Elam stretched and walked slowly through the desert he left his eyes peeled. The white male had left his two banu at home in hopes that he could find one more. Elam thought that he would be content with just his two banu back home they got along well enough but his den didn't feel full enough and Elam did have it in his head that it would be important for him to have many offspring his father wouldn't be proud of him otherwise.

It was with all these thoughts that Elam looked across the desert keeping his eyes peeled for someone that might be interested in coming home with him, someone who could make his litte family complete. Elam wasn't sure what he was looking for in the banu that he was looking for, he wanted to make sure that she would fit in, he didn't want any ruffled fur. Right now both his Banu where calm quiet females, Moema needed a litle more care then Lu but Elam didn't mind. Spotting a water hole Elam made his way to it quickly he figured he would be able to find others around water quicker then wondering the desert aimlessly.

Plain and simple, Eos had gotten herself lost. It started out as an easy adventure, so she had thought. She would never have ventured into the desert if she had known how easy it would be to get lost, after a certain point everything just looked the same- especially once she was distracted by the discovery of a waterhole. Once she got a drink and marveled at the small patch of life in the midst of an otherwise dry and monotonous area.. she had completely lost track of which direction she had come from.

She was sitting quietly by the water's edge as Elam approached, oblivious to his presence as she pondered the best way to go.

Elam smiled that his plan had worked as he approached the watering whole he spotted the lioness. With a new eagerness he quickened his step not really thinking that he might startle the lioness who sat at the waters edge. He made it quite close to her and she didn't seem to notice is presence he paused for a moment and decided it was best to great her before making it to her side.

"Hello there" he said in a slow kind voice. Elam never thought of himself as intimidating or frightening but he had heard stories of rogues that were feirce and didn't interact well with others and he didn't want to make it home to Lu and Moema with scares on his face looking a great mess. He waited a little on edge for her response hoping it would go in his favor.

Staring off in the distance, the first thing that tipped her off to the lion that joined her by the water was his voice- and she nearly jumped out of her fur. She looked over at him and relaxed, smiling at him. Startling was hardly worth getting upset over.

"Oh! Hi! I didn't notice you there," she breathed, glancing around. How long had he been there? She hadn't been paying much attention, she must look so silly!

Elam laughed a little when the lioness jumped but it was a good natured chuckle. "I am sorry to have startled you." he said when his chuckles died away. He hoped that she wouldn't take his chuckle the wrong way and that he hadn't perhaps already hurt and chance he had with talking to her.

"My name is Elam" he told her. He looked the female over in a way that he assumed his father had taught him to do, he shook his head slightly realizing what he was doing. Elam was not his father and he never would be. He liked to think instead that he took after his mother and grandfather. He wasn't sure what else to asy to her as he didn't want to dive right into the story of his pride and what he was looking for instead he sat back and waited to see what she would say to him.

"I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention," she returned, not all that worried about being startled. She smiled on at him, even despite the chuckle- she knew it was silly of her. He sounded nice, she wasn't in any trouble based on a primary assessment of the situation. But even that barely crossed her mind, maybe it would have if she felt any reason to be wary.

"My name is Eos," she said, "It's nice to meet you, Elam! Do you come here often? I mean, I don't even really know where I am."

She added the last justifying statement on in a hurry, realizing it was even sillier a question she had asked him. Maybe this was part of his home, for all she knew, it could be- that was all she meant.

Elam offered the female a kind smile even if she hadn't been paying attention he didn't like having startled her. "Eos what a pretty name, its not like one that I have heard before." he told her. His home land was filled with so many different names a result of many coming into the pride he assumed but Eos was one that had never passed his ears before.

Elam looked aroudn himself, "I can honestly say I don't think I have been here before." he told her. "As a result of my pride I havee travelled a great deal but here is a place I have never come to. But I am sure glad I happened upon here today as I have been able to meet you." he sat down now showing that he wanted to talk to the female longer.

"Tell me more about yourself Eos, are you from a pride, do you travel, have you any family." He knew that he had just thrown a lot of questions at the poor female all at once but it was things he had to know... he had to find out more about her, perhaps she was a potential for his harem.

Her smile widened at the nice comment he made about her name, she liked to think it was special. Already he seemed to have won her over, he seemed like a nice lion.

"Oh! Well, I'm glad too," she said with a giggle, moving over a bit to indicate he was welcome to sit close- though she turned herself so she had a better look at him while they chatted. His fur was some very pretty colors, and his legs had very interesting markings.

"I'm not from a pride, or I suppose I'd know where I was now," Eos answered the first question thoughtfully, though reconsidered her idea that she'd know where she was if she was a member of a pride since he mentioned he traveled a lot because of his pride, "I mostly wander around, I'd say it's not that strange that I'm lost like now. I haven't seen any of my family for a long time, they're not much of a conversation topic."

She seemed happy to answer his questions and while she didn't ask him in return, she looked at him expectantly. Would he reveal more about himself now?

Elam listened carefully to what the female said nodding along as she spoke, he noticed her moving and sitting closer to him he too moved in a little carefully keeping a little distance between them. "No pride, no family... I couldn't do it" he said shaking his head a little. "I need to much contact for that, though I have spent a fair amount of time on my own out in the rogue lands, but I am usually out here to find someone."

Elam shifted his feet a little nervously he was always a little hesitant when he had to tell females from outside the pride about the way he lived, he had heard from others that it wasn't considered normal. "My pride is very big on family." he told her trying to lead in easily. "My family is very large." he was trying to find a careful footing around what he had to say but realize there wasn't much else he could say without being obvious. "My father well, he has four banu, myself I have three right now." he looked up at the lioness wondering if he was making himself clear... would she know what banu were?

"Of course cubs are very important as well. Even though my mother was young when she had me but she still had a big litter." he was rambling a little now he was nervous, and he hadn't even asked if she would want to join him. She was a beautiful lioness and her temperament seemed just right she would fit right in with the rest in the harem.

Eos stared at him, ever smiling, even when he started using a words she didn't understand and jumped into a topic she didn't quite follow the leap around- maybe it would have made more sense if she knew what the word banu meant. Why would you want four of them? And what did that have to do with family and cubs??

Most importantly, why did he look so upset all of a sudden?

"What's wrong? I think that all sounds wonderful!" she said brightly, deciding to just go with it, not wanting him to look so nervous. He hadn't said anything she could take offense to, there was no problem being agreeable.
