Political opinions aside, what went through your mind when you heard about Osama Bin Laden's death? Where were you? Did you share the news with anyone?
It's not the end of terrorism but it's certainly a thorn in our side that's finally gone! I'm glad that the families and friends of victims from 9/11 are starting to feel a sense of peace and justice served.

I was kinda shocked when I logged on late last night and was like..."wait...he's dead?" but then when Obama came out to confirm it I too felt a little happiness inside me to find out that he is gone...although some things are just a tiny bit farfetched to me but yes justice has been served.

:I'm tired of people going "OMG YAY OSAMA IS DEAD" and celebrating like it's a ******** victory. It's inconsiderate, and indecent, to celebrate the death of /anyone/ and Osama is no different.
While I'm glad the people affected by his actions finally have closure, I'm not happy nor am I celebrating. His death won't make much difference, other than a symbolic one, and I'm not personally affected by that.
If anything, his death is going to stir up his followers into more attacks. Tch. Justice, really? I'll celebrate when the war is ******** over, not when just one person is dead, ktnx.
Sorry for cursing, but if you didn't want to see cursing, you'd use Gaia's word filters. -shrugs-

I don't wish death on people personally, but I do believe you reap what you sow. Therefore, I'm glad he's dead. He was the symbol of terrorism. Granted, I'm not going to go out dancing in the streets, but some people do deserve to die, and some to suffer. Bin laden would be on my slow painful list. He proudly said "yup, the death of thousands was all me and my people (al quida) and we ain't done yet..." He had to go IMO. My main concern at this point is a copycat coming out of the woodwork to try to imitate, continue or exceed where Bin laden left off. For now, I think the people who lost someone due to 9/11 or the war in the middle east should breath at least a small sigh of relief that a key player is out of the picture. He may have been a sickly man, but he was an icon to terrorism. So right now their morale must be kinda low. So in a way it is a victory if only a small one.
And I agree Spider, there has to be something more to this.

Whatever happen to the justice system? :/ Be joyous and celebrate when the troops come home.

I felt mild. I feel that it's going to really be a better year. I'll be happier when our men come back to be with their family.

Hisaki_Kage Be joyous and celebrate when the troops come home.
That's also how I feel too. I know so many people that have joined the armed forces and not just friends but family too. If I'm happy for anyone it's for them because now they probably feel like they were over there for a reason, a real reason, that has now been dealt with.
