Pixie swayed her body to a beat that only she could hear as she meandered down an empty street in the middle of the night. Off in the distance, an ambulance siren wailed as it headed towards the scene of an accident. The little brown havana payed the siren no heed. She had heard enough of them during the past few months that she had been on her own than she had when she lived the short time with the human that had abandoned her. She sighed softly and slunk into a narrow alleyway. It seemed as if the sirens were getting louder-at least to her they did. She wanted to get off of the streets and away from any humans that might try to kidnap her-not that they would want to kidnap her in the first place. She was in no state to be taken home by any human. Her fur had slight matts in it and her once glossy fur was now starting to dull. Pausing for a few seconds, she leaned against the alley-wall, straining her ears to try to hear if the sirens had gotten closer. As it turned out they actually got further away from her. Breathing a sigh of relief, she continued her trek down the alleyway, not taking any chances in backtracking to the seemingly empty stree that she had left behind her.

---

Kiba's rounded ears picked up the wail of a siren, brought back to the bad memories of his family... His man. A heart attack had killed the old guy, and to this day Kiba would remember the siren's shrilling call... A death call. A shiver traced down his spine as he skittered into an alley, his mostly-black coat making him look like a living shadow. A streetlight was the only source of light besides the stars and in the dim yellowness of it, it made the Exotic's fair hair and skin pasty yellow. Rubbing hands up and down his arms, he shuffled forwards, jumping as he noticed the dark-pelted girl creeping forwards. Towards him. Probably seeing him right now, in this minute. Flattening his ears to his blond hair, he stuffed both hands in his pockets of his jeans. "Um... Hello there..." Nervously.

---

Pixie stopped in her tracks as she heard a voice echo from the shadows in front of her. She tilted her head slightly to one side and tugged on the hem of her skirt. Her dark skin was perfect to blend into the shadows but at that moment she wished that she was just a hint lighter than she was. She blinked her golden eyes, wondering how long the other cat had been there or if she had somehow wandered into another's territory. Forcing a fake smile on her face, she took a few steps closer towards where the voice came from. "Hello," she said in a sweet-like voice.

---

Kiba tested the air, sniffing in short spurts, a dreadful chill coming over him. Hell. Why did he insist on wandering the streets? Wouldn't Dio's family take him in if he asked... A territory of his own would've been nice. He hunched his shoulders, looking like a beaten puppy. "Hi..." He looked her over, dark fur, dark skin, collar rung around her throat. "You...are abandoned as well?" Head tipped to the side, he touched the strap of tight leather at his throat.

---
Pixie took a few more steps towards the other cat and she could tell by the scent that it was a male one. She smirked slightly. Her nervousness faded away as her female wiles kicked in. She flicked a strand of hair that had gotten free from her twin ponytails behind her shoulder. It had been a while since she had been around any strange male cats and she was slightly thrilled by this moment with this new male. She glanced at his neck as he tugged on the collar that he still bore. She instinctively touched the ribbon that served as her own collar. Nodded her head, her smirked turned slightly solemn. "Yeah. Been abandoned for about a year now." She loooked away from her collar, not wanting to be reminded of her own, and she looked into his eyes. "I'm guessing you, too, are a stray...am I right?" The smirked returned as she slunk closer to him.

---
Kiba pursed his lips--a year. About the same for him... But...was hers by choice? "Yeah," he admitted a little sheepishly, scratching an invisible itch at the back of his neck. "My owner...he died. And his nephew put me out on the streets. Then...I tried. I thought I had a new home, but the boy was allergic. So..." Sigh. "Here I am. I'm Kiba..." He backed up a little as she slinked closer, a little too close for this cat. "You?"

---
Pixie stopped in her tracks as she watched him back away from her. What did she do wrong? Or was it that he didn't like females? She hadn't encounter a gay male cat before. Maybe this was her first one. She pinned her ears back against her skull as she listened the the shortened version of his abandonment. "My last owner called me Pixie. Not really sure why she called me that but the name stuck. My owner didn't die. She left me when the apartment complex that she lived in got repossessed and then torn down. I had snuck out of her little apartment that we lived in when she didn't return for a few days and then came back a few hours later to find that the building was gone. I...am not sure why she didn't return for me. I am sure she must have tried but..." She let her voice fade away, not wanting to remember about that day again. She shook her head slightly as she put another fake smile on her lips. "So, Kiba, what brings you to this dark alleyway at this late hour?"

---

Kiba frowned at her story. "I'm sorry, Pixie. That must've been frightning, to be left alone. Ah well, we cannot change the past, huh?" He giggled softly, nervously, hunching shoulders again. He saw her smile--a smile that didn't reach her eyes. It made him nervous--but then again, everything made him nervous. "Looking for a place to sleep..." he murmured. "But I've not found anything comfy. I don't have a territory yet, so..." He trailed off, nibbling his lower lip.
---
Pixie nodded her head slightly at his statement. "Yeah, I guess you're right," she said in a soft voice. She had often wondered what might have happened if she could turn back time. Would she still be with Angela or would things still be the same? She watched him carefully, not wanting to make any sudden movements that might scare him away. Afterall, he was the first one outside of the Gaijin Gesuidou territory that she had seen in a while. She heard him mention that he didn't have a territory of his own and she weighed her options carefully. She wondered if it was the right thing for her to offer him a place to stay at. She was sure that BC would want more members in his territory though she wasn't sure if she was allowed to bring any strangers into the territory. She took a deep breath and decided to risk it. "If you are looking for a good place to stay...maybe the Gaijin Gesuidou territory might be a good place to try and see if that is a good home for you? I recently joined it and even though most of the territory is in the sewers, it isn't that half of a bad place to live in.
---

Kiba listened to her carefully as she pondered over something, green eyes darting to the mouth of the alley, where a couple of cats passed by without a word. Hand-in-hand, lovey-dovey. It brought a smile to his mouth, remembering Dio and his beautiful musician's hands... Though when Pixie spoke aloud, Kiba met her eyes and held his breath. He'd heard of the Gaijin, a bunch of fighters to rally against the humans. His brow furrowed at the thought of himself being aggressive... "I...thank you, Pixie. But I don't think I'm suited for that sort of life." Spoken a little sheepishly, he was on edge now, wondering if Pixie was aggressive now that he'd said no. "I'm..hoping to join my boyfriend's territory," he admitted, a flush across his cheeks. "In the University."
---

Pixie shrugged her shoulders at him. "That's fine. Not most cats are suited to it. Though sometimes I question why I am in that territory until I remember what the humans did to my old home and what I've heard about what they do to the captured cats in the labs that we are trying to rescue." She paused for a few moments, wondering if it was a good idea to continue talking to him about BC's plan of getting rid of the labs and freeing the captured cats. She decided that wasn't a good idea to talk about that anymore. She winced, though, when he mentioned a boyfriend. Ah, of course he was gay. The one male that she wandered across in a while and he's gay. Oh, well. There was still a sea full of male cats and there would be the perfect one out there to become her mate. So she missed her chance to get this one under her spell. That didn't deter at all. "Good luck with that," she said with a sincere smile that reached her eyes.

---
The labs. She was talking about the Facility. Ohgod... He'd almost been caught by those bastards. Hackles prickling, he wrapped both hoodie-clad arms around himself and pressed his eyes shut, trying to ward off the memories. "I remember," he said. "I...didn't see the trap. I barely got away. I hope whoever took them down burned the humans to the ground." He saw her smile and smiled back, face warming. "Thank you..." he murmured, sincerely, smiling at her wince. "And I hope you can find yourself someone to...yanno. Kiss." He blushed at the thought, laughing lightly. "Hm. So what are you doing out here, if you have a territory, Miss Pixie?"

---

Pixie's smile faded a little bit. She had brought up an old memory of his that he wanted surpress forever. She didn't mean to do that. It just sort of slipped out. She was like that sometimes. She scuffed her foot on the ground as she clapsed her hands behind her back. She had done a bad thing. "Sorry," she muttered under her breath. Hopefully he would forgive her for bringing up that old memory. The smile returned as he spoke to her about her finding someone that she could love. "Maybe...one day my prince may come. But it seems like today isn't that day." She shrugged slightly. "Oh, well." She tugged on the hem of her skirt again when he asked her why she was out here if she had a territory. "I sometimes get wandering feet. I think it is because I've been without a home to call home for a long time. I am sure that it will fade away eventually but for now I wander whenever my paws want to. I am sure I will find my way back home again and then wander again in a few months.

---

"No problem," he murmured, smiling once again, though it was shy. "And...I'm sorry... I'm sure you'll find a great guy, though." He shrugged his shoulders a little, brushing blond bangs from his eyes. "And if it helps any, if I thought girls were sexy, you'd be the kind of girl I'd be with. Just sayin'." He grinned now. "Ah. I know what you mean. But I've been wandering aimlessly so long that...I dunno. I'm ready to settle down." He reached the end of the alley, looking back at her cast in the yellowy light. "I...hope you find him. Your prince charming. You deserve it."

---

Pixie blinked a few times. Her smile widened slightly at him. At least he was honest with her. It was just a little sad that he wasn't attracted to her in the way that she wished that he would be. Yes, he was honest...too honest for his own good, at least that's what she thought. She shook her head slightly, putting that to the back of her mind. Oh, well. There were plenty of fish in the sea. She just had to pick one and pray that he wouldn't turn out like Kiba. "Good luck with settling down with your...significant other." She didn't want to say the word 'boyfriend' to him. It just didn't seem to flow off her tongue like it would if she was talking about a boyfriend in her own terms. "Thanks," she said as she waved briefly at him as he walked away from her. She waited a few moments before trotting away herself, this time back where she came from. It was time for her to return home.
