Fairuza was once more on her own and wandering the savana. She hadn't had an interesting cub hood, no trauma or great inspirations. When she was grown enough her mother booted her children into the world to take care of themselves. Fairuza had done a pretty decent job, she ate often enough, could usually find company when she wanted it, but there wasn't a spark. So she'd taken to wandering to find that spark, that one thing that would make her life complete, that would make her happy. Though for now, she'd settle for some dinner.

It would soon be that time of day once more, nightfall, the time when the lone lion felt comfortable enough to leave the sanctuary of his cave and move about in the world. It wasn't there there was anything particularly terrible about being around during the day, it was just the fact that if he ever did go out when the sun was out he instantly became a walking target for stares and comments. That alone was enough to push Hadiya towards being a stalker in the night.
As the daylight started to fade, the large lion carefully crept out of his sanctuary and slipped out in to the savanna. Sometimes it was hard enough for a normal sized lion to creep around and lay low, but for someone like Hadiya, whom stood 2 or so feet taller than the average male, it was a nightmare.
"I might as well just learn how to scavenge like a vulture..."
Scuffing, the large male continued to creep along. Maybe this night wouldn't be as irritating as most others. Maybe.

Fairuza was skulking in the tall grass. She was a great skulker. Being bright turquoise wasn't necessarily the best color for hunting, but she'd managed so far. In fact she was about to manage again, one of those gazelle was dozing away whilst the herd had drifted off a little further afield. With a well aimed leap she brought it down and killed it swiftly. Dinner was served.
She was busy terring at the thigh of the gazelle when she smelled another lion, male at that. Ugh, she hoped he was polite and didn't try to steal her hard won meal.
