It was a nice night. A night with a star filled sky. A night with a moon that shone brightly against the dark sky. There was a little bit of clouds, glowing lightly from the brightness, but other than that, it was dark and peaceful. Owls seemed to screech from around the large meadow with tall grasses. The bits of flowers that rose up here or there made for a great coloration. Everything was practically perfect in the small meadow.
And in the midst of it, laid a small foal, her body curled in a ball. Her family was off doing many things, flying, talking, having a fun time. She loved them dearly, little Bellezza did, but she did not want to pester her siblings and father when they wished to fly. Her mother was watching them, seemingly very worried for the small foals that were up in the sky. Little Belleza didn't have to worry about that, her lack of wings kept her grounded.
So she had wondered away, not very far, just a little bit to where she would still be seen if they needed her. But for now, she just laid, watching the sky curiously, her little ears flickering at every noise. Her body shifting every couple of minutes, tail wiggling. She was a good little filly. For now, she'd just sit, and watch, possibly go for a stroll, if she got too bored. But she wouldn't leave her parents' side too far.

It was so good to be coming back home. While the doubts and fears still plagued her with each footstep back into familiar territory, she hoped what she had learned with her mentor, who was tagging along as her own ease, would be enough to finally heal from her past. The pale mare was looking around at her surroundings, as if letting it all sink back into memory. It was a nice night.
At first she didn't notice the little filly laying down among tall grass, but thanks to the moon's light, she could make out the shape before she got too close to trod upon the poor dear. Vidia remembered how she didn't wander too far away from her own family, so glanced about in the distance until she noticed a mare who seemed focus on the sky above.
She looked up, barely seeing the shapes that were soaring in the sky. But she was used to watching the skies for her own family, though she was a year out of practice.
Her focus went back to the filly near her. "Pleasant evening, little one. It's a nice night with family, isn't it?"

Bellezza continued to quietly watch, her ears flickering randomly, white hair falling once more into her eyes. She almost pouted, before moving to lay her head back upon the ground, only to jump slightly, startled by the sudden voice. Her head snapped up and toward the mare, staring quietly, before her ears flickered up, and then back against her head. She shifted slightly, before tilting her head and nodded a bit.
"Yes... but mommy and daddy are busy with my brother and sister... So I'm waiting." She said, her eyes flickering quietly toward her again. She slowly started to stand, her body shifting, before she stabled herself, and peered up at the mare, eyes very curious. She tilted her head, eying her with curios filled eyes, not sure what she was supposed to say to the elder female.

She couldn't help but feel a bit entertained when the filly jumped. "I didn't mean to frighten you from such deep thought," she apologized. Though she understood what it was like to be lost in that state quite well.
"Waiting is no fun," she said with a flick of her tail as she lowered her head to be even with the little one. "My name's Vidia. What's your name?"

Bellezza glanced back toward her family, staring for several seconds. She blinked, her ears flickering back to her head, before she shifted and looked back up. Her eyes flickered for a second, before she smiled some and nodded her head to accept the apology, not really minding the fact at all. She was easily jumpy when alone, in all honesty. Her ears flicked up again, before she took a small step back to see the female better.
"Yeah... I don't like waiting, but I'll do it cause I love my family.." She said, nodding her head, which caused the white of her mane to flicker several times over her face and neck. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Vidia. I'm Bellezza." She said, with a small bow of her head.

"Bellezza, what a pretty name," she said with honesty. She watched the little filly carefully. Yes, it seemed her past was looking back at her in the present. "You know, I used to do the same thing. Wait on my father and older sister to come back down from the skies."
She glanced around like she was going to tell a secret with a playful grin. "I used to be pretty jealous that I couldn't fly too." She finally lifted her head up, giving an affirmative nod. "It's true. My mother, one younger sister, and myself are grounded while my father and three other sisters can fly. Didn't mean I loved them less, but it just doesn't seem fair sometimes, right?"

Bellezza blinked, staring up toward her quietly, before her eyes flickered quietly toward her family in the skies again. She blinked for a few seconds, before shifting to look back at the taller female. Her tail flicked some, before she blinked and slowly nodding her head, her body wiggling, as if to mimic the motion of flying, before she put her hoofs firmly against the ground.
"Thank you! I love my name.. Mama says it means beauty." She said, smiling gently. "Really? My mama likes spending time with me... but she's making sure that my siblings are okay. But I don't mind... they can go fly, and I'll learn about stuff down here!" There was a small hint of resentment, of wanting to actually fly. Maybe at some point she could ask her father to take her up, even just for a few minutes.

She felt the tug of a memory looking down at the filly, the same old feelings that seemed tied to this land that she hadn't felt while away. She wondered if she would ever get passed that feeling, the feeling that her father held her winged sisters in a higher regard. While she knew as an adult that he didn't, the young filly in her heart wanted that reassurance--needed that reassurance.
"What sort of stuff do you want to learn down here," she asked. It hadn't been something she had thought of at that age. No no, it was well after adulthood that becoming a medicine horse would make her life feel more complete than the dream of flight and love.

Bellezza blinked and tilted her head some, staring up toward the female. Her little ears flickered, before she looked around, and then up toward where her siblings were in the distance. She wiggled her tail somewhat before leaning and sniffing at the grass, trying to think.
"I... I'll learn about trees... and stuff." She said, looking back up toward the female, eyes soft.
