So, today my director told us that we won't be plaing at graduation.
I'm kinda depressed about it. As much as pomp and circumstance annoys me, I'm gonna miss it. This was my last year to play it. I don't know when I'll be able to play it again =/
Anyone else have this happen?

Last year was my band's first time to play "Pomp and Circumstance" in I don't know how many years. Last year was my first and only time that I get to play it. I graduate this year.

You can come and learn my schools graduation piece it's not "Pomp and Circumstances" it's quite a bit worse T.T, or you can come and learn trombone and take my place for us playing in the community colleges graduation where we are playing "Pomp and Circumstances"
Either one you can take or both if you want, I really don't want to do two graduations D :

Oh no! I play that with the band every year. That sucks. Even if people don't like the song, it's just what you should play at grad sad

They're quite long. You guys get to have it easy. While the only thing you two've got to worry about is busting your lips wide open, I have to worry about not passing out on my way to get my diploma!!! My stomach's gonna be in knots that day!!! The horror already!!

I actually didn't have to play at graduation two years ago. I had to go regardless, since my boyfriend and my sister were graduating.
Now that I am graduating, though, I think I'd rather be playing "Pomp and Circumstance" with a bunch of people that don't care about me than sit around and listen to condescending speeches with people that don't care about me that I've known for thirteen years or so...

Yay graduation in which I'm graduating. heart Not very large, but I'm not sure how many exactly. Like under 300. I know next years class, mine, is 225 people, about.

Yay graduation in which I'm graduating. heart Not very large, but I'm not sure how many exactly. Like under 300. I know next years class, mine, is 225 people, about. Haha go small school My class is the largest with 350 or so people this years class is only like 250.

This should be my first year playing pomp and circumstance if we play it for the seniors graduation. i'm a freshmen so yeah.

My director can't stand Pomp and Circumstance. Instead we play Crown Imperial. So much better.

well, our band is playing it but me and this other guy can't cuz we're the ones graduating... felt kinda like outcasts when everyone else practices and us two are just doing nothing sweatdrop
