Dhavlen was atop a rock. He had been lounging on it for most of the morning. Today there wasn't much for him to do. Normally when he was bored he would find someone to harass, but today there seemed to be no one around. To make it worst, it started to get hotter. Soon he would have to get off his rock and find some shade to cool down in. Today was going to be a horrible day for the lazy cheetah.

Leenah-Sesi was looking for a spot to make a den at. Mirie was still injured and could travel long distances. She had convinced him to allow her to carry him to the next den once she found a suitable location. She noticed that it was slowly getting hotter. It didn't affect her as much because she loved the sunlight. If anything it made her more cheerful.

There wasn't much around here, she noted. Over to the west there were some rocks. One towering over the rest. That could be a decent spot to put a den. Perhaps she could dig a hole near the rock and than use the rock as a lookout spot. She wagged her tail with delight. Mirie would be so proud of her find! She dashed toward the rock.

He was about to jump off the rock when he spotted a cheetah running toward him. She was very beautiful, he thought. Her fur seemed to be well kept and had a very distinguished purple tint. It had been some time since he had female company. He missed flirting and manipulating females. Perhaps he could toy with this girl.

Leenah slowed down as she ascended to the rock. She noticed a male cheetah watching her. He was smiling at her, so she knew he was friendly. It had been some time since she had seen a fellow cheetah. She smiled at him. "Hello there! Is this your rock?"

Dhavlen got up and stretched. Gracefully he jumped down from the giant rock and landed next to Leenah. He had a flirtatious smile on his face as he looked deep into her eyes. "Well I guess it would be considered my rock. I've been living here for a few days, but I'm planning on leaving soon. I wouldn't mind sharing the rock with such a beautiful young cheetah like yourself."

Leenah beamed at him. She was hoping that he would be willing to share with her and Mirie, but she was under the belief that it would take some convincing. "Thank you for being so generous! My name is Leenah-Sesi but you can call me Lee if you would like."

"Leenah-Sesi, such a beautiful name." He stepped closer to her and wrapped his tail around hers. She was younger than him, he could tell and so much more innocent. This would be fun. "My name is Dhavlen. Now why don't we work on making a den for us to sleep in tonight?" Ha! More like she would dig him a den so he could get a good night sleep tonight!

"Alright, but I need to go back and get my friend Mirie. We're traveling together." she explained. She hoped the wild dog would be okay with staying with another cheetah. He had shown signs of not trusting others, especially felines. Dhavlen was different though, Leenah could tell. Though she thought he had weird customs, especially wrapping his tail around hers. The only time she saw two felines wrap their tails like that was when they were in love.

Mirie? She must be another cheetah. Dhavlen laughed to himself. This was his lucky day! Two girls to play with. He thought about how he could 'play' with them. Leenah could dig him a den first than go off and get Mirie. Once they returned he would have them go hunting for him and bring him a nice dinner. After that… he smirked at the thought. Perhaps he could get them to bare him children. He had always wanted to have offsprings as handsome as him. It was a crime to not share his looks. Why not give the world more beautiful cheetahs? "Once we finished the den you can go get your friend Mirie."

"Sounds good." She pulled away her tail and started to dig a den. By now she had gotten used to digging dens. Mirie was still unable to dig for himself, so she had to do it herself. Dhavlen was next to her and was digging as well. He kept rubbing against her side gently. Leenah wasn't quite sure what he was doing but she didn't mind. She thought that perhaps he had been lonely being by himself and missed being near others. He laid his tail over her back and kept it there. "If you don't mind me asking where is the rest of your family?" She asked as she dug. Silence always annoyed her. The only time she was quiet was at night time.

Dhavlen had been enjoying himself until she asked this question. Leenah was a good digger, especially compared to him. He was only pretending to dig after all. His family? His screwed up family. He never talked about them because it always brought up bad memories. The truth was he wanted to share with someone, but it had to be the right person. He couldn't share his secrets with a cheetah he just met, especially since that cheetah was female. He cringed at the thought of relying on a female like that.

"My family left when I was young. I don't know them very well." He lied. An idea came to his mind. "Since they left I've been lonely. It isn't easy traveling by yourself, with no one to talk to and no one to love." He hoped she would pity him. This way she would stay with him longer and he could use her some more.

"When I was a cub I was separated from my family too. I traveled alone for a long time. However I found Mirie and everything changed. We are like family now." Leenah replied. She put her tail over him, to show that she understood him. "But I'm sill looking for my family. Maybe you can join Mirie and me and together we can help you find your family."

Dhavlen smiled gently. He tried to hide the fact that he was getting annoyed with her. It wasn't really her fault. "I don't really think my family wants me to find them. I was never really close to them." This was getting out of hand. Soon he would be confessing everything to this girl. He might as well tell her that he just wants to use her. He decided to change the subject instead. "I was wondering is there a special feline in your life?"

Leenah stopped digging for a moment and looked at Dhavlen in the eyes. Was he hitting on her? She looked away in embarrassment. "Well no. I haven't found the right one yet." She said as she went back to digging. When she was younger she had always dreamed about a handsome young cheetah sweeping her off her feet and loving her for the rest of their lives. Sadly she had yet to meet this cheetah and hoped to find him soon.

He could tell that she was the romantic type, which he happened to prefer. It would be hard to 'mold' himself into her perfect cheetah. Just a couple complements and she would be his. If his father was here he would be so proud of his son. "I once was in love. It was the happiest I had ever been. I loved her and treated her like the queen she was. Of course she just wanted to use me. Eventually she left be for another, one who was younger and stronger."

"Her lose right? I think you will find another cheetah who will like you for who you are." Leenah said as she stepped back from her whole. She took a moment to admire her work. It was a nice large hole big enough for the three of them to fit comfortably. "I will be right back. I need to go carry Marie here."

"Take your time." Dhavlen said as he went back to the top of his rock. The sun was beating down on him again. He watched as Leenah dashed away. He couldn't help but smile to himself. Today was his lucky day wasn't it?
