 Aella was bathing in the cool water, her heavy hair floating out behind her and feeling so lovely and light. She dipped deeper, shutting her eyes as she fell beneath the surface. The icy water tingled over her skin, and her hair floated out and around her and over her face, tickling her in some weird fashion. The water was reassuring. But it made her miss home in a way. Water had been a luxary, not something to be enjoyed like this. Not something to be soothe and relax in, but something to use sparingly, to the point of almost not at all. She remembered the way it dripped down her throat, soothing her as the heat became so hazy around her. The luxury of a drop of water...She would not forget that. Nor would she forget the pain, and the reassurance of a sun that always shined in the desert. It was certain, and now...nothing seemed certain.

 Kaitlyn has been traveling for a while now as she was look for a place that felt like home as there had been lots of good places none of them felt right and for the fact that she was trying to get away from a tormenting Kalona that had become a second shadow to taunt her every turn the Kalona could. But it had been a few day since Kaitlyn had heard that Kalona's voice and was glad for it. Seeing the water at a distance and Kaitlyn thought that it would be a good idea to get a good drink of water. But the closer she got to the water she saw another mare cooling off in the water and Kaitlyn found her very interesting with all that beautiful red hair. "I'm sorry if I'm interrupting your swim, but I just came for a drink," Kaitlyn said as she walked up to the edge of the water and took a drink as her familiar Sett stayed on her back just watching.

Aella's hair whipped around, her brown eyes looking in alarm at the newcomer. For a moment, her heart surged and then it slowed. She was okay, everything was okay....She assessed the mare, and she seemed friendly enough. "I'm sorry. Don't let me bother you. I just wanted to cool off."
She waded up out of the water, her hair dripping lightly at the ends. "I should have thought of the others that would drink her before I did that." Her warm coloured eyes watched the newcomer. "What brings you here?
Aella wasn't sure why she asked, but the mare looked....uneasy, tired.

"No its alright, I'm sorry for interupting your swim," Kaitlyn answered quickly as she didn't want to be a pain to the other since she was unfamiliar with this place. Kaitlyn bend her head down to have a good long drink and to be free of that kalona's voice and hoping that it wouldn't return.
"You didn't have to do that at all," she said in a rush and was slightly embarrased about it all. "You were here first," Kaitlyn said as she watched the other as she thought on her question. "For me to find a new place to call home away from a tormenting Kalona that has been following me for a while now," she replied and hope just sorta talking about it wouldn't bring the other here.
Only when Kaitlyn had gotten her drink and was talking with the other mare did Sett get off her back to get a drink of his own.

Aella looked behind the girl, and saw nothing coming. Followed by misfortunes....what a life to live. A life that she could relate to though. Misfortune had followed her, but in a different way. Not by a kalona, but by perpetual sadness. But in the end, did it really matter if your demons were visual or within?
"It's fine. Where I came from, it's rude to bathe in the water that others will need to drink. For a moment, I forgot my manners. Forgive me." She bowed her head lightly, "And please rest, don't go just yet."

Kaitlyn feeling a little better now that she had gotten her drink as she felt safe with this other mare as that kalona only bothered her the most when she was alone as the kalona never thought of Sett more than a snack than something the kalona would worry over.
"Oh I see, I really don't remember where I come from. I have wandered around for as long as I can remember," Kaitlyn said as all she truly wanted was to find a place to call hope and others to share it with. "No worries and I forgive you," she replied to the other mare with a warm smile. "You can go back to your swim if you want, I won't be going any where for a while as I need a good rest," Kaitlyn added as she was so tired from her hard and long run from the kalona that was tormenting her. "Where are my own manners, I'm Kaitlyn and my familar Sett," she said as he came back up from the waters edge and bowed to the other mare politely as then the crawled back up Kaityn's back and nested back into her mane.

Aella smiled lighlty, "I'm Aella. You've come very far, haven't you?"
Aella stepped back into the water with her front hooves. She was cooling her feet, it had always been a luxary back home in the desert to bathe. Anytime, she could then she did. After having to do without, she'd never passed up and opportunity to go in the water. She'd never learned to swim, at least not yet. But she loved to bathe and wade in the water.
"Can you not, escape her?" Was it the same everywhere? Whatever you ran from, could you not escape it? From the past, from memories, from others?
