Okay. So I learned tatting a few days ago, so I thought I would archive my progress... And show off. =D My tatting class is just under a week from now, so I hope to get even more information there.
EDIT: Class is far done with, and I'm still going. =3
EDIT #2: It's been over a year since I started this process! Amazing.

The flower is awesome! Keep posting pics & I'd love to learn hints from your class - maybe I'd be able to get one entire butterfly wing done then (instead of about half of one before giving up).

I picked needle tatting because of the classes being taught about it. Are shuttled really more difficult? A little bit - the (4 different) shuttles I tried on had kind of weird hooks, and it seemed to cause problems with the knots for me...I found it easier with the needle, so you could keep the knots on the needle till you were ready. With shuttles, you're just working with the thread and a hook...
