Yes it's official. Obama made the speech and his explains in graphic detail the news he got of how Osama died. Look on youtube everyone has a video for the news. A lot of Americans are very happy.

I'm just meh. I don't give a damn one way or the other. I'm not a New Yorker and I know my history. So I kept my wits about myself this weekend.

In my opinion, it's not cool to celebrate the fact that you killed a human being. But people have celebrated killing each other since the "dawn of human existence," so it's not really that gruesome or backward or shocking.

What is scary is that people are celebrating his death as if he was the sole plotter -- he came up with the whole plan, and orchestrated everything from beginning to end? So his death means an end to...?

That's hardly ever the case. It's true that he is "the FACE of evil" -- people are happy he was killed because they can put a face on the destruction, on the horrible deeds which were done.

To celebrate his death is meaningless to me, and of course there are many people out there taking it too far... neutral

I was meh about it but not for the same reasons. But I dont blame people for the celebration. It's like Hitler you know there was more involved and there is still more involved even here in the united states. But you want to take out the most popular person giving hope to those looking to cause more harm. And yes it would possibly cause more and more problems. But it would put a stop to alot of plans. And the people celebrating see this as cutting the head off a hydra. We know more are coming but at least we stopped the monster some how.

I believe that people who are just too influential to cause groups and cultures of people to do something so radical like cause wars. Need to be put down at points if we cant at least lock them up. It was something that kind of had to be done. But people are going to go to far when they act on emotion towards villainousness people.

Ultimately nothing is done. If you think about they did their job and the terrorist actually won. People were scared and are still scared. I think this is just gonna make people feel safe again which is important i guess. And the whole celebration thing is kinda uncalled for especially when people are losing sponsors for speaking out against it.

Honestly this acheives nothing really. Either people are elated at the idea that it is over even though now we have to deal with the rise of someone else, or people who just don't trust the idea.

I mean who would really just dump the body off into the ocean? I found that rude and disrespectful.

Also, am I the only one who felt Osama was more valuable alive?
