So, I'm one of the band "historians" in my band council this year, and so that means 2 others, as well as myself, are in charge of making this year's Band Banquet slide show. I wanna make it amazing, but I'm really not up-to-date on popular songs that most people listen to. 85% of the songs on my ipod are either about love, in a foreign language, or just plain nonsense. xD
So, my question to all of you is: do you have any good suggestions for any songs I could use for a slide show consisting of a collage of marching band photos taken during this school year?
Aaaand, suggestion time. =]

Well my dad makes slide shows for our band, and he find music that we played that year and uses it in the background or he uses old songs from the past like Photograph by NickelBack or Take it easy by the eagles, one song which I love for faster pictures on a slide show would be Explosive by Bond .... However if your looking for common songs from today..... I don't know

I don't know any current songs, but good luck! I made a slideshow for the band seniors and cried the whole time I made it haha. It's so hard making stuff like that!
Hm. You could consider using a song that is popular with your band? I used Seasons of Love by the cast of RENT because we used to sing it on every single bus ride. Just an idea, idk.

Here are a few more choices, they're all kind of sad songs.
Name - By the Goo Goo Dolls
Your Not Alone - By Saosin
Across the Burren - Michele McLaughlin

i liked our slideshow last year (during the winterguard pics/videos) they had the song we (the guard) used and kinda overlapped some video and then cut to pics with the song still playing. you don't need to be that high-tech (since i have no clue how to do something like that) but you could use that song if its a good one? or...if drumline used a certain song in their show (or warmups) use that? (like this year one of our DL's warmups was "f*** you" or, as we all told our BD, "forget you" haha) umm...the original version of a pep band song everyone likes? idk i just think it'd be more memorable if you used a song that meant something to your band
