So you've been roleplaying a while now, and you think you're ready to run a thread on your own. Or maybe you're not ready, but can't find anything good after sifting through the vast sea of crap that gaia's roleplayers post in Barton Town. Well, don't worry about it. Read this guide and you'll be ready to make your own roleplay thread. (It's okay to peek at the guide as you build it, we won't tell)

The very first thing you gotta do is have an idea what kind of RP you wanna make. This is very important as it determines just where in the Forums you'll want to set your thread up. If it's related to an existing Manga/anime/videogame/etc., or is built around a secret-organization style premise, there are special subforums for these. Hustle your butt over to the forum and see where your RP fits in.

Navigate your pixels to the appropriate forum/subforum and click 'New Topic'. Bask in the warm glow of your empty post.
First thing, Give your Thread a name. A flashy title may draw potential entrants before you even finish the thread! Be sure to mark the title '[U/C]' for: 'Under Construction'. This tells people your thread is unfinished and they shouldn't post in it, which can really mess up a thread.

The next thing you wanna do is post in all or most of the first page's posts, marking each one 'reserved'. This way nobody can break up the continuity of your front page, as noted above. If you're co-creating the thread, you and your partner may want to alternate reserving posts, but you don't have to. It just looks nifty.
