Maia had been lucky thus far, since she come back from Maia her spirits raised to a point, her goal normality, her patrols seemed to cooperate. Outside two youma encounters which lead to interesting discoveries, she'd had it pretty easy. Even her encounter with a corrupted senshi had gone over without a fight. She had to say she was pleased.

Tonight though she patrolled the park, a place that seemed not to hold any luck for Maia. She had loved the park before, but not now and only for Eamon's sake did she venture into in daylight hours. In the night she tried to avoid it, but tonight was her night, her area. She huffed feeling irritated and ventured further in.

Her annoyance further blossomed at the energy she felt, it was dark which meant it wasn't a senshi and it was too strong to be a youma.

She stopped tempted, so very tempted to head in the other direction, but she shook her head. She need to check it out, the guilt of finding out someone died in the park that night while she ran the other way would be too much. Not only that, if she could sense the other, they could sense her too.

Maia headed forward in the direction of the negaverse hoping nothing was wrong.

He noticed the signature. Felt it chill his center, and he also knew it was not a rookie approaching. Spending a moment, he wondered if he should go home right here and now. The very idea of running wasn't appealing. The idea of living was. The heaviness of being a coward was too abrasive. Run. Go home. There is a warm bed there. You're body is weak.

He looked at his injured hand, still in finger splints. Broken, maybe forever. Hopefully not lost.

Not just your body. How could you run. Kill them. Every last one. This is why no one remembers you.

Pocketing the cash in his shirt, he turned and summoned his weapon.

They could kill you.

He had always thought that. Mortality was a frightening thing. The world was darker now.

They could take you again.

He breathed deep, stepping over the young man who had been cutting through the park. Wolframite stomped out his cigarette with his heel before moving towards the signature that seemed to be coming to him.

Then again, what do you have to loose now? They took it all.

He summoned his weapon into his good hand. Good hand. Good eye. None of this is good. None of me is good. They made me bad. He stepped out, slowly, cautiously closer.

Maia frowned as the energy moved toward her and every inch of her being screamed at her to run in the opposite direction. It was like her body knew what approached her or rather who. The hand, that hand that had its fingers wrapped around her starseed at one point.

She moved more slowly wanting to run, but knowing she couldn't. It was too late now. She could see him now. Wolframite ... Maia stopped dead in her tracks looking at the negaverse captain. The same she considered a rival, the same her team had capture, the same they had tortured.

In the moment she was locked up her nightmare surging forward, the feeling of being something wrong, something evil. She had helped bring him in, helped plan the attack, so to speak. She was an enabler, one that had led to such bad things.

She wanted to shout, scream, run, apologize, but she couldn't. She was frozen and a nightmare worse than the one that plagued her approached. He could kill her, so why couldn't she run.

They approached, step by step, pulled as it were by duty and curiosity, before Wolframite froze just as she had. He looked, questioning his own handicapped sight, the lack of lighting at night that sometimes caused shadows, dark and unwanted, all around. She wasn’t a monster. She was a monster. He saw her before. Not in his cell but around it, passing by, but there. She had been there. That face. A strange that, given time, might have killed him. Might have cut him. Her association to them brought together the whole package of who they were, and eyes wide, he stepped back, clutching his chest as he looked about. Where were they? How many? He didn’t see them? Didn’t feel them, but they had been invisible before. They could be here. They could be all around.

“What do you want?!” He shouted, calling all around, but glancing more and more as he turned about to focus on Maia, the one that was visible. Solid. “You’re coming for me? Again? Again?!” His voice was high pitched and frantic as he stepped back, watching her but letting his eyes dark to the side at any sight of movement. “You’ve come to kill me.”

Maia feet were still frozen and place, but her hands went up to her face of there own accord to guard the tears that threatened to fall as he reminded her of there sin, her sin. She shook her head frantically and finally managed to take a step back.

"I did not want to hurt you," she managed her voice shaky with fear. "I do not want to hurt anyone."

She took another step back, it was slow and deliberate, she wanted to bolt, she did not want to be in the situation right now, she couldn't handle it. She wanted her body to cooperate, but it seemed a useless fight. It was taking much effort to even move back.

"It was wrong, it was wrong, it was wrong," was the only thing she could say, as if trying to wish him away as if he were just a bad dream.
PostPosted: Sun May 08, 2011 10:54 pm

Her words were lies. He had seen her there. Even if she didn’t want to be there, even if she said it was wrong, she was there. She was one of them. She helped. She was just as much a murderer. Just because she hadn’t been in his cell for a visit, she could have been in someone else’s cell, causing them pain. Tearing them to pieces. Causing those screams that woke him up at night.

Wait. She said she didn’t want to hurt him. Had she? Did he just loose track? He remembered her face but not in his cell. Was she in his cell? Maybe in-between the fire and the fists. The many punches in the dark. She could have been. Maybe. It was all so hard to remember. I don’t want to remember. Stop trying!

Frantic, he continued to look around. He didn’t feel any signatures, but who was to say there would be more. But she’s here. One of them. After all they had done to you. To them. To everyone. She’s here. This one. His eyes focused suddenly at her, tearing away from looking at a suspicious plastic bag that was floating beside a nearby bush. SHE was one of THEM and she was HERE. The panic that they might suddenly spring out of nowhere again and drag him back to hell was still there, but now he was set on her. If he had a hostage or maybe just her starseed…..her heart even.

“You deserve to die!” He ran at her, straight at her, and went to kick her to the ground.

He seemed just as terrified and confused as she was and then he no longer seemed that way as he charged at her. Maia, of course turned to run, there was no time for an attack to slow the angered agent. Her action was however to slow and his heel connected with the back sending her face first toward the ground.

She groaned as she hit the ground hard and tried to pick herself back up again. Her back stung and Wolframite was still there, with every attention to kill her.

She was a fool to come into the park again alone, Scylla had warned her and had she listened, no for the most part she had not. She no longer patrolled alone very often, but tonight was an exception and it seemed she would pay for it.

Something in the back of her head told her she needed to get up and fight, but a much louder voice told her she deserved the punishment Wolframite would heap upon her. It told her to run, but mocked her saying she couldn't possible escape his ire.

She fell, and he made no motion to stop. He continued with his stride, and while she was down, moved alongside her body. You hit when they were down and you kept them down. Being on the ground was the worst, but he had no intention just yet to take her starseed. Despite what she might have said or felt, there was one fact to Wolframite. She was one of Them, and as such, deserved only hell.

He whipped his leg out, throwing his heel into her side. "You should be dead!" He kicked once more, using all the force of his hips to send his heel striking into her side. "You should all be dead!" Another kick. "You all deserve to rot in hell!" Part of his wished he could kick and punch at the same time, or that there was some gasoline he could use to dump over her body and set her into a burning ball of flames.

((*Permission given for kicking))

Maia gave a sharp intake of breath at the first kick. It hurt so much it left her open mouthed and breathless, even as the second kick connecting and Maia who'd managed to get onto her knees found herself clutching her side, face too the ground.

Hot tears escaped and as the third kick connected with her side and fingers alike. Pain blossomed in her now swollen digits, bruised, but not broken she did not think. How could she think when her side was a light with pain and she to just curl up and lay there.

She couldn't do that, she knew that all to well as she rolled away from the maddened Wolframite, hoping the quick and painful action would distance them enough for her to at least stand. It was just enough distance and she quickly clamored to her feet wincing at the action that caused her more pain. She took a stance ready to attack, "I don't deserve to die I have done you know wrong, despite you trying to steal my starseed," she shouted a quarter truth, she had helped with the plans.

She moved but was close by. Too close for his weapon, but did he need it? The satisfaction of direct, physical contact, a heel to stomach, a sole to rib, was too appealing than a minor toss of a chain. He wanted bones to break under his hands, organs to compress and then rupture like water balloons, and to leave a bloody mess that he could leave, hands messy like a child finished with gorey finger paints. He didn't want this to be clean.

Face to face, he glared at her, taking a moment to catch his breath. "YOU DESERVE TO DIEE!" He stressed, pressing that one point to her. "YOU are one of THEM. THEY captured us. THEY tore us apart. THEY killed us. THEY deserve to die, and you helped them. I saw you there. I SAW YOU!" He pointed a accusing finger at her. He might not have seen her point a knife at anyone's throat, or curled a fist to strike, but she had been there. "You had to have heard the screaming. Seen the blood drain out. You were there!" That was her crime, and he was here to see that she would pay.

His one good hand turning into a fist, he raced over to throw a punch.

Maia shook in her stance as the words were thrown at her. She had been there and she had heard the screaming, but she could have done nothing to stop them. She was a cadet, not really suppose to enter the rooms, but they were stretched and she had shifts to watch just as everyone else. The guilt that lay in the pit of her stomach for weeks, blossomed and bloomed making her shake, tears prickling her eyes as she tried to hold them back.

"I ...," she could really think of anything to say to defend herself, all she knew is that she did not deserve to die, "... I don't deserve to die. I never wanted that, I did not know it would be like that." Her words were feeble, probably unheard by the angry Wolframite.

He ran at her fist balled and she tense, "Sweet Harmony," she called out in a shaky voice, starting to sing as quickly as the song filled her. The notes popped into existence around her, but it matter not as the fist connected with her stomach effectively cutting of her song with a gasp. The notes hanging in the air for a moment before popping out of existence.

Maia eyes were wide as she stumbled forward.

For her to even think of attacking only angered him more. She wanted to hurt him, and that meant she wanted to kill him. There was no truth to her words and even if there was a feeling that she didn't want to have been there, she had been. She didn't leave, and she didn't help. Then again, why would she? She was a senshi, one of them, and she would continue to be a threat against his side, his people, his family, his friends, his boyfriend, and to him. They would care them all into pieces if they could, and had to a few.

His fist hit home, and a idle thought that he was even touching a girl's stomach brushed past him in some vague memory of what his adolescence could have been. If this was some other time and place, he would be sitting on a park bench in the park, not fighting here, and if he was touching a girl's stomach, it would be in a far more intimate way. In the past, he would have never thought of hitting a girl here, and looking down, found that he didn't feel all that bad. He tried it again, testing this, and saw that he didn't mind at all. He smiled at the music notes popped, her little bird song caught in her throat.

Reaching over, he grabbed her short hair and pulled up. "My friends didn't deserve to die, but you didn't care about that. You let them starve and then let them bleed. You think they wanted that?"

Tugging, he lined her up and then hiked his knee up, slamming it into her gut. "You want me to die! You want all of us to die. It's why you're out here." It was why they wore a uniform and came out at night like diseased rats. "Say it! Say you want me to die!"

Maia had no idea Wolframite's thought train, her reeled in another direction as the tears threatened to spill over her cheeks. As she chocked on the precious air she was robbed of by the punch to her stomach. She wished she had never met Wolframite. She wished she had never been a part of the BMC devilish plan. She wished she had taken a stand against what had gone so wrong. She wished her guilt would go way.

She winced at the tight grip in her curls, as she was yanked up right making eye contact with Wolframite. She was clearly terrified, would that fuel his fire, she hoped it wouldn't.

She gasped again as his knee connected with her stomach, drying heaving as she tried to catch her breath against the pain, she currently felt would never go way. He was shouting at her to speak, to say word she could never say.

"I don't want anyone to die. Not you or anybody. Please let me go," she shouted trying to push away from him, trying to wrench herself out of his grip. She needed to get away from him. She did not want to die today and she was scared. So scared tonight he would kill her.

"Asking for mercy?" He actually laughed. LAUGHED at that. It was too much, and he was surprised by the chuckle that came out. Peculiar. He never really laughed that much before, especially not when he was with a senshi. Then again, he never bothered to talk to senshi before. It was always business and he usually stuck to fighting and less on the actual banter.

Stopping himself from the laugh that was, quite frankly, making him uncomfortable, he jerked his leg up again. "Do you know many times I heard my teammates scream for mercy and now you want it from me? I'm sure you heard them. I HEARD THEM! All the damn time! Screaming out in pain. Where was your ******** mercy?!" He released her so let her drop.

Maia frowned as he laughed at her still trying to wrench herself from the smaller boys grip. It was easier said then done and it was tiring. She did not know how she kept managing to get into such trouble with Wolframite and she did not want to fight him, but she knew she had to get away.

She gasped as the knee contacted with her once more coughing and wishing he would just let her alone.

"Yes," she shouted, "I heard them and I still hear them. And it was wrong and I know that, but I couldn't help, you or them. Even if I helped, right here, right now, you would still try to kill me."

She was dazed for a moment when she hit the ground wondering at what had just happened. Was he going to let her go. She did not have time to think about it. Despite the pain in her abdomen, she attempted to scramble away from the crazed captain.
