I had a feeling it was going to be 'bad' |
So I read it first and left a bunch of more one shot to read afterwards |

Was having a conversation with my friend this morning and she told me about a book she was reading and recommended it to me. The first thing I asked was what the ending was like and she said she won't tell me it if I would just not read it if I knew.
And I pretty explained that I prefer knowing the end to actually decide if I want to read it. Since I can get EXTREMELY emotional. Like last night when I was reading a bunch of oneshots and I came across one that was basically a guy woke up from a coma after 4 years and wanted to confess to the girl he liked. But she was with someone else, but they apparently made an agreement that it would last only until he wakes up but she fell in love with him so in the end the guy said that basically, he never ask her out to begin with and he didn't blame her for falling for someone else. And that made me burst into tears...And it was only like 20 pages. sweatdrop
I know that stories that makes you emotional and are unforgettable are good but I get way too emotional. So I would also read the endings and really finding out everything I can and then decide whether to watch/read it.
Which is why I do tend to avoid ones that are tragedy romance or if the couple I like keeps getting together and breaking up. Reading/watching those REALLY tires me. Even if it is good or the ending is happy, I find that sometimes, when I get too emotional in the middle that, even if the end is happy, I still feel.....er...Sad?
Which she said that I was strange. rofl I just told her that I think I am going insane. I really need to stop getting so emotional over some fictional characters.
Then again, I get emotional in generally anyways, like when I went to my friends baptism and some of them were giving their testimonies, I had to look away or try to not listen to them because I KNOW I will start crying and embarrass myself. It's really annoying that I cry so much though at least crying helps. Sometimes, I get so annoyed that I want to cry but it just doesn't happen.
Am I just strange? xd Or insane? (I think I'm insane. xp )

Strange? No.
In fact that's great ability, it's like being able to cry on command. Getting emotional during stories is not a strange thing. It only means the imagination you have has the ability to get into the story literally. It's like you put yourself in that position of losing a loved one or losing a loved one to another lover. You may not realize it when you're reading but more than likely you put yourself in that situation in the literal sense.
That's what I do when I read. I'm the main character. So I think about how I would feel in certain situations and begin to cry.

Glad some people think so.
All my family thinks I'm weird for crying during films and stuff. Which is why I always have to watch some films etc on my own when everyone's at school/work. =(
Which then I feel like I'm really going crazy because I end up laughing one minute to myself then the next thing, I'm crying and then getting angry and then shouting at the screen....And most commonly talking to myself. -Sigh- I need to find a friend that gets emotional too... rofl That way, we can both be insane xp

I don't think that you're strange at all or that habit is strange. (I get really emotional and have a mood disorder. It leads to me crying a lot over what most people consider "little things" or really just being affected by "little things", especially when I have to go without medication.) I get really emotional and emotionally invested in fictional characters, too. If you're interested, I suggest googling the concept "soul bonding"; it's related to this thread, I promise.
Strange thing about me? What isn't strange about me lol? I can't walk through a doorway without knocking on the door, even if the door is wide open.
