He was out again. If Billy woke up and knew, he wasn’t sure. Slipping out every once in a while, when he didn’t feel like taking another dose to help him sleep, was something he just felt was necessary. Was he afraid? Yes. The dark was sharper, more real with all it’s possibilities for death or even worse. Did he wish for company? Yes and no. It was always yes and no. Yes, he wanted security. No, he didn’t need to wind up failing them. At this moment, he was better off thinking Billy was sleeping in their bed, and everyone else was snug in their own homes. No one was rotting in a cell. No one was slowly drawing their last breath. No one was howling and barking and shouting in pain for help that wouldn’t come. They were snoring, and each time he closed his eyes, he pictured a face in some imagined expression of dreamless sleep.
Even wishing for the best was harder now.
Standing in a playground called Sunny Acres, Wolframite took a breather. The last civilian had been messy. Too messy, and he used the local fountain to wash his hands free of blood and tissue. Blood spatter speckled his uniform, and the cuffs of his hands were soaked. Frowning, he looked at his bandaged hand. Uniform or not, he still had his wounds. The left side of his neck and ear were still angry red and blistered, and left hand was still set in bandages and finger splints. At least his very modest uniform covered the bandages and other wounds on his body.

Hug-bell was out looking for a certain cat. She was curious. After the attack on the school she was trying to be careful, she wanted to know what was going on though. Attacks in broad daylight? On a school? That seemed to worry the Chibi Senshi of Comfort. Hug-Bell had to find out what was going on, she hadn't heard of the Blood Moon Court and what they'd done, she was still clueless to mass death her fellow senshi had caused.
Unaware of the danger they had created, the yellow suited girl was moving through a playground, one called Sunny Acres, when she felt the tug of dark energy. She paused, frowning this was not good, tiny feet shifted. If it wasn't Scheelite, Zink, or maybe Alkaid she had a feeling she might be in trouble. She stood there Barnaby held tight waiting to see who it was. Frozen in place the chibi senshi tried not to look worried; this wasn't like the attack on the school there wasn't other children around to protect. It was just Hug-Bell and whoever the negaverser was.

He sensed the senshi approached, and stopped. His midsection pressed on the button to the fountain to keep the water flowing and he made no move. Yet. He was getting a sense of where it was. Behind him…never good….to the right. He had yet to run into a senshi. Had yet to bother with one, and he felt a panic race through him and a flushing of anger. To be afraid of what you hated and hating that fear. What if it was one of them? One of those faces that entered his cell countless time. Who robbed him of so much in what seemed like an eternity.
Stepping way from the fountain, he wiped his hands off on his jacket and then looked out into the darkness. Even a playground had street lamps, and the bright uniform of a small figure wasn’t hard to notice. At first, he thought there was a civilian. A child shorter than he was just standing there. Unsupervised. Then he knew that the signature was coming from that small shape.
Confused, he started to step forward, on alert in case he heard an attack. He’d jump, and then he’d kill this incredibly short senshi.
Right now, he wanted to make sure he was looking at one and not a civilian. Not that it would save the child, but if it wasn’t a senshi, he didn’t want a surprise attack from somewhere else. “Who are you?” He called out, demanding an answer.

Hug-bell watched, he seemed as afraid of her as she was of him. That wasn't right was it? She paused frowning softly, pondering an answer to his question, it was an easy question to answer. Just she wasn't sure if she wanted to answer it one way or another.
That was the problem with the negaverse sometime. She swallowed, "I'm a friend." She said hoping that answer would suffice and hopefully set him off edge.

If it was a civilian, he would have been told to '******** off!' or given some confused reply as to who was talking to them. Even a child, who could also tell him to screw off, would at least say something rather normal. The energy signature and the fact she was presenting herself as a friend sent alarms, and he summoned his weapon quickly as he started to move in. Heels crushed the mulch under his shoes as he walked quickly with determination towards her, ready to spring up if anything was thrown his way. A straight shot at a senshi was completely stupid, but he wanted to see what this 'friend' was.
When he got close enough for the mixture of street light at their back s and the shadows of night to adjust, he focused on a little girl. A bear hoodie that was in all ways adorable, with baby-blue bows and a mellow yellow. She held a small stuffed animal, though even stuffed animals could be dangerous. He watched Serandite enough to know that.
While her outfit, on a child, looked natural, the energy from her also said it was another fuku. THIS was a senshi. This small, young, child was a senshi. A mixture of disgust passed through him at the very idea that the senshi were created this young and expected to walk the streets, but then a flickering anger followed. Not only at the senshi seeming to want to have children, a action the Negaverse NEVER did which only highlighted their degree of respect and nobility, but to expect a child to kill?
They saw no age before. No age. Remember what she said when she killed Dioptase?
If they had no regard to kill, they had no regard for creating at a age. If anything, she was to be a killer. Recruit early to let them get an edge at any cost. She would grow up.
He stood there, a flicker of surprise before it passed into a settled calm. It was still shocking, but his anger was processing to fit in it's place in this new situation.
"You're a child." He set the facts down. "...and a senshi." There was no way he could see that she was just a very underdeveloped teenager.

Hug-bell's butter yellow eyes watched as the Negaverse agent ran towards her. To say she was scare might have been an understatement, as she felt her knees tremble. Was he going to hurt her? It didn't take long for him to stop though, and looked confused.
She nodded, "Yes... I suppose I am." She said to Wolframite bit trying to sound brave. "... and your a... Negaverse agent?" She asked tilting her head at his uniform trying not to stare at wounds.
"I like your outfit." She offered as a compliment and a soft smile. As she stood there, hoping he would take it as such. Hug-bell didn't know what Wolframite had been through neither did she know of the Blood Moon Court. Perhaps if she had she wouldn't be out looking for people she knew at this time of night. Granted it wasn't super early in the morning either, her feet shifted softly. "Do you like the park?" She asked hoping that she could actually make friends with him like she had with Zink and Schee.

She knew what he was, yet she wasn’t running. She made no movement to protect herself and no back step to gain some distance. He very much doubted she was cocky enough in her own abilities to stand her ground. Despite knowing what he was, he would have to think someone informed her to stay away from the Negaverse, but it seemed that the unknown charge not only failed to be by her side now, but to warn her.
She isn’t afraid.
That there bothered him, and he gritted his teeth. Even children do not mind you. He glanced back at the playground, gripping his chain until they went white and then they relaxed. The weapon was dismissed. “I don’t like the park.” When he was small, the park was filled with other children who would target him and push him to some blind spot under the slide or beside the fence to the basketball court to poke and prode out of the gaze of their parents who only thought that children were sweet, innocent creatures who would NEVER do such a thing. “I hate the park.”
Turning, he stepped over and knelt down, looking her over. “…I like your outfit, too.” He reached out, touching the pleats to her frilled skirt. It was probably one of the better looking fukus. His hand moved, touching a power-blue bow. By whatever magic these clothes were created, he admired the stitching. Seamless. Perfect. Almost invisible. His hand moved up to touch one bear ear, smiling softly. He liked the hood. It was cute. He wondered if he could salvage it afterwards.
“Who takes care of you? What did they tell you about the Negaverse?” He asked, softly as he cradled her crown as he looked at the ear of her bear cap.

Hug-Bell's eyes closed for a second as the captain was inspecting her Fuku. However, they opened when it seemed like he wasn't going to hurt her. "I'm sorry you hate the park..." She said softly with a frown, "They're always so pretty."
She paused, "My parent's don't know anything about the Negaverse." She said after a second, "But I know that my friends believe all of you are bad..."
She shook her head, "I don't believe all of you are bad though, I mean I know some of you steal energy, I guess that's what that is... Or starseeds." She looked at him softly, "But I think you all just need friends."
Her eyes were watching his hands the best she could. She nodded to accent her belief, she didn't mention knowing Scheelite or Zink or Alkaid; she wasn't sure if she should. She wasn't even sure if he wouldn't hurt her, he was different then the three of them. She paused, thinking, "C-can I ask... what happened?" She gestured to what she could see of his ear hoping she didn't make him mad in asking.

Of course. Why tell a child the real story. It was simple enough to understand why the other senshi would tell her one thing and not others. It all worked with recruiting them this early. So early. She was brainwashed, and because of her mislead guidance, she was set up to either be killed or turn into a killer. She would grow up and she would murder his friends. It was best to rid the problem here and now.
Touching his ear, he thought a moment, before he looked back at her. “Well, your friends put me in a little room and decided to play a game. One of your friends set me on fire. Do you know what a oven feels like? Did your mother or father tell you never to touch a candle? I’m sure they did. Well, this is what it looked like if you catch on fire.” Not that she would need to know that lesson. “And that’s not all. They took my friends and beat them over and over and over again. They broke their bones and fingers and limbs, and they didn’t give them anything to eat or drink. Then, they killed my good friends.” He smiled softly at her. “….so we’re not all bad. Your friends on the other hand….well, they are the type to kick puppies.”
He showed his bandaged hand to her. “They broke my hand. One of them took my eye.” He pointed to the eyepatch. “Your friends are not good people. They’re bullies. Do you know what bullies are?”

Hug-bell's eyes widened as she listened, taking a step back. Something seemed to shatter, "T-they did that?" She paused who would do such a thing, "They're not my friends if they're that mean."
She knew very well what bullies were, and that's not what senshi were suppose to be to the child, "They're not suppose to be mean." She whimpered "We're suppose to-to help people, to show peace and love, not k-kill people."
Who had done that? She wondered, trying to see if recalled a name, but none would come. Her feet shifted, she looked worried, if they did that to him what would they do to the others? She suddenly grabbed him in a hug, Barnaby at his side. "I'm sorry they did that..." She remembered someone being mean to almost-cosmos in Elysion, it seemed such a long time ago, but if they could be mean to their own kind, Hug-bell had no doubt the captain was telling the truth.

She ate his words as full fact, and in this case, it was. The evidence of their deeds was apparent all of his face and body. Yet, if he told her anything else, she probably would still be inclined to believe him. She easily took the information as nothing but truth which probably explained why she was created early. She did not distrust others.
When she hugged him, he was left frozen, the feeling of her energy pressing uncomfortably against his, but her small, tiny body clinging to him in all the desperation to comfort someone else. It was sweet, and for a moment, he gently set his hands at her back.
Eyes open, he breathed deep, fighting the bile rising in the back of his throat. She was sweet. Too sweet, but she was too easy to mold. She would grow and kill. Remember, they didn't care for age back then. Age saves no one. They said that. They didn't care. They had shown no mercy and, if there had been a Negaverse child running about, they would kill it just as easily as anything else. While he wished to show her mercy, he knew that if he was ever to rise to the bar that was now set, there could not be exceptions.
He gave her a squeeze as he came to this conclusion. A guilty goodbye. "What's your name?"

She let go after a few moments, frowning. He had wounds, he was hurt, why wouldn't she believe him? She knew bullies existed, and she didn't doubt either side was free of them.
She held Barnaby close to her, "Hug-bell." She replied after a second giving a soft curtsy. "What's yours?"
Waiting for him to answer she was pacing a bit, "I can't believe they'd be so mean. They shouldn't be big old bullies, that's not what peace and love is." She looked back at him, "Who was it?" She asked after a second "Do you know any names?"
She'd ask ********* when she found her, with ********* help they could get to the bottom of this, she was sure of it. She didn't like bullies that picked on others. Even if she let herself get picked on, she didn't mind, she frowned, "Maybe I can talk to them, set things straight?" There seemed to be moisture in her eyes, sadness that a Senshi would do such a thing.

Her misting, large eyes didn’t go unanswered to Wolframite’s heart, but it was just another obstacle. These were the things he had to overcome. She might be tearing up, but he only had to close his eyes to imagine one of many deaths by a senshi that came too easily to his mind. Then, eyes open, he resumed with his feelings of uncaring. All he had to do was remind himself that she would grow up, more experienced and well-trained than many others due to her early initiation, and would come to kill many of those on his side. A baby lion, while cute, could become a maneater if given the time. He would not give her that time.
“My name is Wolframite. It’s nice to know your name, Hugbell. I will need it later when I tell your friends that I met you.” That way, he could make it clear who exactly he killed. “…I do not know their names because they were cowards. They gave me nothing. They only took. They didn’t fight face to face like the others. The hide away in a cell with us.” She didn’t need to know all the details. It wouldn’t matter in the end.
Rising, he looked at his bandaged hand and then at the little senshi. A weapon, for now, would not be needed. “They won’t listen to you, Hugbell. You are just a little kid. They will just lie to you like they will lie about many things, but I will tell you something. They did tell you a few things that are right. We do take energy. We also take starseeds. Do you know what happens when a starseed it taken? You die.” He leaned in a bit. “Now I’m going to give you something the senshi never gave me. You have two choices. You can stand here and fight, because wearing your pretty little dress and walking alone at night says that you want to fight.” He smiled and patted the head of the little bear in her arms. “….or you stay still, and I’ll take your starseed.” He looked up at her, a brilliant green eye looking straight at her. “…because to protect my friends, for the love I feel for them and to have peace, I must kill you.” He'd say it wasn't personal, but now, everything was.

Wolframite, that was a fun name, "Do you like wolves?" She asked curiously since that's what the name reminded her of. The more he talked the more he was frighting her. She paused as he said they wouldn't listen to her, they might not but she knew enough senshi that they probably would listen to.
She frowned, watching him his eye looking into hers. She backed away as he started talking, she was given a choice. She squeaked listening, nope staying still was a bad idea. Dying was also a bad idea.
"You're just as big of a bully as they are!" She took another door, she started running. Forgetting that she'd seen Scheelite teleport, not sure if Wolframite could do it. She didn't want to fight him, she wasn't like them, she would protect herself if he attacked her.

He watched her run into the dark, hearing her footfalls on the asphalt as she raced away. "It takes one to kill one!" He called out, and summoned his weapon. He started to run, longer legs letting his race behind her. Narrowing his eyes, he threw the weapon at her legs, hoping to grab those small little legs of her and send her falling down to the ground. It wasn't really a fight, but he gave her that chance - something that was more than they were ever given.
