It had been four days since they'd returned from that Jack damned island, and Seiji hadn't so much as spoken to his ghoul friend since she had wandered off with Sarias. They'd exchanged a few texts, but after she'd assured him she was alright and only needed a little time alone he'd accepted it and let her be. He hadn't liked it, but he figured it was something she needed, and after everything they'd all gone through, he could understand it. Still, it'd been four days, wasn't that enough time? Frankly it was all beginning to get a little aggravating. Sure, he was thinking of her and what she needed, but what about what he needed?

Hands crammed into his pockets, he snorted as he made his way down the halls of the monster dorms. A scowl twisting his lips as dark eyes counted down the numbers on the plates beside the doors.

This had all gone on quite long enough. No, he wasn't really a clingy guy and understood that she needed space from time to time, but now? After everything that happened? Directly after they'd finally reunited? She didn't want to see him? It kinda hurt. Prickling not only at his pride, but also his heart. Sure they hadn't been a couple long, but he was really attached to Junko, and he had assumed she liked him back, had he been wrong?

No.. He didn't think so.

Stopping at the ghoul's door, the boil withdrew his claw from his pocket to rap his knuckles rather firmly against the wood. His opposite hand coming up to rest on the wall beside the frame as he leaned in. "Junko?" He made it a question, just in case she had finally left her room. Of course if she had, and not contacted him, he'd have been pretty upset. "It's been Four days, this is getting ridiculous." He tried to keep his tone even, but it was likely a hint of irritation seeped through.

He sighed, resting his forehead against the coolness of the wood. "Doesn't it matter what I need?" It might not have been fair to say, but it was true. He needed her, and she had locked herself away.

Had it really been four days? Oops. Junko had slept away the first day, nearly slept away the second..but managed to keep herself occupied with sewing until Tomoko barged in. To be honest it wasn't that she was doing any of this on purpose, she really was feeling better! It was just...the nightmares. They were making it hard for her to sleep and, as a result, she was rather forgetful and spacey. Junko couldn't sleep well at night, not after what she'd seen happen to Riley. And now her neck hurt whenever she moved it...that was odd. At first she thought it was just sore from sleeping strangely but today she had finally worked up the nerve to check out her reflection in the mirror. What she saw horrified her; there was a huge bruise around her neck in the shape of a pair of hands...Sarias' hands. Junko frowned and lightly rest her hand against her throat, trying not to rub at it. "One day we'll get back at her for that. That b***h won't get away with this."

"It's alright, I'll...just cover it for now. I have things that will cover it...like scarves. It's the right weather for a cute scarf every now and then, right?" Junko wandered to her wardrobe to open it and look through for a scarf, finding a long and fluffy red one that she wrapped loosely around her neck. She did it in a way that it looked styled but covered her neck. Yes, this would do. Suddenly there came a firm knock at her door and she squeaked, jumping a little and whirling around. Huhwhat?! Oh...oh! That was Seiji! She grinned and ran across the room, tripping on a couple stray pillows and nearly slamming into the door as she caught herself on it. She was okay! She was fine! Finally she opened the door as he was saying something about what he needed, smiling brightly but looking quite curious about what he meant. Of course it mattered what he needed? What was the problem--oh...right.

"Hi! I-I'm sorry! It does matter, um..wh-what do you need?" Hey, cut her some slack! Junko'd never had a boilfriend before! She didn't realize boils had needs.

He could hear her moving around the room, her voice filtering through the door. It was muffled, but he thought he heard something about covering and a scarf. he had about two seconds to wonder what the hell that meant before something nearly crashed into the door before it opened and he had to jerk back to keep from falling through it, his grip on the wall sliding to curl tightly around the frame. Dark eyes widening briefly in surprise before narrowing once again in the irritation and hurt that fueled his walk all the way over here. The bright smile she turned up to him only seeming to make him grumpier. If she was doing as well as she seemed, why hadn't she called him yet?

The honest naivety of her question made his lips twitching, but more in a thoughtful way, rather then the hint of a smile. How could she just ask? How come she couldn't just see what was bothering him and understand it?

Straightening, he hooked his clawed thumb within the belt loop on his side, palm resting on his hip as he forced his more human fingers back through fluffed hair. "Seriously?" He stared down at her. "You disappear not even five minutes after we get home from that.. Place, and lock yourself in your room for days." He resisted the urge to tally things off on his fingers. "I don't get a phone call, I barely get a text, and only after I reached out to you first, and here you are smiling up at me as if everything's all fine, and if they were, why wouldn't you get a hold of me?" His voice was picking up as he carried on. Raising from his normal level baritone to something more obviously upset.

"I mean, I'm your boilfriend, aren't I?" He seemed exasperated, and he was. "Junko, I died out there. Died! He'd brought his human hand around now to hover between them as he leaned closer for emphasis. "And I've been trying to sleep with those memories, with this new worry on top of all that, and there's nothing there to comfort me." Saying it outloud it seemed a little selfish, but at least it was honest. He'd let her do what she needed to make herself feel better, but it had gone against what he'd wanted and needed from the start. Four days of not seeing her, of worrying, of nightmares. He was stressed.

Oh...this was bad. Seiji was unhappy. She hadn't seen it at first in her excitement to see him but now that she was all settled and content she had a chance to really see his face. He wasn't happy, and she didn't realize why just yet. Was it..because of her? Oh dear. Her hair stopped its natural writhing to fall limp, a reaction to her own discomfort much like an animal lowering its ears back. What had she done wrong? Finally he spoke, and not in a happy way. Junko bit her lip nervously, listening as he explained what was wrong. Oh, that was it. Wait, days? How many days had it been?! Her eyes widened a bit as she looked around for a calendar or something that would tell her what day it was. She tried not to wince at the way turning her neck made it ache slightly. Stupid bruise! "I..I was going to come right back but--I just..I..how long have I been...four days?" Junko honestly had no idea how many days it'd been until Seiji said so. Had it seriously been that long!? She'd slept and...woken up and...had that been one day or two? Did Tomoko come see her the day they arrived, the day after or...? She lifted a hand to bury it in her hair and hold her head, at a bit of a loss. She didn't realize how out of touch with time she had been since they got back; she honestly didn't mean for this to happen. When Seiji asked if he was her boyfriend her gaze snapped back to him. Sarias' words rang in her head almost instantly.

I can’t be blamed if he jumps ships now can I? Who I am I to discourage him if wishes to better himself?

It took everything she had to keep herself from allowing tears to well up in her eyes as her heart sank into the pit of her stomach. Why did he have to ask? If Seiji had to ask then she was being a terrible ghoulfriend.

"Of course you are!" Her hair lifted a bit as she said this, biting her lip again as he reminded her he'd died. "I-I know you did! I saw it! I saw you and...and Mei and Rile--" She put a hand over her mouth and dropped the other to rest on her stomach as she thought of that, using every bit of willpower she had not to gag. It wasn't that Riley mattered more to her than Seiji, it had been the way she'd died that was getting to her. Once she had regained her composure she frowned, looking very much like a kicked puppy. She did feel bad. Junko hadn't meant to neglect him. "I just..I'm not used to...I'm so sorr--"

"Oi! She died too, you know! Impaled by a falling stalactite! And then when we got back? Almost killed again. And she--" Junko pressed both hands over Her mouth to shut her up, frowning up at Seiji with the most apologetic look on her face. She didn't want Her butting in and messing everything up; Junko could fix her own messes.

"Seiji I.." She frowned and pouted her lips, deciding to start another way. "I'm sorry." Her hands dropped from the back of her head and she reached out for the hand that was being held out between them, holding it in both of her own hands and giving it a squeeze. "I'm really sorry. I honestly had no idea how many days it's been. Tomo-chan practically threw herself in here and she convinced me not to lock myself in forever and then I just had so much trouble sleeping I had no idea I...I'm so, so sorry! How can I make it up to you?" Junko pleaded, refusing to let go of his hand. She needed to know how she could make this up to him, she needed to make him smile again.

He almost laughed when she asked him how many days she'd been unavailable, almost, but the neglect and stress fueled irritation quelled the urge. It wasn't funny. Ironic maybe, but certainly not funny. He had to bite his tongue to keep from snapping back with some sarcastic retort as she glanced around for any indicator of the date, reigning in his temper to keep from making things worse then they already were. The shock was slightly gratifying, in a petty sort of way, as well as the hurt look that flashed over her pretty face she she looked back up at him.

Of ocurse that gratification didn't do a whole lot to improve his move. Rather then making him feel better, it mostly just made him feel like an a**. A little of his anger cooling as her eyes took on a shinier quality that he had to assume was welling tears. Damnit, he didn't want to make her cry..

Her affirmation that they were indeed still a couple did help, and the angry lines of his face smoothed into something much smoother as she recounted the terrible things she'd had to witness. He could only imagine, not that he wanted to, and regretted having a hand in putting her through that. If he'd seen her die.. No, he didn't even want to entertain the idea. She'd made it out of that damn place in one peace, and even if she'd had to seen terrible things, at least she hadn't d-

"What?" What had She said? Junko. Died? He blinked at her, stiffening as she took his hand. "You.." He trailed off as his gaze fell from her face to trace the pale line of her throat. Sinking down to linger on her chest, but not as if her were looking at her breasts. The haunted cast to his eyes certainly didn't reflect any heat, and it was clear he was imagining her dainty frame trapped beneath the point of a crushing stalactite. It made his own chest tight, and he gave her hand a tight squeeze before pulling her in against him. Pulling free of her grip so he could envelope her in his arms and hug her to him.

It didn't matter.. No. No it did matter. Hell, he didn't know. There was suddenly a part of him fully willing to just let it all go never talk about it again, all forgiven, but there was another part that just wouldn't let him. If he didn't get it all off his chest it wouldn't just go away with time. It would linger, and fester, and grow in time to become a huge issue. He didn't want that. "You could have slept in my bed, with me, in my arms. You didn't have to face those nightmares alone, neither of us did.." He lay his cheek on the top of her head. "It should have been me you turned to for comfort."

Ah, damn. She didn't want Seiji to know she'd died, because she was clearly okay now...physically. Mentally? She was still working on that. Junko frowned, looking like a kicked puppy again as he realized she really had died after he did. She'd tried so hard to stay alive but...things happened. Death things. Her gaze followed Seiji's down for a moment without actually moving her head, frowning as she self consciously tugged her scarf up a little to make sure her neck was completely covered. She was starting to think this scarf was a stupid idea; Junko never wore scarves, it was so random to have one with this outfit. Ugh. She squeaked as she was suddenly pulled against Seiji in a hug and tensed for a moment purely out of surprise before quickly relaxing and leaning against him, closing her eyes with a happy little sigh. She loved his hugs. Her arms slid around him and gripped his shoulders, burying her face against his chest with a small whimper.

"I'm sorry. I'm really, really sorry." She whimpered, clinging to him. Seiji continued on to speak again and she bit her lip, holding tightly onto his shoulders and shaking her head a little. No, she couldn't have slept with him! It was improper! Riley had told her it..wasn't proper...

Screw it, she really needed him now. She'd had her alone time, now she wanted attention. Junko lifted her head a bit and remembered they were still in her doorway, leaning into Seiji and nuzzling her cheek against him. "I want to make it up to you. Just tell me how?" Junko looked up at Seiji with her cheek still pressed against him, peeking up through the bangs. There were obviously things she would not do, but there had to be some way to make him feel better.

When she relaxed against him a kernel of his own tension leaked away as well, and though his grip on her loosened, his arms slide up a little higher to circle her shoulders. One hand slipping up to bury in the hair at the back of her neck, just below Her. The scarf was in the way, but a little shifting moved the knit length from the ghoul's skin, and his cooler hand smoothed along the warmth of her skin. Why was she wearing a scarf? Was she cold? She didn't feel cold. Her skin was it's usual wash of heat, and he soaked it up as he held her.

As she continued to apologize he drew a heavy breath, sighing before smoothing his clawed fingers down her back. "It's fine." It wasn't, but it would be. "Just don't do stuff like that again, ok?"

His hands were big enough, and her small enough, that even with his palm still resting at the back of her neck he could stroke the edge of her cheek with the tip of his finger as she nuzzled against him. He glanced down at her when she looked up, frowning at her before the expression faded into something much more neutral. He was still mad, but with her looking up at him like that it was hard to hold onto that irritation.

It dawned on him then that they were still in the hall, and with a small grunt of annoyance he tightened his grip on the futakuchi-onna, picking her up so he could walk them both back into her room. Closing the door behind him with a kick of his foot as he passed. Once inside he continued walking until they reached the bedroom, then turned so he could sit on the edge of her bed with her sitting on his knees, straddling his lap. "You wanna make it up to me, hmm?"
PostPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 5:02 pm

The Mistress curled Her lips unhappily when the fingers came close but otherwise She did nothing, allowing this affection...for now. If it went too far She would definitely be interfering. Junko was happy again, feeling much better than when she had been near tears until she felt the slight tug of the scarf she was wearing. She tensed up and tried not to wince as Seiji's hand brushed against the edge of her bruising, hoping he'd take it as a pleasant reaction. He'd made her do it in the past! It was plausible! As he asked her not to do it again she nodded and stood on her tiptoes for a kiss while trying not to stretch her neck too much. The scarf was loose, she was worried it'd loosen so much it'd fall off.

Whether he kissed her or not she squeaked as she was picked up and shifted to cling tightly to Seiji. Sayuri and Kuro perked up in the playpen and yipped happily at the new visitor, Aoi didn't care enough to do anything except give them his back. As they sat she blushed, looking down at the way she was sitting and self-consciously shifting and adjusting her skirt so nothing would show. Her eyes turned back up to Seiji as he spoke, her cheeks still flushed pink as she nodded. "Yes..o-obviously there's...things I won't do but I still want to make you happy again." She pouted, pursing her lips and leaning in to nuzzle her face against his cheek. She didn't want to see him frown anymore; she didn't like it.

Frankly, the lack of protests from the back of his ghoulfriend's head was surprising, but he wasn't curious enough to poke at it. If She was shutting up and leaving him alone that was good enough for him. He didn't need to know why.

Still holding her rather tightly, he edged back on the bed until his back could rest against the wall, then let his hands slip down to settle on the outsides of her thighs just below the ruffled hem of her skirts. Claw tips tickling up and down slightly as she got comfortable and worried over the placement of her attire. It made him smile, the barest twitch of a grin before lips smoothed back into neutrality.

Then he frowned again as she pointed out certain rather obvious exceptions to the lengths she would take to make things up to him. He stared at her, eyes narrowing rather defensively. "The thought never even crossed my mind, thank you very much." He snorted, then promptly turned his head to look away from her, only to glance upon the playpen with it's barking inhabitants. He glowered at them.

"You wanna make me happy, huh?" His tone was rather flat, but he did roll his eyes back to look at her. "Stay with me tonight."
PostPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 5:32 pm

Geh! Wh-where were his hands going? Junko's blush grew hotter as she cleared her throat and adjusted her scarf again now that Seiji's hand was away from it, trying not to make it obvious how she was tugging and pulling it as gingerly as possible while still making sure it stayed in place and stayed up. She was hiding her neck, and needed to keep it hidden. When she noticed his eyes narrowing she pouted again, scratching at her cheek. "Eh heh..sorry..." She just needed to remember she had limits! He was obviously more..experienced at dating than she was.

Hell, a rock was more experienced at dating than she was.

Junko followed his gaze to the playpen and smiled, draping her arms over his shoulders and nudging his head with hers to turn it back to her. "They'll calm down in a minute. They're just excited I have a guest..." She murmured to him, smiling and kissing his nose. As he made his request she blinked, leaning back a little and tilting her head. She looked..unsure. It wasn't that she didn't want to! She really would like to stay with him just...Riley had said...

...W-well...Riley didn't need to know this time...

"Okay." Junko told him with a smile, moving a hand to playfully cup his face in a way that let her squeeze his cheeks, puckering her lips. "Grumpy gus." She let him go to hug Seiji, giggling and cuddling up against him. She wanted him to stop frowniiiiing!

He sniffed sharply at her apology but as she leaned against him to drape her arms up over his shoulders he couldn't help but smile, even if it was only a little one. Really, the barking didn't bother him, he was used to Hikari and Scythe yapping their heads off whenever she or Bul stopped by for a visit. Of course his own pets tended to simmer down rather quickly, and these two.. were still barking. Special.

The kiss on his nose made him blink down at her, and whether the affection itself, or the warmth of her lips, it helped thaw the cool irritation that had been plaguing him since.. well since about ten minutes after they'd returned from that jack forsaken island. As she leaned back to consider his request he watched her, tracing the pale curve of her cheek as she scratched at it before his gaze lowered to the scarf looped around her neck. Why was she wearing that.

She relented, and he grinned before her palms came up to squash at his cheeks, making grey lips pucker like a fish. This of course made him want to frown at her, but it was down right impossible to do so with his mouth squashed. He did his best to glare at her though as she teased him, before lifting a hand of his own to give to end of her scarf a tug. Pulling at it until she leaned forward voluntarily to cuddle against him. His clawed hand came around automatically to rest on her back, smoothing up and down the line of her spine as his human fingers rubbed over the knit end of the scarf still in his grasp. "Are you cold?"
PostPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 6:12 pm

He had grinned! She saw it! She saw it! Junko could take pride in that one moment he had looked happy before she was been totally silly. Everything was okay until she felt him tugging at the scarf, wincing a bit and trying desperately not to look panicked as she instinctively swatted his hand away from it. Just keep smiling, just keep smiling. "Ah..a little! You are very cool~." Junko just spat out the first thing she could think of, clearing her throat and shivering. The shiver wasn't because she was 'cold' though, it was because of his touches. Jack, it made her nervous that he was touching her scarf. Leave it alone. Leave it alone. Leave it alooooooone!

The foxes had finally calmed and were instead trying to coerce Aoi to play with them by...flopping on him. At least they were quiet. Junko was grateful for that, but for now all she was worried about was Seiji being so concerned over her scarf. She shifted a bit on his lap, nonchalantly moving her neck away from his curious fingers by turning to flop back on her bed with her legs draped over his lap. Ow..the pressure of falling over had kind of hurt her neck. She could deal. "So um! What would you like to do today?"

Dreary eyes narrowed slightly as her hand came up to smack his own from the end of her scarf before they simply rolled, brows falling in a way that suggested he simply didn't understand women. Specifically the one on his lap. They were weird, and unreasonable creatures, all of them. It made him snort, and he let the dark tips of clawed fingers slide down her back to just above the enticing curve of her rear. Pinking finger tapping gently after a moment as he realized the proximity. Admittedly, there were certain things that made it all worth while..

He coughed, clearing his throat and forcibly pulling his mind free from the gutter it was inching towards. Stilling his hand where it rested on the flare of her skirt. The last thing he wanted to do was make her uncomfortable after they'd made up and she'd agreed to stay over.

As for what to do, he wasn't really sure. He'd sort of expected their.. Not a fight. Discussion? To last longer then it had, and he hadn't really made a game plan for after. "I dunno, I hadn't really thought about it," he admitted lamely, glancing out the window. "How about you, anything in particular you'd like to do?"
PostPosted: Sun May 22, 2011 3:44 am

She saw the way he looked at her when she smacked his hand and immediately felt bad about it, rubbing at the back of her neck and giving him an apologetic smile. She could have handled that better. As he pet at her she squeaked and squirmed, tilting her head a bit as he suddenly coughed and stopped. Junko paid no attention to where his hand had been, it was the fact that he was touching her at all that was getting to her, so she honestly had no idea why he was suddenly coughing. Was he alright? Did he need a drink? A pat on the back? She looked much like a cat the way she was angled lying on her back and twisted in a way that allowed her to look at him without lifting her head even a little. Comfortable? Strangely, yes.

Junko hummed thoughtfully when it seemed Seiji didn't have any ideas, following his gaze out the window. "Let's go for a walk. Get out." She smiled and sat up, draping her arms over Seiji's shoulders and leaning in to rest her forehead against his. "I think it'd do us some good~!"

"Hmm?" He pulled his attention to the scenery outside as she suggested a walk and actually paused to consider it. As spontaneous plans went, it wasn't a bad one, and he smiled down at the ghoul sprawled beside and over his lap. "I think that's a great idea," he agreed, catching her arms as she moved to sit up so he could slip his hands up along her shoulders and down her back as she leaned into him. Her forehead against his was warm, and he took the briefest of seconds to enjoy it before tipping his head up so he could steal a kiss from equally warm lips. Then he grinned at her rather pointily. "Shall we go then?"

He didn't give her much time to respond, but rather slid his arms under the curve of her knees and along her back, hoisting the ghoul up as he slid across the bed to get to his feet. "Come on princess." He teased, carrying her across the room and towards the door. Bending so he could turn the knob with his human hand and push the door open with his foot, closing it once against behind him as he moved them into the halls.

He didn't really have a direction in mind as he carried her through the halls of the monster dorms and out into the mild weather surrounding their school. He also didn't seem to have any plans of setting her down any time soon.
