He was writing out a paper for class when he first realized the sound... the clink of something tapping the glass. A few single stones at first... tiny tink sounds against the window that he at first brushed off as being intended for the neighboring window... people sometimes made mistakes.

However, when the near handful of them volleyed off his window it broke the happy haze of reading and he would have sworn, quite nearly the window. He was up in a storm and marched forwards the window to undo the locks and slide it open. Honestly he half expected to get a rain of pebbles to the face, he expected it far more than to blink down and see a shock of white hair and dark eyes.

"What the hell?" he hissed "Ever!?"

Zac - stared- at him. One long, cold... hard... stare. He might not have had handfuls of rocks to throw back but he had -that look.

"Right...." He said after a moment and vanished back inside, for a moment it seemed like he might have just vanished, moments stretched into minutes and the only sound available was a sudden burst of laughter that probably came form the inside hall that slowly died away... moments later Zac re-appeared.

"Around the -side-...to your left..." He said and vanished again closing the window with a bang.

The door read 'staff only', but apparently someone left a key somewhere accessible because after a wait, it clicked, and then swung open just enough for Zac to peek out and then open it further with a sullen. "C'mon then... hurry up." He glanced over his shoulder and waited for you to come inside.

"Keep quiet ok... I have to listen... I asked how to get a GIRL in ok?"

That probably explained the laughter, it was probably more believable that he wanted to smuggle a cow in. Then again someone had done that once... apparently cows could go UP flights of stairs, but not down them. The story had grown since the first telling but the photos, and some would swear the smell remained.

"...Oh shut up...they MIGHT have bought it..." He shot back turning red and pausing to glance Ever over. "You're limping... what happened? Or is that a 'behind a clocked door question'."

He crept up the stairs carefully in untied sneakers, peering up between the railing bars to make sure no one was coming before beckoning you onward.
The path to the room was easier at least. He darted over and opened it, having left it unlocked, stared inside and then beckoned you the last way into the room.

"How bad... and what did they hit you with?" He said as soon as you were inside and the door safely locked behind you. "Names too if you have them please..."

Zac flushed and looked, flustered. "... ah... " he managed, his free hand gripping harder at the door he'd just locked like he might try and turn it to escape back into the hall way. The flush that crept across his face gave great testament to the damage done to his 'all business' attitude.

Not that he wasn't going to try and salvage it.

"I... thought you came because you were -hurt." He said trying to salvage some trace of indignation, he lifted his chin imperiously. He twisted the door knob more as an idle action, something to do with his hands than any real means of escape before he tried to push Past ever and seek out the small first aide kit in his foot locker.

"Oh...." He said, the anger fading from his voice at least a little, his gaze darted to the hand gripping his wrist, and back before he swallowed hard enough to see and nodded. "I... have burn cream...it...might hurt when I put it on. Anything broken?"

He at least asked less pointedly, slightly more civil but his eyes drifted back to the foot locker. "I have a kit in there... I'm afraid the best of it is with Fayalite... but she can't...." He shrugged slightly.

"We should... look at how bad it is... were the other people you were with... are they alright or should we..." He let the words trail off. He thought perhaps he knew the answer already... doubted Ever would be so inconsiderate as to leave someone else hurting while that ... look, simmered in his gaze.

"Some things do..." He agreed and worked to keep his gaze steady, it danced between the Floor and Ever, to his bruises and back in a hesitant dance. "Nasty..." he said and shook his head. "I can't remember if its ice or heat that helps more...not that I really have either..." He crouched and reached careful fingers towards it to try and assess how bad they were.

"Just this?" he asked glancing up and paused to retrieve the red box emblazoned with the bright red Cross. It seemed he'd doctored it up a bit on his own, tucked inside some torn open pads of cotton batting were... pills with some of his curious short hand on them.

"You won't want those... that's from... well they have some morphine, I thought we might need them the way things go."

He fished till he found a generic tube with some writing down the side and glanced it over. "Here... that's for burns... It's not great, but my last burn wasn't exactly something I could take to the emergency room." He chuckled softly though there was little humor in it.

"Do... you want me to?"

Zac frowned, it deepened further as the confusion flicked across his face. "... I'm not sure what drives me more crazy...the fact I KNOW you're teasing... or the fact I don't know what the hell I just did."

He dropped the ointment onto the bed and stood carefully so he could, for a short while at least stare down at Ever before settling beside him to examine the shoulder.

"Could have been worse I suppose...given what you were dealing with flaming rocks." He prodded gingerly at the edges of it, not too hard but if it was burned it probably hurt more and then undid the cap to apply some of the ointment. "Probably this would work as well with aloe..." he conceded.

"So... duct tape on drunken senshi... " He sounded amused.
