Kajji stared off into the darkness, his ears and posture drooped. His shoulders shook as the tears fell silently. Umo had abandoned him, he broke his promise to him!. Anger and a deep hurt coursed through Kajji's veins. It was just like before with Tomo, he had promised the same thing and had lied. Kajji's heart began to fill with a darkness, all animals had it though it mostly stayed locked away. Turning his back upon those he had once held dear, kajji silently vowed to get even with them. Whispering softly into the wind as he sat there. "You lied"

Umo felt ashamed for leaving Kajji alone like he had but... something had happened to Umo that could not be explained. He had forgotten where he was and what he was doing. He had only done that once before and now... he had done it again. He did it when he was a cub too... gotten into a panic and having shaking spells where he drooled. His mother had explained that a snake had bitten him when that happened and it happened again. He had walked and stepped on that same kind of snake and fell ill to its venom. When he recovered... he did not remember much but struggled back to the lands where he knew were his 'home'. Tears stil hung on his cheeks from when he shook uncontrolably. Then reality hit him. He had been away for a while. Thin and trembling he stumbled farther... until something caught his eye. It was Kajji... his adoptive son. He felt sorrow immediatly. He had left his child alone, like many before him. He must hate him now.
Gaining his composure he walked up beside him, looking down at him with a weary smile. His front left paw was slightly swollen from the bit and he still was shaky. "What'd I miss?" He asked montonly with a sad look on his face now. "I'm sorry Kajji my son... I fell ill-" He motioned to his front paw. He leaned down and began to groom Kajji. "Forgive me for frightening you."
