Gintare
She had been in one place for far too long, Gintare thought to herself. The lands near the Ukuucha'Wafalme pride had lost their savor and their interest for her, at least for the time being. She had had her fill of headstrong young pesars out to prove themselves to their pride by subjugating some moronic female who didn't know any better than to come back to be a second-class citizen. Oh, there was fun to be had with them, particularly when it came to teaching them the finer points of pleasing a lioness, but even that grew tiresome. Tare was ready for something more, something new. And if something new just happened to come in the form of a well-built lion who actually knew what he was doing, rather than just sporting stamina and enthusiasm, so much the better.

Thus it was that the dark brown lioness with the eyes colored like amber set off in an entirely new direction. She did not know that she was making her way to the coast until she smelled salt in the air, but when she realized that she had come to this part of the land she found herself overcome with curiosity. She had heard of some of the prides in this area from other rogues who traveled these parts, and now she would maybe have a chance to meet them, and possibly get to know them very well indeed. In some ways her mind had never really matured past adolescence and so thoughts of sex were never far.

Pirato
He had met many females the past few weeks. The females had seemed to enjoy his company, and it was beginning to give him a big head. He had always known he was hot stuff, but now he had the females behind him to prove it. He wasnt sure what it was about him others liked, though he assumed it was his ruffian type ways. He smiled at that, chuckling, and kicking a good footfull of sand out to the ocean. Watching it sink to the bottom, he walked to the water. He placed his paws in the water, and took a deep breath inhaling the deep ocean air. Nothing was better, of that he was sure. Dax had taken to soaring the skies for the time being. He'd be back when he wanted his own piece of fruit from his large red companion. He smoothed his feather back, yawning and opening his eyes again.

"Nothing like the ocean.."He whispered.

Gintare
Gintare heard the ocean long before she saw it, though long after she first began to smell its salty air. She had followed the deep, rumbling sound of the waves' motion unconsciously, making her way through a foully squelchy estuary until she came to a place where her paws were once more on a familiar surface, sand, which was made unfamiliar by its wetness. She was accustomed to desert sand, and this stuff on the beach was alien to her. Alien and fascinating.

It was not nearly so fascinating as the water, however, and it was the enormous body of water which drew her attention in this instant. Even thoughts of virile males had left her mind when she first saw this endless expanse of saltwater. It was like another continent, but liquid rather than land. She stared at it, entranced by the strange sight.

"So this is it," she murmured. "Small wonder no one has ever described it very well."

Pirato
He flicked an ear, having heard someone approach. Normally he didnt care, but today was one of his sober days. He was on the lookout for recruits, and he'd realized he couldnt do that drunk. It had saddened him at first, but he had gotten over it rather quickly.

He was good with females, and he was potent, or so he liked to think. Females wanted potent males, and if he wasnt potent, he made up for it in knowledge of females. He was good at pleasing them, he supposed that was why they kept coming back. Salt water crusted to his mane, making it look stiff, and starched. He shook it out, hoping to fluff it up, but it was perpetually that way. He had grown rather used to it, even if he wished that sometimes he had a billowy soft mane. No, his exposure and love for the sea would never have him leave the vast mass of water.

He turned his head, looking at her with ruby gleaming eyes. He wasnt sure if she had spotted him, but he stood out rather alot. His red pelt that of a brutal death, the whites of himstark against the cream sand. He grinned, his fangs sharp, but one canine rather chipped.

He stepped from the water, taking a few steps towards her before stopping. Usually he had no qualms approaching females, but today.. he was lacking his liquid courage.

Gintare
In truth, Gintare had not quite managed not to notice Pirato's presence in the water, but for the time being she had decided not to pay him any mind. She was more interested in experiencing something new. The male in the water was a new person, but ultimately he would not differ too much from the other males she had known, she suspected. The sea before her, however, was new, and she was going to have her fill of it before granting the emerging male any of her attention.

Unless he did something to draw her attention, like approach her or speak to her. Gintare had no difficulty being rude to people if it suited her purposes, but she was in a strange land, unfamiliar territory, and she did not know which of the coastal prides he belonged to, if any. She had heard of three. In one the lions and lionesses had actually evolved thicker, curlier fur from their generations of contact with the sea. In another the lions were supposed to be large and fierce. The third she knew less of, simply that it was not the other two.

Out of the corner of her eyes she appraised the dark red lion. He didn't seem abnormally large, so probably he was not one of the ferocious ones, and while his mane certainly looked unusual, it did not look curly. Likely he was of the third pride, then. She resolved to ignore him once more.

Pirato
He snorted when she blatantly looked hte other direction, but he couldnt blame her. The ocean was far more fascinating then anything he had ever seen. He looked at her once more, and then took a few steps closer. He hated making the first move, but still he sauntered over with a sway in his step. Grinning from ear to ear, he flicked his forelock back so that it wouldnt be in his eyes any longer. Smoothing back his feather, he cleared his throat.

"What is a lass like you, doin' all the way out 'ere?" He asked. He was not of the Stormborn, nor was he of the other pride with the thick curling pelts. No, he was simply him, and his pride of lions was no special group except for their skills at theivery.

Gintare
It seemed she was not to be left to her own devices. Gintare was not surprised by this, and probably would have been very disappointed if the lion had gone about his business without paying her any heed. Ever since she was a very young adolescent males had found her attractive and she had learned to use their attraction to her advantage. She enjoyed their attention and their infatuation and she basked in their interest, taking it as no less than she deserved, her rightful due.

"I had heard stories," she said without taking her eyes from the water.

She understood what she was being asked, even though the lion's speech patterns were different than she was used to. A rogue lioness, Tare was accustomed to hearing different dialects and accents, and given very little time she would be able to replicate them. Oh, she wouldn't pass for a native, but she could at least stand out a little less as a stranger and a foreigner. It was the only smart thing a lioness like her could do.

"When I grew tired of where I was, I came to see if they were true. Somehow I did not expect this."

Pirato
He believed her, as that had been his first reaction upon seeing the sea. He had never left it though, and he never would. The sea was his mistress, and no other female could ever take him away from it.

He nodded, looking out towards the ocean. With a gleam in his eye, he turned to look back at her. The call of the birds of the sea were loud, and they were only matched by the lapping of the waves themselves.

"The stories of the sea, are never wrong." He purred.

"It will entrance ye, and leave ye breathless. Soon ye grow to love it as if it were ye tail." He said with a nod. He hadnt really ever been bad with female attention.. But he certainly was no don juan. He was usually perverse, and most ladies didnt actually find him all that impressive. But the ones with a bit of rogue in them? THe ones with fire, and the ones that were worth going after? They usually did.

Gintare
"Is that so?" Gintare asked, finally tearing her gaze away from the water to give the lion her full attention.

Her mouth quirked into a smirk as she asked her question. There was something about the way he'd said it, the tone he had used, which made her thing that if she asked him the right way she would be able to convince him to share some of those stories with her. And, in fact, she was proven correct as he went on to speak of how the sea could effect a person, though she didn't know that she would ever come to love the sea as though it was a part of her body. She really loved her body.

"You seem to know a lot about it," she said, giving him a very thorough once-over. She wasn't sure how she felt about the way his mane stood out stiff in some places, but she was willing to bet it had something to do with his time in the water. Perhaps it was the brine in the water which made it do that. She could certainly smell the salt. She just didn't know much about what it would do.

"Why don't you dry off a bit and tell me more?"

Pirato
He lay on his belly, flinging himself onto his back so that his belly was exposed to the oh so warm sun. This was his favorite position, and when lying out to dry, this was how he did it. He swore it dried him off that way. With a smile, and a wink at her, he nodded.

"Lived by the sea all my life. Its as dangerous an' deadly as any lion or animal could be. But it be as seductive, and .. it be ye mistress after a'while." He said, red eyes looking into her own orbs. His eyes always took on such genuine care when speaking of the water. So it was a good topic as it hid alot of his womanizing side. He was able to look kind and thoughtful. Honest and maybe a bit entrancing.. At least today he wasnt just 'the drunk.'

"What would ye like to know, love? I've got a whole trove of stories from my little treasure chest. I could fill your head with stories of every type." He responded and nodded.

Gintare
Gintare watched the deep red lion throw himself to the sand so that his stomach was exposed. It took either a great deal of confidence or a great deal of stupidity, she thought, to fling oneself about like that without regard for who might decide to take advantage of him. Of course, that probably depended on what kind of advantage people tried to take. She did not think that if she tried to take advantage of him in any sort of amorous way he would mind too terribly.

As her thoughts drifted that way her amber-eyed gaze flickered quickly down his stomach toward his hindquarters, where she could get a look at his package. Not that size actually made a difference, her years of experience had taught her. Experience was what made the difference. But she was undeniably curious.

When he started speaking her eyes snapped back to his. Seduction and mistresses, was it? Well, that sounded promising. As promising as what she had espied in her illit glance. She sidled closer and stretched out in a less compromising position alongside of the salty lion.

"Tell me what it is that attracts you to the sea," she purred.

Pirato
He felt the sun warming his belly, and he gave a lazy, content smile with a small purr. He had his eyes closed just for a moment, but when he opened them, he caught the downward gaze that had jolted back up with his voice. He smiled again, only this time it was a knowing smile. They both likely had the same things in mind.. The pirate always wanted a good time, and this female looked as if she knew what she was doing. Oh that only made him writhe more in anticipation.

"What attracts me to the sea? What attracted you to the sea? Its power, its lulling lullabye. Mysterious and deadly, it be something I dont think I could live without. Not that I will e'er be tryin', mind ye." He snorted with a grin. Winking at her, he rolled over onto his belly so that he could be eye to eye with her. Her amber eyes glittered, and he made sure to put all the promise in the world behind his own eyes.

"There is nothing like mating in the sea. The water lapping over ye paws, its almos' like its part of the loving."

Gintare
Tare's mind wandered a little as he spoke and it occurred to her that she didn't even know the name of the lion she was speaking to. It didn't matter to her, really, and she had certainly been with lions in the past without knowing anything about them. Still, she was a curious creature, though she was less curious about his name and more curious about the promises his eyes held.

"I just wanted to try something new," Tare said. "I am always interested in new things."

She rolled her shoulders and the fur along her body twitched. It wasn't so much a reaction to Pirato's attempt at seduction as it was to the sand she lay on. For all that she was accustomed to sand, she was not accustomed to this kind of sand and its coarse graininess was irritating her a little. She would definitely welcome water as a change over beach sand. Besides, her luck had always been good when it came to mixing sex and water.

"I've some experience with water, though nothing on this scale. I bet the waves make it dangerous." Her expression said she wouldn't be opposed to a little danger of this sort.

Pirato
When she mentioned the water making it dangerous, he noted the tone in her voice. It made his loins begin growing warm and he stood. If she wanted something new, he was sure she'd never been with a pirate before. Grinning, he stood from his position. He watched the thoughts go through her mind, and then chuckled.

"A temptress ye be.. I can show ye the water. A little danger makes everything fun." He grinned, pushing his chest into her leg, before pulling away to head in the direction of the waves. With a nod of his head, he beckoned her to follow.

"Come, my mermaid. Let me show ye a few differen' things of me own."
