Several days had passed since the botched mission to the outpost that resulted in being trapped in a cave with Galactic, several cave-ins, being assaulted by rock-types, trapped and haunted by ghost-types, and finally escaping only to have all (but one of) their pokedexes explode. On them. Painfully. A small frown formed on the young woman's face as she absently reached down to gently run her fingers across hers. It had been worse than most, though admittedly it could've been a lot worse than it was, and she was thankful for that. But being stuck in her room for the past few days - barring her short trip to Camphoreon to purchase a TV and dvd player to avoid going stir-crazy - had caused her to grow rather restless, and understandably so. She was used to always being busy and doing things, be it working, swimming, training herself or her pokemon (or both), or anything. She was not used to just laying around in bed with an ice pack on her hip the whole day. So, she had decided, she would spend at least part of the day sitting on a windowsill in one of the quieter, less trafficked hallways to finish some paperwork she'd been meaning to do. She could've done it in her room, of course, but laying in bed doing stuff felt so... unproductive. At least she could sit on her opposite hip on the sill to avoid aggravating her burns.

Beneath the windowsill sat a fluffy light-colored Growlithe, who was currently play-wrestling with a curiously bright blue Eevee. Claire didn't seem to mind the amusing noises they made, as she continued on with the paperwork resting on her leg.

The excited barking from a Pokemon could be heard echoing from down the hall, and quickly padding paws.
shortly after a Shiny Zorua came skidding around the corner, sliding to a stop before she jumped, spinning around to face the hall she had just come from, bushy tail wagging and barking a few more times.

"Zorua, that's enough please, I know."
a female voice spoke in response, as gray boots caught up and paused in front of Zorua.
The dark blond agent was in a new uniform, and looking much more composed than she had the day during and after the mission.
With a data pad tucked under her arm, and Umbreon striding next to her, the two of them looking down at the very excited zorua.
"Don't run to far ahead, your going to trip someone, after the meeting we'll go train."
this seemed to excite the Zorua even more as she started jumping around.

Faleen grinned a little, shaking her head with a soft laugh, and turned to continue down the hall, only stopping when she saw a familiar agent sitting by one of the windows.
Tilting her head softly, the dark blond lowered her arm to her side, and walked over.
"Agent Clare," Faleen greeted. "How are your burns healing?"

The excited barking caught the attention of all three, and as the Zorua appeared from around the corner, both the Growlithe and Eevee immediately jumped up, the former of which quickly adopted a classic 'let's play!' stance and barked as well.

Claire watched for a few moments before Faleen walked over and offered the other agent a small cordial smile. "Agent Faleen," she nodded, then looked down at her hip with a displeased frown. "Alright, thankfully, but it's still frustrating." Why couldn't they have been in a different spot, like.. like... Somewhere else, somewhere that wasn't her hip and affected how she walked and therefore almost everything else. Anyway. "What about yours?" She asked as she returned her gaze to the other agent. "How badly were you hurt from the explosions?" She'd been too busy swearing at her own to really notice anyone else's.

The human that Master was approaching had two other pokemon with her. one of them pounced down into a play stance.
Zorua perked her ears curiously tilting her head with a couple of blinks, before trotting after Faleen, stepping into the much longer stride next to Umbreon.
A Sly little smirk spreading over her face as she approached the Eevee.

"I managed to avoid getting injured by the dex, though my uniform was ruined." she said, knowing she had been fairly lucky to avoid any burns.
"I can relate to your situation though, I hope you can return to active duty before to long" The agent offered.

As the other human and two pokemon approached, the Growlithe spun in an excited little circle. She asked in an excited tone, completely oblivious to the blue Eevee behind her who was attempting to jump and grab onto her tail that was wagging furiously. Needless to say, she wasn't having much luck.

"Oh, good," she said as her eyebrows raised slightly in surprise. Maybe she should clip the pokedex to her belt rather than putting it in her pocket from now on... Though she didn't expect Deimos to be tampering with it anytime soon anyway, so it didn't really matter in the end. "At least I have some paperwork to do, I can't stand sitting around not doing anything," she said with a sigh, peering down at the papers sitting on top of a hard-cover book. ..crap, now she didn't have anything else to say. Quick, uhh... "It was awesome how quickly you solved that riddle in the mine," she commented after a moment or two of quick thinking while idly tapping the end of her pen on the paper. "I doubt I would've gotten it at all."

Umbreon certainly didn't look the playful type. and when the Growlithe asked about playing, he simply gave the fire type a level glance, before shifting his red eyes up at the humans conversation.

Zorua, just continued to smirk, tail flicking around behind her She said, tilting her head up a little.

Faleen nodded slowly, glancing down to the paperwork that the other Agent had mentioned before looking back to the girl herself when she broguth up the riddle.
She blinked, keeping her face professional, though her cheeks blushed a little pink.
"Oh, Thank you." She said, feeling a little embarrassed suddenly, though grateful for the complement.
'I'm certain you would have been able to get it. any of us could have gotten it sooner than that Deimos anyway." She shook her head at this.
"Insightful event..."

The Umbreon was ignored since he didn't look like he wanted to play, but the excited Growlithe paused, her tail stopping briefly before it started again, and a small whine escaped her. Didn't everyone want to play? Well besides that Umbreon, but this Zorua looked like it wanted to, so why didn't it?

"No no," she said with a slight shake of her head. "Thank you. And no, I don't think I would've, at least not for quite a while." Then again, she had been sort of... preoccupied with other thoughts to really be of much use with mind-games. At the mention of Deimos in regards to the riddle, she rolled her eyes before focusing on the paperwork for a moment, to make sure she wouldn't forget where she was. "Yeah, he's just a helpless idiot with a knack for technology." A helpless idiot who almost couldn't keep his Team together because of a mutiny, and probably lost a significant number of members. Way to go, Deimos.

Zorua smirked, tilting her head up a little She snickered again, clearly having fun with this.

She blinked again, flushing a little redder as she lowered her gaze quietly for a moment, only to return it quickly when Claire continued to talk.
"So seems to be the general opinion." Faleen acknowledged. following with a soft sigh "Unfortunately the only strength he seems to have is a significant one."
She seemed to accept this much easier than she had in the cave, though her softly sagging demeanor showed she still carried disappointment about the fact that their work with the G-ball would not be going any farther... it wasn't a total loss, becasue of other information they got Agent Hayes and her were able to work out a solid theory from that technology, but a failure was a failure.

"I'm glad we were all able to take it out of there okay, though admittedly that was one of the more... awkward events we've been through."
Faleen had not been blind to the fact that Claire had seemed very uneasy during the time they were trapped in the cave.

Artemis seemed to grow more disappointed the longer this Zorua refrained from playing, and her slowly drooping tail was evidence of this. she half-whined, slowly waving her tail. Blue was still jumping around, swatting at it and trying to bite it. She still wasn't having much luck.

"Yeah," she sighed lightly as well, brows furrowing thoughtfully. "At least we know he's a helpless claustrophobic." With a permanent babysitter packing lethal weapons along with his sandwiches and logic puzzles. She noticed the slight sagging of the other agent's shoulders, but since she didn't know exactly why, she didn't comment. At the thought of everyone making it out of there okay - which also implied alive - she snorted lightly. "Ugh, tell me about it. And yeah, I'm glad too," though a hell of a lot more than Faleen knew. The conversation about the mission was making her think more about it, and even though it had been a while it still made her nervous, and the knuckle on one finger cracked in response to that nervousness.

The Zorua asked with a little toothy grin working along her lips.

"Yes, well." She shook her head softly, glad to be back in base anyway. Even if it hasn't been a very good week.
She signed softly, and glanced back up at her "We did learn some good things from then that day though, we would have never figured it out."
Even if she didn't really want to have found the answer.

With a huff, Artemis finally plopped her hindquarters down and flicked her ears back, giving the Zorua an upset look. She didn't like being messed with, especially because it was so easy to do. As soon as the Growlithe sat down, Blue immediately attached herself to the large fluffy tail with determined "vffrrr!" noises.

"Mm, like what?" She asked idly, violet eyes drifting over the papers on her lap once again before making a small mark on the top one by a specific section, then focused back on the other agent. "Besides about their behaviors. I didn't hear much of what Deimos was talking about," which was entirely true. Nevermind that she'd been too busy having a near emotional breakdown because of Tethys, but she'd at least been vaguely aware of the fact Faleen had spoken to Deimos and more than likely got some useful information out of him. She was actually interested in what this was.

Zorua lifted a brow with that she just turned her nose up and trotted back over to her team mate

Umbreon glanced down at Zorua with a frown, then over to the Growlithe with a still stare.

Faleen tilted her head at this, giving the other girl a slightly perplexed look, she had been there... had she not heard? Or perhaps, it was more likely she didn't understand. "He's managed to make, and properly utilize theoretical technology and science... He's leagues ahead of even what our labs are capable of doing." she gave a very serious look "Allow me to clarify however, this does not mean we are helpless."
She shook her head softly. then offered Claire a polite smile. "Do you recall him mentioning something called Zero-Point Energy back when he was working on the Dex?"

The Growlithe tilted her head, growing even more confused. you're the one that didn't want to play. Doesn't that make you no fun?> Or at least, that's what she thought. This Zorua was weird... Maybe she shouldn't bother trying to play with them anymore. Char was more fun anyway.

Despite the fact she wasn't all that surprised - Deimos' genius was well-known even here - she lifted her brows in a surprised expression nonetheless. "I see," she replied thoughtfully, tapping the end of the pen against the papers again. At length, she continued, "I hope we can manage to take that information and use it against him," though she had no idea how they'd do that. "Ah, I wasn't that close to you or him while he worked on them, so I didn't hear everything that was said," she explained, "but I do recall something like that, yes. What is it?"

She informed him with another soft "Hn"

She hopped up, her form spinning suddenly, before she dropped down on two legs, straightening up in the form of Faleen, the little bushy tail behind her twitching a couple of times before she turned to lean over her master's shoulder, curiously peering at the human she was talking to.

Faleen ignored this. tapping a finger on the tablet she was carrying with her.
"Zero-Point Energy is a theory... or at least it was, I could try and explain the theory, but it would be a lot of... time." She smiled, knowing that it probably wouldn't be understood anyway, and Claire would end up regretting that she asked.
"So far we're doing our best to work something out with the information we got... we've gotten some progress, though its nothing near what we were originally hoping for."
She shook her head softly, clearly bothered by this.
"... I noticed you kept quite a distance from the group... I hope I'm not prying, but you seemed particularly uncomfortable in that situation we were in." She held a gloved hand up.

For some reason, calling yourself fun made you seem... a lot less fun. Still, the transformation earned a simple head-tilt from the Growlithe, but she didn't see how turning into a human would be fun, so she simply shrugged in a dog-like manner before turning to pounce on Blue with an excited "awr!" This elicited a surprised squeal from the Eevee before the two promptly began play-wrestling and making all sorts of noises.

"Ah, I see," she replied as her mouth twitched into a small smile. "I'm sure you have much better things to do than try to explain complex theories like that to me, I'm not good with that sort of thing anyway." In other words, she wouldn't understand it at all.

She peered over the edge to look down at the two playful pokemon as Faleen spoke her next question, her expression neutral as she thought of a good way to respond. "Well, I was a bit uncomfortable in that situation. I hope I wasn't the only one bothered by being trapped with the enemy in an abandoned mine that threatened to cave in on us every five minutes."
