All self-trained or created skills must be requested to the school in order to notify them of your activity. If the school approves then you may train for your skill within the rp. However, the school automatically has rights to your skill idea and can choose whether or not to print it and release it in the library for the general public, so be aware. Follow these rules, and your skill will have a good chance of getting approved:
1. Read the rules.
2. If you contact me [Fenrir Graveheart] to approve your skill, then I will automatically deny your skill. Unless I haven't responded in 3 days, then you may contact me or a vice-captain.
3. Refrain from One-Hit-Wonders. Three skills max to a post and only two posts every week.
4. Keep away from skills that deal with teleportation, time control, auto-hits, and flying. Hovering is okay, but flying? No.

Limits: Inner Storm
Skill description: Utilizing the lightning of theInner Storm style, the user will coat the desired part of their body with electricity [i.e. Mouth, hands, etc...]. The user may use this skill to resuscitate people who have passed out.
Sample:
Elise was surprised when she saw a 15 year old boy get pushed against a tree. She knew that this island welcomed fighting, but she expected the park to be a place to relax. As she sat down to watch the out come of the fight, she the the 15 year old boy still getting his a** whopped, until he finally gave up, but hepassed out from the pain. The man who was sparring with the boy ran to him and tried to wake him up, but it was fruitless.
Elise stood up and walke toward the boy, she covered her hands with electricity and placed her and on the boys chest. As the electricity surged through the boys body, it finally followed the arteries to its roots: the heart. The boy woke up from the sudden jolt through his heart.

Skill description: It is said that the brain sends signals of electricity through out the body at all times. It keeps the body moving, and if this flow is sped up, the opponent will lose control of his own body movements. Everything would be inverted: If he tries to move his left arm, his right arm moves, etc. This even works with all of the joints in the body. Last for 5 post.
Sample: Elise sighed, once she got close to the man, she would just get her a** beat. The man was much better than her at martial arts, but if she could hold him off long enough for her to try one last thing on him, then she would surely win.
She dashed up to the man and began blcoking the several attack he threw at her, though there were times that she would get hit due to her inadequacy. But she still had enough time... She charged her hand with electricity and hit the man n the arm. Once she struck him, she jumped back into safety. She waited to see if there was any changes, but she could not tell because the man always stood still unless being attacked. To make sure, she took out her brass knuckles and thre it to the mans stomach. As the man tried to move right, he tripped over his legs in confussion. Elise smiled...it worked.

Limits: Staff Uppercut and Pole Thrust
Skill description: This combines the motions of a swing with a thrust allowing the user to thrust in the middle of a swing extending the range of an attack by up to a foot making narrow dodges into strikes. This technique is one designed for a naginata or spear but can still be effective with any staff weapon.
Sample: Yuri was panting roughly as he felt the drain on his stamina from fighting another staff fighter, they were evenly matched and his opponent Steve had a way of swaying just out of range from his swings before countering and forcing Yuri to become defensive. Yuri narrowed his eyes as he realized that his best be would be to finally use the Swallow in combat. He decided that an easily blocked overarm swing would be the best for that and suddenly spun towards Steve and swung his staff down towards him, this time however as Steve swayed backwards Yuri rotated from the hip and extended his shoulder fully before smiling in pleasure as Steve's head shot back and blood began flowing from a nose that might have been broken.

Skill description: User swings their staff to strike a small object and send it flying at an opponent. This can be done with either a sweep or thrust to surprise an opponent and create an opening.
Sample: Yuri shifted his weight back out of the way from the door just in time to avoid a chair being thrown through it. Biting his lip softly he held his temper in check even as a second chair followed the first. The last thing he wanted to do was allow himself to be held up by a childish tantrum and end up missing class. He was just about to lean around the door to see what was next when a handful of rocks were thrown from those he had left in his desk. With a whistle he took his staff and swung it quickly at the nearest rock sending it popping up into the air at what would be roughly groin height and was rewarded by a sharp gasp and a temporary halt to stuff being thrown through the door.

Skill description: User sends ki to their forehead allowing them to head butt an opponent without harming themselves as well. This does not actually strengthen the force of the head butt but prevents harm from it to the user making for a good surprise strike without risk of concussing yourself.
Sample: Yuri gritted his teeth as he had a knee pushed against his right arm to pin his staff while his left was restrained by another hand and his opponent sat on his chest. It was maddening, to be pinned and mounted by a man was not something he would ever allow and focusing his energy he built up a layer of ki on his forehead so that when an elbow sought his throat he was prepared and snapped his head forward into Steve's mouth drawing blood while luckily avoiding a gash to his head thanks to the ki.

neural shock- this kind of skill already exists in the style. I think it's called something like the Electro-system rewrite.

Limits: Must have at least one ki technique.
Skill description: This allows the user to store ki in an object or limb for a technique but not trigger it immediately. This must be used at the same time as the ki skill and it's cost paid each turn until the ki technique is released. The stored technique is released simply by not sustaining this technique making no delay in it's activation save thought.
Sample: Yuri stared at Ivy, her whip sword was causing him trouble as it was one of the few weapons with a better range than his staff and she was quite skilled with it. Narrowing his eyes Yuri decided that the best bet for beating her was to use the Power Slam but the rapid attacks of Ivy were combined with fair agility. What he really needed was to fake her out and as such he focused ki into his staff but used the Delay technique to stabilize it as he dashed forward rolling under a horizontal slash that took some of his hair off he slammed the end of the staff down between them as he came to his feet. Ivy however was jumping backwards even as he used the staff against the ground to pole vault past her so that as they landed he released the power slam directly behind her sending a shock wave that could possibly break her bones but would definitely do damage to her.

Limits: 5 Deadly Poison Style Stage 2 or higher
Skill description: Taking a deep breath and infusing his ki the user draws particles of the poisons they've ingested to their lungs and exhales a purplish smoke that stings the eyes and nose of those that pass through it causing uncontrollable sneezing and tearing. Those effected by this have the rank of their attacks reduced by 1 due to the sneezing and tearing reducing accuracy and disrupting their breathing and timing. This lasts for one turn on those of equal or higher level and 2 posts on those of lower levels. If used by someone beyond level 4 of the 5 Deadly venoms style it will cause blindness and/ or vomiting instead of tearing and coughing. Takes one post to prepare but can be disrupted by body blows.
Sample: Yuri dodged backwards to avoid a punch to the face as he constantly shifted backwards unable to stabilize his footing enough to counter with a spinning kick. However it was hard to fight a boxer for the first time and he knew the danger inherent in the punches. Exhaling suddenly he got an idea and took a deep breath before jumping backwards and focusing his ki as he continued moving back even as the boxer dashed at him. Yuri was having to block with his arms and left leg until the toxins were prepared and then he dashed forwards bast a punch and exhaled into his opponents face causing them to hack and cough violently causing the next punch to land with less strength making an opening for Yuri to spin and launch a kick at his head.

Skill description: Building on the principle of dulled edge this creates a sharp layer of ki over a dull or blunt weapon that makes it cut like a steak knife if it is naturally blunt or dull or a scalpel if it already has an edge. The ki for this technique must be maintained on each post it is used.
Sample: Yuri shifted to one side as the wise cracking smart a** taunted him. As he gritted his teeth and felt anger spread outwards he took a tighter grip on the stick he was holding. He had just started training in sword styles and was so far only learning the most basic of skills making a wooden sword impossible to kill with. Gritting his teeth he began sending his ki over the wooden sword as he envisioned it as a true sword with the ki forming a blade. With a snarl at a final comment his hand lashed out at the other man's neck though a casual hand was raised to stop it. With a smile he watched as the wooden sword removed two of the wise a**'s fingers before coming to a halt.

Breath out, Breath in, die- This needs a better name before I accept it.
Sharpen- Denied. I might add something like this to General skills in the future, but for now I can see it being easily abused. What about Death-hale? Also what about the other 3 I put up Sunday?

Hell's head butt- Accepted. Ah, what about Poison gasp? I was going on a play on exhale and decay doesn't flow for that but poison gasp instead of gas works for me. Swallow - Tough call since it could be in both, is there overlap between spear and staff considering they are the same weapons with different ends? I would think it could be in both styles but maybe need to be learned separately because of differences in weapon balance. Staff shot - D rank sounds fine, I'm still working on getting a feel for what makes each rank.

I usually go on a general understanding thats something like...
E= light injuries
D= bruises and possible knockouts
C= heavy damage, possible maiming is possible
B= heavier damage, death becomes a possibility in some cases
A= knock out/death
S= death
Poison gasp works for me.
Swallow- They do not overlap, but I could add this skill to both styles I think.

Skill description:
This is a step up from Water Gloves/Boots. The user focusing their ki, creating hardened blades of water from the gloves or boots they make. These blades can easily cut through flesh. The blades come straight out of the glove or boot, and are used in a punching fashion.
The blades can be broke by a direct hit of 1 rank above the user's rank.
The blades can last 5 posts on their own before they break.
