilograms
Rank: Unseated
Physical Description: Aero grew out his dark blonde hair while he was in Prisoner of War camp, and he has actually come to enjoy the length. His eyes are a dark blue with a tint of grey, and his face has exactly five small scars (two parallel cuts on his right check, one across his chin, one under his left eye, and one over his right eyebrow). He also lost his right eye (I'll explain how that one happened later).
Physically he is well-kempt. Raised in polite society, he is well accustom to keeping himself looking good. And from his time in the army, he has a well built body which he puts a lot of effort into maintaining. He misses his army uniform, but he fills the Shinigami outfit quite nicely.
Aero Flint
Personality: Aero would never back down from a fight when he knows what he's fighting for is worth it. This isn't to say he'll charge right into a situation without regard for himself (or for the regard of his allies). Sardonic but not crude, proud but never boisterous, Aero is a friend first, and a solider second. Humor is probably his most social aspect, being gifted with comedic timing and off-color jokes. His time in the army taught him discipline, which he holds as one of his better quality.
Although he would never consider himself a flirt, there has been an occasion or two where he was chased out of a farmgirl's embrace by an angry father with a pitchfork.
During a fight Aero always believed in hitting hard, hitting fast, and giving his opponent little to no time to think about what they are going to do. Close Quarters Combat fits his style of fighting perfectly. Aero has never been above making a sacrifice to win a fight, but never going as far to sacrificing another person.
Zanpakutou:
Zanpakutou Spirit: Aero's spirit resides in a dark cell in barn on the edge of a battlefield. Bound in iron chains, it waits to hear its true name and be released from the prison its master made for him. Strong-willed, fierce in presence, and above all else angry at Aero for keeping it locked away for so long.
Surprisingly enough(not really) Aero dislikes his spirit. Never explaining why to anyone, he has only comment that "I refuse to accept that the spirit of my power is that thing." All that Aero has said of his Zanpakutou spirit is the scorching red eyes that burn like the hellfire in the pitch black of his cell. In it's presence, Aero could only describe it as, "the feeling one has when they are caught in the front of an oncoming train."
Perhaps one day the two will find peace, but until then. His spirit will bide its time, wading in its rage.
Inner World: The Inner-world of Aero is the one place he felt he belonged, the battlefield. Mines, barbed wire, artillery fire, and the gray haze of smoke and ash. The inner conflict between his aggressive side and the scared boy who was sent to war. Wadding through the battlefield, Aero would see a barn set ablaze. He would know that it inside, there would be a dark cell. And locked tightly, clad in iron, his spirit waits for him.
Sealed Form: In it's sealed form Aero's Zanpakutou is a standard issue military trench knife. The handle wraps around your hand and has a barb on the outside of the loop for each finger. The blade is polish, but always appears old. The blade itself is roughly 8 inches long, and the handle adds another 5 inches. If desired, the knife can seperate into two parts (a knife, and a pair of brass knuckles).Trench Knife
Also, considered the greatest compact zombie killing weapon in the world.
(Not obtained yet) Shikai Name/Release Phrase: What Aero would call him: Never be broken, Tessenro! (Iron Railway)
Actual Name: Ride along the metal road,
leaving flames and ash in wake.
You may be bound but still you'll fight,
Tetsukoma, never break! (Iron Horse)
Shikai Description: Upon release Tessenro becomes a long, unbroken chain that wraps around Aero's wrists, arms, and around his shoulder (Think of a feather boa, but instead a giant iron chain.) The chains slow Aero down roughly 50%, but make his punches about 125% more powerful. Normally the chains wrap mainly around his knuckles and wrists, making them perfect guards for close quarters combat.
Aero has actually said his Zanpakutou's real name only once, and he did not like the results. Since then, he has just been calling it Tessenro and things seem to be working out.
Shikai Powers/Attacks:
Tessenro really only has fourth special qualities.
One is that it can move of it's own accord like a serpent, moving around enemies who are distracted and binding them or acting like an extra set of arms. This only works within a range of about 3 1/2 meters before the chain will go slack, or as far as it can stretch.
The second is that the chain itself can flux in size at will. The chain itself is roughly about 2 1/2 meters (8 feet), and can grow to a length of 10 meters (roughly 30 feet).
The third is an ability Aero calls "the Arm of Gilgamesh". The entire chain wraps around a single arm and Aero delivers a devastating punch. With enough momentum the punch can knock through 10 walls, but when standing still could only knock through 1.
The fourth is probably Aero's most practical move called "The Cull the Herd". Aero throws out his chain and it fastens around an arm (or an appendage) and locks in place around both parties. It basically makes any fight a handcuffed match. The bond will be broken if Aero is knocked out or the chain is hit with enough force.During this time, Aero's speed is returned to normal and his strength is not increased.
(Not obtained yet) Bankai Name: Aero can not get his Bankai until he mans up and calls his Zanpakutou by it's actual name.
Bankai Description: Heck if he knows.
Bankai Powers/Attacks: He'll figure something out.
Special Accessories: Aero has an eyepatch. Nothing special, just an Eyepatch.
Skills:
-Boxing
Abilities:
Kidou: Aero is only fluent in basic Kidou, which is probably as good as he is going to get.
Hand to Hand Combat: Aero has been trained in the art of boxing, and is adept at it. His training has focused his perception in close quarters combat, making him better at dodging physical attacks. Because boxing is a strictly hand to hand sport, his legs are not as adept in combat. But he more than makes up for it in his fists.

Biography/History: Augustus Sterling Flint was born on the only hot day in November in his little town by the sea. You would think this would be a good sign for Augustus' life, but that was hardly the case. His mother was a mistress to an Archduke, and was taken care of though always in the shadows. He was given toys, and books, and some of the best schooling that any child could ask for. But he never asked for it. He only asked for his father. But that was a request that his mother could never satisfy.
He was never fully accustom to this type of life , he found himself much more at home on the streets watching the automobiles and locomotives pass-by. Perhaps one day he could be a conductor. And maybe in another life he could. But not this lifetime. It seemed fate had much more cruel intentions.
Before his 26th birthday, war was declared on his country and all able bodied men were required to join the war effort. And although his father was an Archduke, it seemed that Augustus could not avoid the call to arms and he was drafted into fighting on the frontlines as a foot solider. Perhaps this is what he wanted, a chance to shine in the ranks and earn his father's eye.
The next two years he spent in the trenches seem like something out of a nightmare. And sometimes, even to this day, the line between what happened and what actually was a nightmare blurs. His life became one of smoke and iron. Rain and blood. Men lost their faces behind gas masks, and lost their souls behind firing lines. The lose of human life was immense, but Augustus' will to live was strong. He earned the nickname "Aero". It was either because of his speed into a raid, or his talk of wanting to pilot one of the bombers that flew over head. He didn't really care. He liked the name. It fit him well.
After a raid behind enemy lines went wrong, he was captured and put into a Prisoner of War camp. Aero was furious for being captured, being trapped like a colt in a stable. Regularly he would fight the guards, ruin the mess hall, and try to run away. His attempts of escape became so numerous that he had to be kept in a makeshift cell in an old barn. But this would not stop him. He continued to try to escape. Never giving up. Never giving in. An unbroken Soldier.
Soon these escape attempts grow tiresome for the guards. Tiresome became annoyed. and Annoyed became angry. Soon Aero was on a daily routine of being beaten, starved, and tortured. But he still fought it. The beatings became so bad that he lost the use of his right eye. But he refused to give up on escaping. Never losing resolve. Never broken.
Eventually the beatings and starvation caught up with him, and his body could not handle it. It was the coldest day in November when he died. Locked away in a stable, still wanting to fight. Still not broken.
When his soul was finally collected, Aero found himself in the slums of Rukongai, where he saw to his horror one of the very soldiers who had captured him. So naturally, he tried to kill him. The two fought until the soldier asked a question that Aero could not answer.
"Why are you trying to kill me?"
Aero, in his time on the battlefield, never really had a reason to fight. Sure he could say it was to please his father, or to survive. But he knew that wasn't true.
"I don't know." he replied.
He asked the soldier his name. "Piotr." he answered. There was no magic moment where the two became friends or they would laugh about the foolishness of their fighting. It was too late for that. Too much had been done. But there was one thing that happened. Aero no longer hated this man, or the men who captured him.
Hate wasn't going to get him anywhere.
He joined the Shinigami Academy as soon as he could, wishing to see how the world had changed outside of Rukongai. He wondering if the rest of the world had forgotten their hatred. And if they didn't, if they remembered what they were fighting for and if it was worth it.
Powers: Basic Powers.
