I don't have anything against her personally, I just don't like the whole "there was something between us in your future and I know everything" attitude she has.....It just throws me off a little.

Have you seen the new season? River specifically says in the first episode that when she was a young girl she meet an older Doctor...and now as she grows older, she keeps meeting the younger Doctor. So technically, there is something between them in his future, and in her past.
..
They never did explain if there was a romantic relationship between them though, if that's what your asking.

I'm not really asking either way, I just.....I don't exactly like the whole knowing more than the doctor thing, if you know what I mean. It just feels a little strange having it approached from the other direction. The whole thing with knowing his name threw me off a little. That more than anything suggested a romantic relationship, which is ok. I'm just not exactly sure what I think of her. You know what I mean?

She threw me off in the episode The Silent Library at first but when she came back in the new season with Matt Smith I liked having her, I think she's awesome, a little crazy but awesome.

I think I get what you mean. When you first see her, she can come off as an obnoxious know-it-all.
But as time went on, and I got to experience a little bit of what she must experience, meeting up with the Doctor all the time and actually experiencing their adventures before he does, I understand how she acts. It's almost a self-consoling attitude because after all, if she stopped to think about it (and she does at some points), it becomes a really sad concept.

Yeah. I never liked her because of that obnoxiousness of hers. I have to admit, she's a good asset on the team, but for the love of god she gets on my nerves sometimes!
And about that whole romantic suggestion thing, I got a similar feeling from the library episode as well. I thought for sure she had to have been some kind of significant other to the Doctor. I guess we'll just have to find out then, won't we? rolleyes Past what we already know, I mean.

I really like River Song and her bad-a** fighting skills. She is easily one of my favorite characters. I find it very interesting that she knows more than the doctor. Also, it is tragic that she knows more, because by the time he catches up to her, she may very well not be there anymore. She mentions to Rory that they are going in opposite directions. I look forward to seeing what happens.

If you haven't noticed the plot line is more jumpy like the nonlinear sequence. The fact that she can be show up anytime during the season or any other can be see can one of a couple people that was already shown the difference.

I think she's absolutely brilliant. She's funny, sexy, and enigmatic. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her in Silence In The Library. I honestly can't see what there isn't to like about her.
Of course, I am a bit biased, since I already thought Alex Kingston was a sexy beast. rolleyes

Tazoeai i look forward to see more about who she is how she met the doctor I believe she met him for the first time in Let's Kill Hitler. At least it was her first time meeting him in her current form. She met him briefly as a child while she was wearing that spacesuit, just before Amy shot at her.
