Maia sat on the rooftop of a building resting her feet. It was almost time for her to start thinking about heading home, but for the moment she took her time enjoying the night time. It was lovely out and you could see the stars. It made her wonder how things were on Maia and miss the tree which sang such sweet tunes.
She stood after a few moment, just on the ledge, glad no one was around, fore it looked like she would jump at any moment. Oh that would be a mess and she would have to run for it. At least roof jumping was a part of being a senshi.
Climbing down off the ledge she took a few steps back, before running forward and leaping to the next building. She landed with a grin on her face, having to admit, she did not mind the roof jumping. No it was actually kind of fun.

Alunite hadn't even dared think about roof-top jumping yet. Fluorite was out gathering energy, and he'd more or less tagged along - far enough so that his aura didn't bring senshi right to them, but close enough that he could use his power and dart off toward her for assistance if need be.
He knew his sister was conflicted in between letting him gain experience on his own, and pretty much wrapping him in bubble-wrap - he was glad she'd been mostly the former. The Negaverse needed skilled senshi, strong senshi - he would learn none of those things if he was kept overprotected.
It was a risk, but did they not all take risks ?
He wasn't looking to cause trouble, simply to get used to his fuku. The leggings were annoying. The skirt was annoying. The hair was annoyed. He'd tried to take scissors to it - nothing worked. It was like the damn hair was mocking him.
It was a small wonder he hadn't tripped in it yet.

It was a few more hops before Maia noticed the other's aura and frowned slightly. Her encounters with corrupted always left her mad or confused and the weird energy had her thinking she was dealing with a corrupted, although she knew it could be a negaverser.
She sighed stopping and looking around trying to see if she could spot the other, but even with the light she found she couldn't. Was the corrupted even on the roof, it was very possible they were or the ground. She looked around again though, not really wanting to jump down, it was also possible the other was just hidden from view.
Frowning as she saw nothing she hoped to the next roof bringing her close to the energy. She bet the other could probably feel her now as well.

Just as he became a blip on Maia's mental radar, so she became to him. The feeling made him frown, having only a very basic knowledge of auras, but he realized very quickly what it was.
It felt nothing like Fluorite. Therefore, the logical deduction was that this was the opposite. A senshi.
Alunite's body tensed, ready to run if need be. Was he ready for a senshi ? Probably not. But most importantly.... Where was she ?
He kept his magic words close to mind, and slid into something that could be considered a battle stance - it was directly ripped off an anime, and probably laughable in it's uselessness in the real world.
If he'd realized the aura he was feeling was a super senshi, he would have ran away already.

Maia almost ran past him, as he was just out of her view, but she stopped abruptly seeing him and turned. She just stood their for a second looking him over, he looked like he was ready to fight, but he stance was ... she cocked her head to the side.
"So you are the one I was sensing, huh," she said not really knowing what else to say and not really wanting to start a fight. No if she wasn't going to attack neither was she. He really did not seem to be doing anything out of ordinary anyway.
She looked up to the night sky again and wondered if he was soon to be done for the night as well, but did not voice the question as her eyes wondered back down to his face.

There she was. A female voice that caught his attention. Red hair, wearing a nearly-blinding amount of white. He didn't let go of his stance, as laughable as it was, but he also wasn't moving to attack her either.
Alunite was quite certain that if he tried to pick a fight, this was going to end badly. For him, that is. She wasn't moving. He wasn't moving.
They could be there all night. "I guess." He answered.

Maia nearly laughed at his attitude and decided to put him out of his misery. "I am not going to attack you, so long as you don't attack me, so you can loose the stance."
Maia loosened up, but kept her eyes on him, well more on his stance, she just couldn't get over it and she had to say something. "You probably shouldn't stand like that either, you look as though you have never done this before." Did she just give advice to a corrupted, yes she had, but really the stance was to much for her and unlike anything she had seen.
As a ballerina, she knew about balance and placement, good enough anyway. She was no martial artist afterall.

Not going to attack ? Alunite wouldn't have bet on that, through... wouldn't she had already done so if she'd wanted to ? And... was she making fun of him ?!
He did let go, though, but he remained tense and ready. Something dark purple flashed in the hole in his chest as he moved - his starseed. The slightest hint of her attacking and he was getting the hell out of here. And he wasn't about to admit that he had, indeed, never done this before.
"What do you want, through... ?" If she wasn't attacking, and yet she was here, she must have wanted something, right ? This screamed of trap, which was exactly why he wasn't relaxing at all.

Maia shrugged at the question, she felt his energy and she was near so she came. She had to make sure he wasn't doing any dastardly deeds, but it seemed that no indeed he wasn't.
"I was just making sure you were not up to know good, apparently, it is my job to stop you. You, however, do not seem to be getting into any sticky situation. I did not want to fight anyway, not really." It was a half lie. Maia did not want to fight at all, anyone or anything, only saving another could spare her into action really, otherwise she was avoiding battle, avoiding the other side, just avoiding in general. Was she a coward, no, but she was scared and confused.
'What are you up to by the way? You do not seem to be doing anything, I mean surely you have a task?" She looked around with a frown on her face, trying to feel for another signature, but did not find one.

Dastardly deed ? Coming from a girl on whose's side tortured people, some to the death ? "Well, you senshi would know a dastardly deed when you saw one, wouldn't you ?" He shrugged, looking more non-committal than anything else. It was good that he had no idea was part of the one thing he had been expressed warned against - the blood moon count.
"I don't have a task, no." Technically that was the truth. He had no task safe for practicing his magic and getting used to his fuku and his god damn amount of hair. He certainly wasn't stupid enough to tell her that. Non-aggressive didn't mean they weren't enemies.
Neither was he stupid enough to tell her that his handler was only a block of so away, just barely out of feeling range - a good scream would be all that would be needed for Fluorite to rush at his side. "It's a lovely evening. Fresh air and all that." He waved his hand in a dismissive motion.
They were both senshi, and yet were enemies. A contradiction, in a way. He couldn't help but be curious of the other side - of what he had only been a non-negaverse cat away from becoming. He would never know that life, he would never know the name of his star, and yet he didn't feel too upset about it. A dead hunk in space was of no importance - earth was. And earth would be saved, no matter the cost.

Maia frowned when he said what she had been thinking, but shrugged it off as coincidence, however the question was not shrugged off and she had to take offense to it, fore she currently wasn't thinking about what the Blood Moon Court had done.
"I do not commit dastardly deeds," she hissed, "I protect people and make sure their starseeds stay where they belong. It seems for you it is too late. I am still unsure if uncorruption is possible." She knew nothing of the whole Linarite business and her two memories of Audrey were now of Daphne.
She moved toward him her body language was still unthreatening, but she was slow and cautious not knowing how close he would allow her to come or how close she wanted to get. He statement about the evening went ignored for the moment as she approached him.

The s**t was she talking about ? Stealing starseeds ? He'd been told this was a last resort thing. Unless it was a senshi. A senshi starseed was a rare prize. Energy was a different thing - more easily harvested, and the 'victim' woke up after a few hours.
He still didn't make the link with that and his strange awakening in his apartment. He tried not to think about that anymore.
Uncorruption ? Was it what they called it ? Corruption ? Of course, they would give something disadvantageous to them such a crude term. "I fight willingly for the earth and the negaverse. Nothing will change that."
Maia moved, and Alunite reacted - one arm went up, thankfully in a much less silly manner, and after a few of her steps, he started taking steps back.

When he said he fought willing for the negaverse she was confused and wondered if it was the corruption speaking for him. She of course did not know how it worked so it made her more curious than she had previously been. Willing? How could he say that, he was a senshi, this was forced it had to be?
When he started backing away she stopped, and looked him over, "You are a timid one. You say you fight for them willing, how is that and why? Quite frankly I am still uncertain as to what they are fighting for, but I do know when I was awakened they were killing left and right. So many peopled died and for what?"
She was looking him over once more, the hair, the fuku, it made her wonder what he would looking like if he wasn't tainted. Her mind reeled at all the questions that flew by, one she even voiced though he probably wouldn't know what she referred to. "What is it like," she asked without realizing she had spoken?

He did stop, when she stopped in turn, though he remained cautious. She seemed so... odd, confused. Was it a senshi thing ? Would it have been his fate, if...
He didn't want to think about it.
"If you believe caution makes me timid." He shrugged. She was on the other side, one of those senshi fighting for the invasion of the earth. Did she expect him to just trust her ? He wasn't that stupid.
She asked what it was like, and to be honest, he didn't even have a real answer for her. "I have never killed anyone. Neither has my partner." That was the truth. He had no desire to harm a civilian. They were uninvolved. Fluorite had told him she had never killed anyone, either.
"I do not belong here." He said. "Neither do you, and no other senshi do... And yet they took me in. Accepted me, in spite of everything. It feels right. I fight for something I believe in."
Could she say the same ?

Maia shook her head, it was good to err on the side of caution, "no no," she said caution, "you would be crazy to trust just anyone." Hell he would be crazy to trust any blood moon senshi, but Maia was different and uneasy on her stance as to the whole negaverse. She wasn't blind, she knew the death tolls were lower, that did not mean they did not still takes lives. She knew some did, but who she was sure and even so she was still reluctant.
"I am glad to here the two of you have never killed someone. I truly hope you never have too." She was against killing and she did not want too. When the BMC celebrated first kills Maia was always silent, often slinked to the end of the group and happily slinked away after the congratulations ended.
"I would have to say, however, that you are wrong to say you do not belong," she said. "Were you not born here. I was. I am still me despite this power and I belong here. I do not to see this planet my, home, to be shrouded in darkness. Why do the negaverse believe they belong here, that we are a threat? Am I a threat to you in this moment? What have I done to deserve the fate most of negaverse wishes to heap upon me?"
The questions poured out Maia could almost not stop them, but she managed. She doubted she would get truthful answers and really how helpful could he be. From his stance alone, she could only think he was newer.
