So I was just wondering if any of you have modded your Oblivion installs, and if you did, what you considered to be essential mods to enhance Oblivion experience. Do you prefer immersion-mods, god-items, cosmetic or quest-mods. Overhauls, small mods, big mods, whatever. Could also discuss and recommend mods :3

Here's my OBMM list. One of the mods has like 20 plugins, each with a separate .esp file so I took all of them out. And while HGEC Body Replacer offers some nudity I'm not necessarily going to hell for that considering what other mods you can find out there (especially Japanese mods ._.). Not denying that I will go to hell though...

I know nothing about mods in general....I would have no idea how to even add them to my xbox360 though I wonder if mods aren't solely for pc?

Ah makes sense. So its what I thought, only PC. Well.....gaming started out for me when I was younger on my mom's pc but it wasn't all that great and couldn't handle real games.....and when I got older I played on game consoles with friends and eventually bought my own. It would seem I have missed out on much by not gaming on a PC. Now if only I had a grand or so to drop on a nice gaming pc.....

Well I think only PC. You may get Shivering Isles etc... for XBox, but you won't get any modder learning how to mod for XBox so long as they can mod for PC. Only downside to PC gaming is that you buy new ones every 2-4 years or constantly upgrade older parts of it and with piracy the market might be shrinking. Piracy is, of course, also an upside if you want to go for that. I dl'ed Oblivion when I was too lazy to look for it anyhow, since I bought the retail version, so I did it in good conscience. Also had the German version, English is a lot better of course <.<

How can Mods be for lazy people? ._. There are so many mods that make the game more challenging, give you a whole lot more to play through or work towards or that make the game a whole lot more immersive/realistic. Not realistic as in remove the fantasy, but for example adding a weight to bows (as in how hard they are to pull back), different points on the enemies to hit for a FATALITY, reduced accuracy on movement and the possibility to trip over elevated objects while moving backwards while taking aim. Possibilities for enemies to completely dodge attacks etc...
And then again, of course, there are mods that give you super-weapons or spells that make finger-of-the-mountain look like a tossed torch in comparison. But it's all a choice which ones one would like to use ._.
