Everything is annoying to me lately, no matter who does what. Especially people who are close to me. I feel like I kinda went downhill 'cause of last month, then I started spending every waking hour on the computer to "comfort" myself, and that just had a worse effect on me. Like my mom would call me and I'd be like 'UGH WHAT' or other things, just everything would annoy me. I stopped doing what I had to do, and I'd just sit in front of the computer for hours. I kinda lost myself.
Leaving the house the last few days has been a great transition. I've silently been trying to be less annoyed, but yesterday my boyfriend pointed it out and I felt bad.
I don't know, do you guys get like this? I've just been trying to stay away from the computer as much as possible, or change what I do during the course of the day like I used to, instead of sitting in front of it for hours.

OH YEAH that's me. that's why i quit gaia initially, because even when my parents would call me for dinner i'd be like GADDAMNIT I'M JUST TRYING TO ******** RELAX !!!! that's why i don't let myself play video games very much anymore ;x
i think it's just because it's soo easy to get sucked into the computer that any kind of outside interference kinda sets off a snap inside. eventually a balance can be achieved, but you have to keep yourself more distant than active on the computer/gaia/whatever. once you're at 50/50 (outside/gaia), you're screwed.

Yeah I've been avoiding them computer a lot. And then being annoyed by how expected I am to be on it a lot (facebook, e-mails from professors and such).

I get annoyed if I'm interrupted doing something important to do something unimportant. Like being interrupted mid-flow writing a paper because my mum wants me to like her status on Facebook. Stupid inane s**t like that.
But if I'm just on Gaia and she asks me to come downstairs to help her move something, I'm more than happy to.
Also I disagree with buttcheeks on the 50/50 thing. I think you can have any ratio you want, as long as nothing gets neglected. For example, I know friends who spend 6 - 8 hours a day doing homework and studying, whereas I know that I can do just as well, if not better, with less than an hour; it sounds boastful but I think it's more just efficiency. I've never had an issue with this approach. It doesn't matter if you spend 10 minutes or 10 hours on the computer, as long as stuff gets done and your life is prioritised well. Everyone manages and chooses how to use their time differently. So I really don't think it's helpful to say you can't spend more than 50% of your time on the computer, because everyone's going to have different ways of spending their time.
