General Info
Golems are the second-most celebrated discovery to come out of Dr. H's labs. With them, Hunters have been able to hold large, violent, extremely brutal testing sessions, without actually losing any lives in the process. They also enable Hunters to enter Halloween without exploding.*
-They are made up of dirt, powdered bone, a great deal of water, and FEAR. - Normal golems can last up to 7 days before breaking down. - Once a soul inhabits a golem, the soul will inhabit, animate, and control the golem. - The strengths and abilities of the soul are brought over the the golem.
Types
There are several types of Golems currently being used.
C-type: used for testing candidates. It shapes itself roughly to the proportions of the candidate, but doesn't hold enough FEAR to mould itself anything but the most vague facial features, and no hair, special body marks, eye colour, regular skin. Basically they look like rough clay people underneath the suits. Dr. H, does, however, make sure that they will bleed, feel pain, sweat, and explode into a fleshy mess when appropriate.
D-type: used for remote missions in the human world. Unless there are special circumstances involved, they look exactly like their user.
H-type: used in Halloween. These golems have been stashed away in several secret caches throughout Halloween, and can be inhabited remotely from the island. When inhabited, each H-type will shift to form a believable member of the zombie, demon, or monster race.** There is not guarantee as to what type of race or gender a Hunter will initially occupy. An H-type can only last the duration of one mission, and will crumble to dust once a soul is no longer present within it.
P-Type Golems: These are "princess" golems, they aren't terrifically durable or intelligent and are generally used for guard/defense simulations. They are controlled through a computer program rather than through another hunter. And interesting aspect of these golems is that their appearance can be that of any living hunter (not candidates, though.) Another interesting fact is that this is completely random. An even more interesting fact is that they always appear in a princess dress and hat. It is entirely possible that you may have to rescue Princess Caelius at some point. Or a princess version of any other hunter you know. The P-type golems often walk the line between amusing and just plain creepy. Princesses are also capable of speech and melodramatic reactions, but the labs have yet to make them anything approaching intelligent.
Z-type: the lab's testing golems. Its not unusual for trainees to wake up in these. But sometimes Dr. H will ask permission first.
Notes:
* Hunters physically entering Halloween actually last much longer than regular humans, but they still explode after a very short while. Veteran Hunters may last several hours, while trainees would get maybe a whole five minutes before their insides turn into outsides.
** Reapers are much too suspect at this point. This is one of several reasons as to why weapon summoning is prohibited while using an H-type golem. Ghosts are not available, as the labs have yet to create a proper ghost golem.
*** OOC: when entering Halloween, you will be told to generate a number 1-3 to determine your Hunter's current race. You can pick a subspecies (KEEP IT SIMPLE) and gender. This will be how your Hunter appears to everyone else in Halloween. Your character will keep this form for the duration of their mission. After that time, their golem will crumble, and you'll have to roll for a different one.

W TYPE GOLEMS:W-type Golems, also known as Weapon Respondent type golems are a new experimental creation from the Life Labs. At this point, they are in their preliminary alpha testing phase. They may only be used:
- When the Life Labs regularly asks for volunteers. In fact, just about anyone can log themselves into a W-type pod - a quick and temporary process - before they can check out with their weapon as a W-type golem. As this literally leaves the Hunter defenseless without a weapon, W-type golems are only allowed to be checked out for specific durations. A full test (for full Hunters) runs for three hours while a quick test (for all trainees) runs for one hour. - Since the Life Labs have realized they might have accidentally employed people to do something fun, they're only paying you $50/ hour tops. Take it or leave it bub. - Testing must be scheduled ahead of time. A W-type golem can only be rented once per IC week. W-type golems cannot leave Deus. They can interact with each other and the environment. - W-type golems, over than verbal cues, cannot assault or attack others, physically or through the use of Fear. They simply cannot channel Fear and will melt if they try to: whomever is responsible for the damage will have to pay from their own wallet* - W-type golems take the appearance that the weapon would have had prior to conversion.
**repair prices starting at USD $5000 OOC - This marks a general okay period for all players to rent out W type golems. Make sure you read the IC info above! You're allowed to rent one approx 1 IC week, and we like to keep IC and OOC time about the same, so approximate as you please. It can be rented: - 1 hour for trainees - 2 hours for intermediates - 3 hours for Hunters MAX. Update: After much study, W-type Golems are now able to house Horsemen weapons. The golem's appearance matches the Horsemen of origin. However, due to the chaotic nature of FEAR, Horsemen Weapons, and the complicated conversion process, they are available for LESS time. - 30 minutes for trainees - 1 hour for intermediates - 1 hour and 30 minutes for Hunters MAX.
