-As tall and blonde as she was, Ellie was not a difficult person to find in the Meadowview crowd. Which was perhaps why as Aitana pushed and shoved her way through the crowded hallways of students trying to gather their things for the end of the day she spotted the familar figure from the back. It was the girl the had showed her the auto shop. The one that had beat her and still owed her a rematch.-
"Hey!" -She called out, raising a hand in an attempt to gather her attention. One that of course fell short due to the immense amount of noise and people rustling though the hall. The girl frowned, shoving her shoulder and self inbetween two talking students, power walking her way past another until she was close enough, reaching out to clamp her hand around the other girl's arm, trying again with a wide grin.- "Hey!"

The tall blonde had been talking with another blonde of the Jared-variety. If Zuniga didn't always have to deal with soccer practice after school, he probably would have been there as well.
"So ya got detention again? Seriously? What'dya do this time?" A half grin seemed to find its way to Ellie's lips.
The boy ruffled his hair a bit. "Class was just so boring today... so I just drew some pictures..."
Before he managed to say what he had drawn (though the tomboy suspected it was another infamously bad caricature of the teacher), something grabbed Ellie by the arm and shouted a "Hey!" in her ear. "Aww sh*****t!" Quickly, the tomboy yanked her arm out of the hold of whoever had it and proceeded to put the corresponding hand up to her ear to cover it.
"Don't f*ckin' shout in my ear!!" she said as she spun around to see who in the world it was that was bothering her and Jared. Green haired and eyed girl with tan skin. Yeah, Ellie had met her once before. They ran to school and then she had trailed her to auto shop like a lost puppy dog.
"Dude... Aitana, was it? Seriously, what th'hell?"
Jared interjected with a simple "Oh, so ya actually know her?"

-It wasn't shame or even regret that touched the face of the girl Ellie turned to address, instead Aitana doned a grin that melted into a bit of a laugh at the reaction she received, chiding the older student mildly.- "Ohhhh, do not be a baby about it"
"You are no wuss, no?" -Wuss hadn't been the impression she'd gotten of the blonde during their first meeting anyway. Certainly a 'wuss' couldn't have bested her in some feat of strength and endurance.
She seemed pleased to be remembered, and lifted her hand in a half wave of greeting towards Jared, but her eyes and attention were dually focused on Ellie.- "I have no practice today so I just came to see what you are doing." -Lost puppy was right.-
"School is over so now some real fun can happen! I hear that roller..." -She paused a moment, trying to find the word before she continued even more enthusastically.- "roller...blading in the park is fun. I have not tried yet. You come?"

"Ain't a wuss, jus' don't wanna go deaf!" the tomboy snapped at the other girl.
Jared dared to snicker at Ellie's expense, which resulted in a punch to his arm. "OW! Hey... I was just kiddin'!" he complained at the well placed punch. With one hand, he rubbed his new injury before quickly dismissing himself. "Ehhh... I gotta get going... Detention calls!"
Gold eyes glared at him for a brief moment as he ran off. The one day he decides to not ditch detention was the day she'd rather drag him off to keep her company.
When it was obvious her friend wasn't going to assist her, her eyes returned to the exchange student. "...good fer ya... what th'heck sport ya in again?" There was something wary about her tone. It probably had something to do with the fact this girl all of a sudden had decided that they were going to go rollerblading in the park.
"Uhhhh.... rollerbladin' sucks..." No Ellie, tell Aitana how you really feel! She then began walking along on her own path to exiting the school grounds. The other teen was capable of following if she wanted, it wasn't like Ellie was going to shoo her away for now. They both wanted to leave school after all.

-There was perhaps a slight inclination of her shoulders, the closest Ellie would received to a cringe as Aitana was snapped at, but her grin stayed wide as ever, growing a little sheepish if nothing else, her hand lifting to rub her head lightly.-
"Volleyball. Outside hitter numero uma!" -She responded with a matter of fact piping as she watched the boy disappear. And as quickly as Ellie attempted to make her departure Aitana found herself in tow, looking momentarily dissapointed to the information given.-
"Sucks?" -Was rollerblading no good? She had thought it sounded like it might be fun, and when she'd seen it on tv it LOOKED like it could be fun but maybe it wasn't it? One day curiousity would probably get the better of her and she'd likely bite again, but for now plan B was formulating in her head.- "So what is fun to do then? If rollerblading is no good."
-The hallways were beginning to thin finally as students escaped out into the light of day, and Aitana's tone was encouraging. Or perhaps frightening... depending on one's disposition.- "I want to try EVERYTHING."

Ellie had an opinion for everything, but in Ellie's mind, these were not merely opinions. No, they were solid facts. Sports and jocks were stupid (with the exception of soccer and Zuniga), and then there were some sports that were not really sports at all. Volleyball was one of them. The tomboy's mind, it was simply a "girl's sport," which never translated to a real sport in her mind. So sadly, Aitana would not see a very impressed expression upon Ellie's face when she mentioned her choice of sport.
It looked as if Ellie wanted to say something, but then was cut off by the younger girl's questions about fun things. Again, the blonde had very specific ideas as to what was considered fun. Things that many people might not have agreed with, such as working in a garage and working on a hunk-of-junk vehicle. Or getting into fights with guys on the streets.
However, one thing managed to get her attention. "I want to try EVERYTHING."
Aitana had just sealed her fate. In a cool tone, the blonde simply stated what was fun. "Motorcycles." They got to the exit at the end of the hallway, and she pushed the door open with one hand. Soon enough the pair were part of the collective who had escaped into the light of day.

-Perhaps if Ellie HAD mentioned her distaste in the form of badmouthing Aitana's sport prowness, the blonde would have found herself welcomely alone as she departed the school. But since those words hadn't exactly gotten out, and the look was taken and disregarded as anything other then a gruff exterior, Aitana was still there when the suggestion sounded. Her mouth opened into a soft o shape, her hands clapping together in a firm sound of approval.
Motorcycles!
Of course she'd seen them before, both in real life and in tv and movies. They were loud, fast, cool. And yet... it seemed like she was missing something.- "I am all for doing motorcycles instead of rollerblades. But are they not harder to get?"
-She had only just turned 16 and noone had even mentioned a drivers license or permit to the exchange student. Which was probably for the best anyway...- "Can you just rent at the park or...?"

This girl is an idiot...
The tomboy was already walking fast, but Aitana was the sort who seemed able to keep up with her. "Motorcycles ain't somethin' ya can jus' rent at th'park, kid! Plus ya need a license t'drive one..." Well, Ellie should have said drive one legally, since she was guilty in the past of not having a license and driving her own. The pair eventually made their way to the crosswalk, just in time to miss the light. She rolled her eyes slightly before pushing the button for the next time around.
"However... if yer willin' t'walk a bit past th'park... ya can take a ride with me on my motorcycle." There was a slight pause. "Yer not drivin'... I am." Sure, the blonde might not have been enjoying the fact she was stuck with a green-haired teenage girl for the afternoon, but there was one thing that Ellie Spectre believed firmly without a doubt.
Everyone needed to ride a motorcycle at least once in their lifetime.
Anyone who hadn't truly had not lived yet.

Aitana's slightly shorter legs worked harder to keep up with the pace Ellie had picked up, seemingly unbothered by the strain. Meadowview uniforms had comfy shoes atleast and that helped alot. If Ellie happened to look back she might have seen a moment's amusement as the brazilian tried to decipher some of the words being spoken. Ain't was a fun one. She'd yet to really figure out contractions at all, let alone ones that weren't straight forward.
Regardless she got the point, and she nodded in excited agreement. She was not too proud... well atleast not when it came to riding b***h as opposed to driving. She was more excited about the idea of it all, as could be told by the sudden gushing. "You have a motorcycle of your own!?"
"How cool is this! Is very very fast right? And we zip between cars like pew pew!" Her hand swerved in playful miming through invisible little cars. If Aitana were a skipper she'd probably be skipping by now.

"Yeah... it was half a motorcycle when I started on it... but now it's definitely my motorcycle." For a moment or two, Ellie beamed with a decent sized grin creeping onto her features. It was one thing she never got tired of, was bragging over the fact that her motorcycle was something she had worked on herself. How could someone get tired of that feeling of accomplishment, knowing that the vehicle she rode was something she fixed up herself?
By the time the crosswalk light changed for them to cross, the blonde was zipping forward, her own energy now seeming to rival Aitana's. At least the Brazilian wouldn't lose Ellie in the crowd, since Ellie was tall enough and had a very distinctive hairstyle that was easy enough to follow.
Eventually, the teen turned back to her companion with a simple comment. "That's th'only way t'ride!" Riding a motorcycle slow and steady while following the rules of traffic was no way to experience such a vehicle. Motorcycles were exciting and daring that solely existed for the rush of it all. Well, all of that and to look aesthetically amazing.
Eventually Ellie turned to a different street. She knew this area of town like the back of her hand. It came with living in Destiny City all of her life. "It ain't too far..." It only took about 15 seconds before the park started to come into view.

"Woahhh" Both the word and the look on her face made it apparent that Aitana was impressed by the information. Lots of people made things, but to take half a motorcycle and make it a full one that worked was certainly one of the cooler things one could make. Aitana approved, quite a bit.
Her foot tap tap tapped when they had to wait for the light. And when they began to walk again Aitana had to pick up her pace to keep up with Ellie, but it didn't bother her in the least.
By the time the park appeared on the horizon her breath was beginning to shallow. It didn't matter, she'd be sitting soon enough!

It didn't take long to get to the park and to start cutting through it in an effort to make it back to Ellie's place. There was actually a concrete path that actually did a decent job leading them to her place. As the blonde led the way down that path, she decided to attempt conversation. Considering how this Aitana had been pretty "cool" in regards to her gushing, maybe, just maybe she was tolerable.
"So... what grade are ya in again?" It wasn't an amazing conversation starter, but it did its job. Casually, the teen glanced to the other.

The park had quickly become a familiar place to the exchange student. She'd come to spend a lot of time there in fact in the beginning, when she was trying to get used to the drastically different weather.. and people.. and well everything. She knew the monkeybars like the back of her hand. The best trees for climbing, walls for tromping all over, and fountains to splash in until someone came and yelled at her. As they cut through the park she logged in her mind the path. It could one day end up haunting Ellie as a very bad mistake.
Aitana was swatting nonchalantly at bushes as they passed when Ellie spoke up. "In grade 10, sophmore."
"Though... not for very much longer huh? Soon summer will be here and I'll be a junior"
Aitana was a fan of summer and no school. "What will you do this summer?" She wasn't sure if the customs or summer activities were much different up here as they were at home.

Ellie was excited for summer too in all honesty. However, it wouldn't be for the same reasons that most teens seemed to have. Most students liked the freedom to go party it up over the summer. If this had been any summer prior to this one, Ellie would have responded with how she'd spend the extra time working on her project in the garage. It had been a long project, but it was finally starting to shape up properly. She'd always wake up at the same time as if she was still in school, and just use that time to work hard on something important to her.
This year, she had a new answer. For her, it was an exciting answer.
"Well, I turned 18 this school year, so I'm gonna be workin'!"
There was back story to this simple answer. Ellie had been wanting to work for her father's friend, Hank, for the longest time. It would be good experience for her to actually be in the field she wanted to go into. Yet, laws being the fickle things they were, wouldn't allow her to start working the moment she was 16. No, for that particular field, 18 was the youngest someone could be. Ellie had known for years now. When she turned 18, she filled out the employment applications, but Hank had managed to weasel his way out of hiring her right then and there. "School is more important... put everything you've got into that, then come summer, give me everything you've got!"
Soon enough their path finally veered away from the park, and actually made its way into the edge of a nearby neighborhood. One moment, they were technically in the park, the next step, they weren't. "What 'bout you? Ya got summer plans of yer own? Or jus' gonna figger it out as it comes?" Rather than guide them along on the sidewalk, Ellie walked along the edge of the street, her feet occasionally kicking up a random pebble from the pavement.

"Work..?" She looked skeptical. Ellie sounded excited about it.. but jobs weren't supposed to be fun were they? Well.. actually her father had always seemed to enjoy his job.. at least much more than her mother. So perhaps it was possible. Still.. Aitana wasn't chomping at the bit to find herself one of those job things. "You work with the.. auto shop?" She thought that was the word.. and that was her guess considering the enthusiasm she'd been able to note from their two meetings. Shop class.. rebuilding her own motorcycle.. etc.
"Ehhh... the family I stay with signed me up for camp." She was torn between excited or not for that. They claimed she'd get to have fun.. and had told her ton of stories and things she'd supposed to be getting to do. Swimming, sports, crafts, hikes, etc. But at the same time.. she had the sinking feeling there were just trying to get rid of her for a week or two.
"After that though I just will do whatever. Have fun, see lots of new things." Reek havoc. That kinda thing.
