Hey everyone.
While chatting with TK Force, I requested to start one-on-one training, where I would (mentor) him in role playing, grammar and the like.
He agreed it was a good idea, hopefully with the enthusiasm I thought I caught in his response.
Not long after that chat, Saph made the training/tips subforum and I thought "Wonderful! This is the perfect opportunity!"
Here we are.
TK Force, in working with me you will have to expect a lot of constructive critisism. I will completely refrain from ranting and bashing. This doesn't mean I'll take all feeling from this training- logic should be accompanied by emotion, but there's certainly a line. If you- no, if anyone finds my posts taken over with emotion instead of rationalized thought, please private or instant message me. Either I'll agree and change my post, or explain and probably change my post anyway (I don't want my words taken the wrong way. Understanding and full-circle communication is crucial.)
Also, some of my posts will be longer than others. I do expect the entirety of a post to be looked over thoroughly, not just skimmed. (I spend a great deal of time on every post. I worked for 65 minutes on this one. I know, sounds a bit excessive, or obsessive, but I'm serious about these things. Can't be teaching someone about rping with bad grammar, can I? Huh.)
If you haven't noticed, I have acquired the habit of bolding in main points/important parts, especially when using paragraphs to explain rules, guidelines or any other kind of list. This does not mean you skip everything else- I'm just trying to make an easier read. If for some reason it doesn't help, tell me as soon as possible.
TK, if we have a lot of issues with longer replies, I may just scale down until you are comfortable with more paragraphs, more words, or whatever else might be the problem. Yup, the longer this goes on, the longer your posts will become. That's a fact of rp-life. (This may be the biggest post you see in this thread. I usually set up long introductions.)
Later on, Maho will be joining us. You probably should expect some harsher critisisms, but that is precisely why she will come later, not earlier. I will only let her post if I think you're to 'that point'. (We'll figure it out as we go along) With Maho- she is actually very rational in her explanations, but she tends to place a noticable amount of emotion in her chats, as you have experienced. The logic is definitely still there... you just aren't seeing it because of this fact. I insist, when she joins us in this thread, that you read what she has to say too. You may be surprised.
If anyone has requests with on what I should place focus, or main points I should cover, please PM me. :3 I welcome all comments and feedback on what is done here.
TK, are you ready? I'm set. mrgreen
