The pattern on the egg was a curious one, one that made the candidates want to step closer to have a look. Once they got closer they realised what it looked like: ripples in a pond. If they stared it for two long the ripples seemed to move, as though there was something constantly dripping, sending an endless amount of ripples out.
The glaring swirls of pattern on the egg easily catch the candidates’ eyes, though they have to blink several times afterwards to clear their vision. The colours on the egg clash almost violently with each other, but at the same time it somehow works, looking almost harmonised. Even after a candidate walks away the swirls stay in their mind, it’s a hard egg to forget.

The egg looks almost tarnished, as though someone spent too long polishing it, rubbing it too hard and revealing the colour underneath. Despite its rough appearance it is actually perfectly smooth, shining brilliantly whenever the sun catches it.
This egg is almost solid black, save for a few white patches. It resembles marble, and one almost expects it to be cool to the touch. Its warmth may be surprising. The dragonet within the egg reaches out to candidates with a quick, fleeting mental touch. It seems only the youngest candidates catch this one's attention.
The almost pure white egg is nearly blinding, making the candidates eyes water when they look straight at it. The big spot on it seems to resemble the sun if one was silly enough to look right at it. It overpowers everything around it, reducing things to simply flashes of colour. It will catch the candidate’s attention quickly, but not all with be brave enough to approach it.
The green egg with brown freckles is apart from the larger eggs, this one being the smallest of the clutch. The brown freckles nearly make it so the green is not visible. It gives off a lonely vibe, reaching out to any candidate that draws near.
The green dotted egg was like a field of grass full of flowers, as the candidates got close to it they could almost feel a warm breeze through their hair, smell the flower, feel the grass between their toes. It was easy to imagine the small white dots rippling and swaying in a breeze. The egg is warm and welcoming to touch, though the boys do not get such a strong reaction.
With blue and green ripples covering it, the egg looked like waves on the ocean. Staring at it made the candidates think of deep blue, warm waters. The egg was slightly rough, not as smooth as some of the others, and yet it was still pleasant to touch, joyous somehow. Touching the egg brings forth images of diving and splashing though the water without a care in the world.
This egg seems to have tried to turn gold, resulting in a coppery brown color. The sun beats down on this egg, and those who come near suddenly feel more confident than the did before. Touching this egg almost gives one a burning sensation, not quite painful, but not exactly pleasant. It is as if the egg is testing those who chose to touch it.
Approaching the red egg is hard for some candidates, just looking at it makes them sweat, as though they are caught out in the glaring sun without shade. It seems to get hotter and hotter as they get closer, almost unbearable.
The pink egg is the closest to the gold. It shines with almost a metalic glow, the smooth surface appearing as folded satin. The dragonet within reaches out to all, welcoming them with a mental touch as soft as the egg appears. When touched, one will be able to tell that the egg is very thin, almost brittle. Perhaps like the dragonet within.
This dark blue egg has flecks of brown on it, almost as if it was splattered with mud. It gives off that vibe, as well; the girls do not get a strong reaction from this one. This one wants to be with the men! The boys! When touched, it gives off a surprisingly gentle feel.
There is something kind of sad and lonely about the grey egg. It has similar patterns to some of the other eggs but it doesn’t seem to hold any of the same warmth. The other eggs that look similar all make the candidates think of the sun, but this one is the opposite. At first there is nothing, it doesn’t reach out and pull you in, instead the candidates have to get close before they feel anything. When they do they feel a quiet longing, like it is waiting, waiting for the right moment to burst forth.
Right in the middle of the clutch is the biggest, the brightest, the most important egg. The gold egg is truly a sight to behold. It is not just a plain gold; instead its surface blends from gold to bronze, even to white in some parts. Whenever the sun hits it, it glints and shines, throwing out light across the other eggs. However it doesn’t make them look dimmer in comparison, instead it makes them shine too, bringing out all their colours. When the candidates approach it they feel bolstered, everyone has faults; but their good points will always shine through.
The green egg with muted spots of brown is small, but makes up for it by reaching out to the candidates. It has a friendly warm feel to it, but the touch is only fleeting, as if it's having trouble deciding whether it wants to make contact with the candidates or not.
This black egg almost resembles a rock rounded by the river. It is large, but not nearly the size of the gold egg. It stands away from the other eggs, and gives the vibe that it wants to be left alone; but this seems to clash with the second vibe this egg's giving. It wants to be loved.
This silver egg at first glance looks like it would be rough to the touch, with its coloring looking like little bumps. In truth it is as smooth as its clutchmates. This egg is surrounding by others, and seems to want to be the center of attention. Its silver coloring makes it appear almost metalic.
The large black and white egg is a striking one. Its dark swirls make it look like it was rolled in and splattered with paint. What it lacks in colours however, it makes up in presence. It has a commanding feel about it, drawing the candidates in, daring them to come closer. Once next to it they are rewarded with a feeling of disdain, as though it expected them to back away.
