The sun rose high and as it began to raise higher and grow hotter, Miz'ri smiled. Her long blue tresses falling gently around her face as she laid out in the sun. The tickle of it's rays tingling her bright fur. This was the time of year she adored. The sound of life blooming. Nothing made her any happier.
As she rolled unto her back, she squinted, the sun beating into her eyes. "This feels much better." she said out loud to herself, kicking her foot slightly. She hated the stuffy feeling of her home and was much happier spending her time outside. Lost in her own world, uncertain and uncaring of what was lurking around her.

As the rose in the sky getting warmer Odhrán woke, stretched and began moving about as was his normal routine. While he was waking and looking around getting his bearings for the day he thought he heard a voice say something was better.
Deciding that he was probably hearing things he began to meander around looking for just the right spot to lay back down and bathe in the sunlight. He could see a spot that looked perfect but as he got there it seemed someone else was already there. Well, sure and I wasn't hearing things when I heard a voice say 'much better'. 'Twas you getting comfortable there I am thinking. He said, his natural accent coming thru in a relaxed, nonchalant manner.

Miz'ri was taken by surprise as the male came into view, even more so began to speak to her. Rolling quickly from her back, she stood on the other side of the rock, looking up at him with big bright teal eyes. She didn't deal well with strangers. Not that she wasn't accustomed to them. She was just always leery.
"Oh...um...Hello there..." she said as she gave a small bow, making sure to keep her eyes on him. As she raised her head she gave a soft smile. "I didn't realize anyone was around. Had I know, I probably would have been a bit more reserved..." she paused looking down at her paws.

Never in a hurry, Odhrán watched as the pretty female jumped and seemed a bit unnerved. This, not being his intention, saddened him and he decided to make amends - or try to anyway.
Sure an' there was nothin' wrong with layin' in the sun. 'Tis what I was intending myself. You are welcome to keep this spot and I will just grab a bit of sun over yonder. He said as he pointed his nose a few feet away and tryed to keep his voice even and calm not wanting to startle her more than he already had. *She has a rather fun sparkle to her eye....* he thought as he slowly moved to the spot he had pointed to.

The last thing Miz'ri wanted was to make the male feel like she was putting him out. "Oh no! It's not a problem, please make yourself comfortable. This spot is more than big enough for me to share. I wouldn't want to hog it all to myself." she said with a soft smile.
She sat upright, prim and proper, her light blue hair blowing around her face. "I.." she paused for a moment in hesitation. "I am Miz'ri. It is a pleasure to meet you." Her tail, swayed a little, back and fourth. While she was always told and raised to be proper. The fact that there was someone to talk to, excited her a little, especially with it being someone who's pelt was so exotically bright.

Odhrán stopped his slow walk to the new spot and listened as the female spoke....*Miz'ri...* her name seemed to just slide across the tongue as he thought it to himself.
Thank you for the invitation lass. My name is Odhrán. It is kind of you to share the warmth of the spot with me. As he said this his eyes twinkled a bit and he thought to himself *she is a pretty lass and well mannered....soft colors and a sweet disposition..who could ask for more in a companion on a sunny day...*

Miz'ri smiled soft as Odhran made his way back. Delicately flopping back down on the ground. She moved her body, stretching her hind legs far behind her with a small kick. The delicate blooms of the dandelion puffs fluttering into the breeze.
"Odhran...Odhran.. That's Gaelic am I right? It's very lovely. If you do not mind me asking..." she paused with a small laugh as she rolled to her side. "What does it mean?"

Odhrán lazily stretched out on the ground next to Miz'ri and made himself comfortable in the sun. While on his back he saw a dandelion puff and blew on it sending the seeds sailing on the breeze.
Aye, 'tis Gaelic. Thank you for the compliment. Meaning? Well, let me think I remember bein' told once. When I was little my color was very light and I was rather small. Odhrán means 'Little pale green one' and it seemed to fit me. Your name, Miz'ri, reminds me of misery and I am thinkin' that canna be for you are too nice to be a misery. He said with a bit of a smile and a twinkle in his eyes.

She gave a small, half smile as he made the connection between Miz'ri and Misery. Pawing delicately at the grass watching a small cricket bounce from out it's hiding space. She laughed at it, her eyes lost in thought. "Why thank you. It's nice to hear kind words like that. I guess my Mother had a funny way of showing her appreciation in naming me Miz'ri. But I thank her for it every day."
Her lost gaze fading as she smiled. Her head shaking back and fourth quickly, fading those thought from her head. "Have you always lived on this island?" she asked, thinking about the young unicolin she met a while ago, who came from the dreamers Isle.

As he listened to her talk he thought she sounded rather sad or far away, almost disconnected for a moment from the world around them. Sure an' I have been here as long as I can remember. Since I havenna run into anyone else who speaks quite like I do I canna say I have ALWAYS been here. But where I may have been before I canna recall. An' you...have you always lived on this beautiful isle? Trying to keep her from getting that far away disconnected look again he ran his words together a bit faster than he liked. He had not run into many others recently and he didn't want a potential friend disappearing...

She smiled as he talked, paying close attention trying shift through his heavy accent. "As far as I know I have, but not always on this side. The island it'self is huge. I came from the complete opposite side of the island. A small, now empty area. But that was long ago..." she said in an almost whisper in her last words, closing her eyes. The breeze felt good, too good, she could sit here for a while and just enjoy it. She began to hum a small tune, coming deep from her throat a sad sort of tune.

As he listened to her talk he noticed that she seemed a bit far away. As she whispered her last words she began to hum and this intrigued him as the tune was soft and haunting. What is that you are humming? 'Tis an interesting tune, but rather sad. he asked then thought quickly that she might not be wishing to talk of it. Would you be up to showin' me around a bit? 'Tis only a wee bit of the area I have seen and I am thinkin' you would be knowin' more of things here than I. he said lightly, trying to lift her mood a bit.
