Welcome to one of Dragon-Bounds major roleplay events! This event will follow a world-changing plotline that could have significant repercussions on the world and those that participate. The world WILL change. Whether it will be for good or bad will depend on your actions. In a nutshell: It's all going to hell in a handbasket either way. ;D

Please note that since this is a major event that consequences will be real. Your character could be injured or even killed. Alternatively, this could be a good chance to move your dragon down some interesting paths. I encourage any dragon type to participate, including Blessed and squires. I recommend bringing your adult dragons, but younger ones will be allowed. Just remember the bit I said about consequences.

One last piece of advice. Don't be scared off by the previous paragraph. While I have a plot in mind it is very malleable and will change according to your actions. Don't be a passive observer - change the plot. Take action. Besides, moving targets are harder to hit. wink

With no further disclaimer, welcome to Treason.

Dragon-Bound: Treason - The Fae War

Where 'er do us folk turn to
When nature does part ways
Weather fickle toss and turn
And earth does open graves.

If curse be fae, unrest and tense
Then prayer we all must say
That it all be but right and quick
Lest we all be caught in its sway.

Lahmear, our Sun,
Marckius, our Night,
Ele'phill, our shinning Moon,
Protect us from these cursed fae,
And lead us all from doom.

((alright, time to get the next stage of the war started. If you don't have a definite place in the roleplay yet, work yourself in as needed. I will be controlling players on three sides so I've got a lot to keep track of... don't expect any more NPCs on my part. But let me know where you're at and I'll try and get a generic commander to drop orders your way. Should you chose to follow them is your decision. Let's get this rolling and see who shall wear the crown))

Prince Kocerou's army roused themselves early and with ferocity. Word had escaped that the scouts had not all returned and everyone feared the worst - if a scout had been captured, than it meant their location had possibly been compromised. Which meant that they were all in danger. Their numbers were not such that they could withstand a direct assault from the King's forces. They had to rely on tactics and controlling where the battle took place, and so when the army mustered it was with fear and haste. There was little time to spare to those that did not have a place already and the handful of outsiders were quickly forgotten and left to their own devices.

Kocerou was no different from the rest of his troops. He sat upon a war-horse of the fae, a massive horned beast with a three-toed hoof that was reminiscent of the dragon-fae. He wore armor and his circlet and was surrounded by his elite knights and standard bearer. Thorn was across his back.

The rest of the army milled about, forming up ranks and slowly, they trickled out of the ravine and created a loose line that would be able to move through the forest without losing sight of each other. A handful of advance scouts were sent forth and they quickly vanished ahead of the main force. The army was on the move.

A number of fae had been left behind as non-combatants. Kocerou had made it quietly known that Kier was to be among them. Otherwise, the ravine emptied of everyone capable of carrying a weapon.

----------------------------------

The King's army stirred slower as they had the advantage of numbers on their side. The King was content to let Kocerou's army come to him or wait until he had a location to attack. However, the army still readied itself as the commanders wished to move a bit further into dragon territory where they could meet up with the Dragon-Bound Knights easier. That was their only plan for the day. They formed up loosely, leaving behind the slower troops that would break camp and find the main force once they were ready to settle in for the rest of the day.

There was one specific errand that had to be run. The Queen sent word to Ira and Bullseye that they were to fly ahead and locate the Knights, and return with any word from their efforts.

------------------------------------------

Leverne was exhausted. Dealing with the strange armored fallen and two reborn was enough, but compelling Ruscar to tell him what he knew was even more exhausting. The fae had still not recovered his strength from his injury either. He sat outside in the morning sunlight, waiting for the knights to take matters into their own hands. He had told them what he found, that the Prince was using Timmir's Deep for their refuge. It worried him that the Prince had chosen that place. It held connections to the Blessed Path and Leverne feared that the Prince could invoke that old magic in some way. He was reckless enough to.

But then again, the King and Queen could counter with their own ties to the Blessed Path. And then there was no telling what would happen. Leverne hoped that this wasn't the case, or that the guardians to the Path were close by.

Lost in his thoughts, Leverne waited quietly for word to come from either the Knights or the King's force.

Rakura Lynn
Bullseye shook his whole body to see if the armor shifted at all and to scratch and itch, is mane now a flare he landed steadying himself looking at his bound.

Ira had a smile upon her face but her eyes showed that her mind was set upon the objective that was given. She walked up and tighten a leather strap that was just barely lose.
"You look good bullseye" patting his side as she checked the small supplies that they were carrying and then stepped back and hopped up in to the harness. Checking her footing, she looked around. "Alright Bullseye we must fly fast."

The one thing he enjoyed the most out of his situation was the fact he could chase the clouds now, it just felt right for him. He still rough at what was known about the Fae but he was learning to accept it. Shifting his shoulders he looked up in the sky, and in seconds they took flight.

Ira's knowledge of the Fae Territory guided them toward the lands that Bullseye was more familiar with, and where the head straight to looking for the knights, Then possibly find Target and continue on to help where they would be needed.

===================================
Rakura Lynn
Enduria wings were folded as she cast a glare at every one apart at the knight Headquarter, lets just say to the least of her surprise she was bound to end up here, but luckly for now they just know her as a reborn and not for her actions of theft, abuse, and killing when she felt like it. Right now her prize was the Reborn, she saved it's life she should be able to keep him. She wander around a bit and then found Leverne and she kept her distance.

"So are you done?" she asked rather firmly, as she was just wanted to continue to her own objectives with the reborn.

Kiddo Seanchain
"No," Leverne replied quietly, "I'll never be done, not so long as I'm a champion. But I do not think that is the answer to the question you were asking. In that regards, yes, for now I am done. You may not see the young reborn. He is resting."

Rakura Lynn
She leaned up against the rock wall listening to him. "How Deep is my reborn in this war he spoke of earlier, and how do you act or play the part of champion? If you don't mind filling me in a bit here." Enduria played with the fringe of her skirt with her toes the silk like material easily moveing across her scales.

Kiddo Seanchain
Leverne stared past her, his train of thought apparently very far away.

"He is deep enough that the King will have to render judgement upon him. But being reborn, the King cannot make a full claim on his loyalty. He will live. I am not certain I can say the same of the rest of Prince Kocerou's followers. As for how I act the champion... well, I protect the King. I fight in his stead and carry out his biding. I give my counsel if asked. And I carry the sword called Thorn, but that has been taken from me."

Leverne grimaced.

"I doubt I'll be champion for much longer because of that."

Rakura Lynn
"How Far will I be able to follow in his case? and who is Kocerou? Who is the King? and why does a tittle mean so much to you?" She tried to follow with little knowledge that she has of the situation, Though this Torn would be a nice collection already in her Treasure Den.

Kiddo Seanchain
"I would... suggest you not follow him any further than this. You are free to do as you will, of course, but to willingly walk into fae hands?" He shrugged lightly. "I cannot say what will happen. But know that we are creatures of whim and your life has very little value to those I serve."

"Kocerou is my Prince. He has demanded the throne out of turn and in doing so, turned against our King and committed treason. And titles..." Leverne sighed. "It is difficult to explain. Think of it like this: humans have two persons. One is who they are that they keep to themselves, and the other person is what they show to the world. So a man may be a farmer at one time and also something else inside. Fae do not have that division. We simply are. I am champion. If I lose that title, I do not know what I will be and that frightens me as much as death frightens your kind. I think that is why our King has held on to his crown for so long - he fears the loss of his self. But if Kocerou would just stop and think for a moment, maybe he'd realize that he's going to lose who he is too when he becomes King instead of Prince."

The fae sounded upset and it was clear he was more voicing his thoughts to himself than really trying to explain anything to Enduria.

Rakura Lynn
"If my life is worth so little, then why the concern for me if I do chose to continue?" she was silent about the rest of the conversation, losing who you are. "I believe I can relate some." was all that she voice as her tail rested along the wall.

Kiddo Seanchain
"Your life is worth little to some fae, but not all," Leverne corrected, "I'm one of the ones that would prefer not to see any more bloodshed come of all this. Besides. If the King decided to make an example out of anyone who would accompany a traitor, I'd be the one who would have to cut your pretty wings off. And I'd rather not do that. So please keep your distance."

Rakura Lynn
"And What of this King I still don't know who he is?" not liking or disliking what this fea has just told her. "What if he makes an example of the reborn, or even you? Hell I don't even know your names yet, and you manage to bring me to this pompous, politic, meat in metal and tabards." the human like emotions getting better over her confusion, and some sympathy for the Fea.

---------------------
Blade Kuroda
Silently, Blade and Astalder moved out with the rest of the group. Some thinking had been done, but it still wasn't an easy decision to make regarding what the Prince had told them. Should they be successful, it would definitely put things within Kocerou's favor but the concept still wasn't something easy to ask of the thief.

Just being a part of this big battle didn't quite sit well with him, but he wasn't about to run away either.

----

Back with the Knights, Warden and Jace were worn out as well. The armored Fallen was not an easy foe to take on and they were a little battered from their encounter. It was nothing too serious, but they were definitely weary from the whole experience. Once they were tended to, they awaited further orders.

=======================
Scarlet-Rose
Cho looked over at Aphrodite and said, "Lets go help, I may not know who will win or who will lose their life. Are you with me on this?"

Aphrodite replied, "I have decided this before when we where bound together. I am with you wherever you go."

Cho put on a light weight saddle on Aphrodite. Cho apologized saying, "It's just for a little bit."

Aphrodite nodded because she knew.

Cho climbed up on her back. With her violin and bow in her hand she played and sung,
"Protect us, oh winds that comes from the corners four,
Protect us, from arrow, magic, and sword,
Protect us, even though high we soar,
Protect us, that we maybe given victory to our core."

A circle of wind swirl about them as they take flight.

Location: Dragon Knights' Outpost
Active Players: Reborn Enduria, Ira/Bullseye, Champion Leverne, Reborn Ruscar, Commander Tumlar/Bantone, Squire Warden/Jace

After the scouting foray, the knights regrouped at the compound, leaving a few scouts still on patrol or guard duty and the rest to go over what activity they had seen or been part of. Stories were swapped and reports taken as Bantone made marks upon the central room's map, moved pins, and took notes with every bit of intelligence added to the mass.

Tumlar spent his time crossed between his own senses and that of his bound, listening in on the reports and strategies, while carrying on other work elsewhere. Most knew that with eve coming on, more eyes searching in futile darkness would only strain them and so took to the planning portion of their positions. He relieved Squire Warden and Jace from their attending duties until morning, making certain to inform them they were to rest up, get themselves checked out by one of the healers, tend to their armor, and still yet keep abreast of the situation as it unfolded.

The big find of the previous night had been the Reborns that had been brought in, one dark and one fae like. The fae-like one was under guard, tended to so much as to be able to get what needed when could be spoken to him... or her. Tumlar was not quite sure on that matter of gender.

No matter.

Now with the dawn upon them, the Dragon-Knights had begun their preparations to move out, plans in place to harass and stall the renegade fae group belonging to the prince, brake down the morale and scatter what support there was out there.

And there was the female-like Reborn and Leverne not far from the room the fae-one was contained in. He could hear their voices even before he had come around the corner - right after the 'pompous, politic, meat-in-metal and tabards' portion of the speech.

"Is the Reborn here being a problem?" Tumlar asked of Leverne before giving a wary eye from above to the darker-colored being. "I will not have trouble here in these hallways." Meaning her removal was very much an option from his side of things.

"Point proven by the Eavesdropper" She flicked her tail agitated as she silenced herself before giving any other reason to be removed, folding her arms looking off to the side not looking at the one that just walked in.

Bullseye spread his wings guiding them in for a soft landing, done naturally if he had his wings from day one, seeing some already. Few are still getting ready for what’s to come. ‘looks like we barely just made it.
Ira pressed her lips as she unlatch and hopped down from the dragon, with the clank of her beads in her hair, stretching her own wings out. ‘I’ll go ahead you wait here.’ Few steps forward looking towards one the knights in charge of watch.
“Excuse me Dragon… Knight?, where might I find who would be of charge? I have orders to report.” She asked unsure of the rankings of the Dragon and the bound that she just walked up to.

PostPosted: Thu May 05, 2011 8:25 pm

"Eavesdropper?" Leverne asked, "Nonsense. I heard him coming a long ways off. But no sir, this reborn is not a problem. You asked who I was, reborn, and I tell you that I am Leverne, Champion of the Silver Rose. It would take far more than a single reborn to inconvenience me."

The fae didn't try and hide the threat in his words and he stood, straightening the tunic that he wore over his armor as he did.

"If I'm not mistaken, I thought I saw a fairy dragon coming in to land. We should go see what news they bring. And you," he said, turning towards Enduria, "This would be a good moment to leave. Stay out of this. If you fail to heed my warning, than let it fall upon your own head. I'm done here."

----------------------------------------

Kocerou's commanders were circulating the strategy through the ranks as they marched. Since they were no longer able to wait in hiding and harry the King's troops (for the missing scouts and Kocerou's failed bid to appeal to the Blessed Path did not bode well), the smaller army would attempt to end the entire battle quickly by killing the King, for if the King died than loyalty of the fae would switch entirely to Kocerou. There was an area where the terrain grew difficult - clear of trees but rocky with sheer hillsides - and Kocerou hoped to reach it before the King did and use it to break up his army. If that happened, Kocerou could throw the bulk of his troops into a wedge that would split the King's army and give him and his elite a clear path to the King.

With this in mind, you are free to decide where best you would be suited in the army.

------------------------------------

Since the King has the advantage of numbers, he will use a pretty generic battle plan. Rank and file protecting a line of archers, heavy calvary on either flank. They will attempt to roll up both lines of Kocerou's smaller force and pin them in the middle and wipe them out. The Dragon-Knights will be used to intercept anything unexpected from Kocerou, as he is also at a disadvantage for fliers.

Warden and Jace had taken the chance to relax before they were to march out. The battle ahead no doubt was to be a large one so they were doing what they could to prepare once the day had come. As the bound made sure his weapons were in good order, both glanced up as a fae and her dragon had come approach them.

"Ah, come this way," Jace said before shooting a glance towards Warden. The dragon had eyed the fae a little warily, but said nothing of the matter. Both had heard one was coming to report, so they both began making their way to where the Commander was to be.

----

The day had come and now their little ragtag army was out to march. The two had their time to think and judging the way things were, killing the king would indeed be the best bet for their side. It wasn't something Blade was completely comfortable with.. but it seemed that doing so could prevent more deaths in the long run should they succeed.

Both dragon and thief moved near Kocerou, making their way to the rebel Prince.

"Where would the King be exactly?" he asked the Fae prince grimly. If they were going to be attempting this at all, they would need to know as much as they could.
PostPosted: Sat May 07, 2011 11:54 pm

The dragon knight added nothing to the champion's comments, content with what was said. Anything more seemed unnecessary - for the time in being. Tumlar's scrutinizing gaze went from the reckless reborn to fae knight.

"Yes. One coming in from the West at a quick clip. The watch tells me they are just touching upon ground," he confirmed. He was not able to nod at such things while already looking downward at the fae. He seemed distant for a moment, possibly speaking with his bound or any of the other knights, before continuing. "We shall meet out at the landing point to speak. There will be less noise there."

As Tumlar turned to depart, he gave one last look at the female reborn. "I second the fae champion's suggestion. I have no time for treachery," he snorted. His large multi-lidded eyes glanced in the direction of the captive fae reborn's room where a guard had been stationed. "If I find any action of yours challenging the safety of those here because of your... claim on the other reborn, his life will be forfeit."

After being ignored for call claims he will kill a king. Toft seemed to stick to the shadows once again just merely following the army as they ventured forth.
sides
They're none in his opinion.
Once the army settled at what looked to be where the confrontation would take place Toft took to higher grounds so he can watch the events of blood shed unfold.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Choices, was the one he chose the correct one.
'a promise that seems to have an never ending.'
' A now changed brother still missing.'
' War of Fea & Dragons.'
"Here I stand still unsure if this game is worth the fun."

Target thought to himself as he was in the fast calvary to aid in ground cover.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Her eyes followed as her head moved from Knight to Champion taking careful tho
ught as to what they were telling her.
"Treachery?" she slowly started in a low tone.
"Far as I am
concerned I've been more than fair letting you have your way with my Reborn with out any further complications, need I remind you."

Forgetting th
e Reborn maybe a treacherous action at her only proof of others existence.
"You wish for me to forget about the Reborn Fea Champion of the Silver Rose, Levern
e. Then give me a new purpose other than living as a twisted lonely creature." Tone challenging with seriousness curious as to what he would say. As her eyes search his wondering if what was said earlier would effect his answer.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once the pair pair started to lead his Bound he followed with enough room behind looking around 'didn't think I would be here with out ya brother, though be it I am never going to keep our promise now.'

'Focus Bullseye'
Ira was silent Keeping in mind where they were going while being on guard even with the distracted bound she currently has.

Bullseye folded his wings as he looked more closely at the two, noticing the red.
'Squires'

Ira took note of their rank though was mistaken earlier for possibly Knights, sill they are young Knights.

"The King will most likely be in the middle of the army, near the front," Kocerou replied, "Leading the charge. He'll be surrounded by his elite, but thankfully we shouldn't have Leverne to deal with so that'll make it easier. Do you have a plan, Astalder and Blade?"

----------------------------

Leverne briefly considered following, but decided against it. Someone had to keep an eye on this reborn, after all. So he stayed where he was to allow the fae dragon to come in on his own. The knights would involve him when he was needed.

"You really want to ask that of me?" Leverne asked, "Do you not know how the fae make deals? If I give you a new purpose than you will have to give me something of equal value in return. Can you?"

Getting into the middle of the army unnoticed was not going to be easy. Aside from having to get around those in front, they'd have to worry about the ones in the back spotting them as well.

"We're trying to come up with one. The Dragon Knights are involved too so we'll have to worry about them as well," Astalder said. He wasn't sure where they would be stationed, but it was probably a good idea to keep in mind that they may be near the King to help safeguard the guy.

"We might be able to essentially dive bomb him.. if we can stay unnoticed way above them," Blade added while looking up towards the sky to check how cloudy it was. With the way things were, the may have to take a rather roundabout route and come in from behind to help avoid unseen. Most eyes would likely be towards the front was his guess.

----

Warden and Jace continued to lead the other pair until Tumlar had come into view. Making their way closer, the dragon said, "The Fae has arrived and wished to speak with you, Commander."
PostPosted: Tue May 10, 2011 8:21 pm

"In a time of war your concern is briefly noted by the air, reborn. My words hold."

Light from the lamps lining the wide inner halls and ceilings flickered dully off the dragon's armor as he stood there, face emotionless while glancing behind him, not toward the reborn but toward the fae. Seeing that the fae was having second thoughts about the fussing stranger, the meeting with the incoming fae dragon would now be without the related champion. It was all very well. He had no wish to terry with the ilk when there were more important matters to see to.

Once outside, first stepping on the path at the gate, Tumlar saw the squire close in over ground with the new arrival not far behind. "Thank you, squire. Stay in attendance," he directed as he continued forward until close enough to inspect the new fae dragon.

"I am Dragon Knight Tumlar, head of the encampment here. To whom do I owe this visit and what word do you bring?" he asked following procedure and protocol.
