The screen fades in, overlooking the busy streets of a city from a building. The sound of someone walking could be heard behind the camera, as it backed up to show the ledge of the building. A figure walked into the scene, but all that could be seen was the bottom of its trench coat. It placed one boot up on the ledge, leaning over to look down at the streets as the camera zoomed out to show more of the figure.
"The streets of Philadelphia... Oh, how I've missed thee... It's been such a long time since I've been back home... Have you all missed me aswell? I know I've abandoned you... But I'm home now..."
The figure was clearly a man, from the deepness of his voice. He let out a long sigh, before continuing.
"You see... These streets used to be mine... I was the king of Philadelphia... Born and raised in the alleys, I took down everything that came my way... To some, I was merely a street punk... To others, I was THE Punk... But to all, I was known as a God..."
The camera now zoomed out more, to show a giant of a man, wearing a black trench coat and a black pair of aviators. His hair was black and red, and half of it hung in the way of his aviators. He continued to look down at the streets, as if the camera wasn't there.
"I was a God... I was unbeatable... I was feared... I was respected... I was the measuring pole of a man's character. If you weren't stronger, faster, smarter, and better than me... You were nothing... But, you see... I have fallen... I have fallen from the Gods! I am no longer the God I used to be... But now that I have fallen... I see my errors, my downfalls... How foolish, and arrogant I was... I see how others beat me... And I see their downfalls aswell. For now, I see more clearly... I see everything... I hear everything... I sense everything..."
The man paused once again, and looked up to the sky. He pointed, with a gloved hand, up to the sky, motioning to the stars.
"All the stars in the sky... Do you see how bright they are? How they show off their light to the world?... They think they're the only ones in the sky... But they don't see what's behind them... They don't see their greatest threat... They can't see the black stars, circling them... Waiting for their chance to strike... To put out the light that brightens THEIR sky!... To put out the ones that try to show off their light! Because all their light is, is a nusiance!... They brighten the sky, that desires to be so black... So, the black stars do what they must... They put out the light of those who do not deserve to have it. The black stars are the strongest, fastest, and most deadly... And I have learned their ways... I pray upon the black stars... I wish upon them... I am one of them..."
The man looked at the camera, and an all-too familiar smirk crossed his face... One that all fans would be able to tell from the rest. It was cruel, it was confident...
"The man I used to be, is dead... For you see... I used to be... The God of Punks. I was the man that destroyed everything in his path. I was the man that went after every title he could... I was the man that lost it all. Now, that I have fallen from the graces... I am a God no longer. But that'sokay... Because now I am better than a God."
The man stood to his full height, and looked down at the camera.
"I am Matt Shanahan... And I am The Black Star. I am the biggest threat ASaR will ever see... Or not see, if you will... Because I will strike when it's least expected. And I will not fail like before... I will only extinguish every bright star in ASaR... Until the sky is black once again! This is my mission... This is my vow! I am The Black Star, and I will put out every star in ASaR!"
With that, the new Matt kicked the camera, breaking the video of the feed. He could be heard laughing, followed by the saying of a prayer...
"Oh, black stars in the sky... Lend me your strength on this night... Let the skies blacken... For all lights must end..."
