AIM LOG: Green Ever After & _ p a o cx
He wouldn't admit that his instincts were on the dull side now. He had no real reason to be on the defensive anymore, aside for his own safety, and that just didn't seem too important as of late. Probably just him, but that was just fine. He hadn't run into anyone looking to kill him anyway, so as time went he just slowly... dulled. His tail swayed slightly at the thought and he smirked. Back when he had cubs to take care of he would have actually cared about his surroundings a bit more. "Changes, changes," he muttered, a breeze suddenly passing. With it came the scent of another male, lion or cheetah perhaps, but certainly not another leopard. He turned around and quirked a brow.
"Afternoon," he greeted when he saw whoever it was. A lion, no quite fully grown, but one without a hostile disposition so Chui's lax expression stayed thus. "Care to drink, you look parched." Parched? Chui furrowed his brows. He must have been getting pretty old. He'd never used that word when he was just a little bit younger.
Parched? Kaito had never heard of the word, but put two and two together well enough to smile and nod, he moved forward and bent over to take a drink. "Thank-you sir." He smiled again, but bigger. He'd been meeting so many people recently and was almost never alone, almost liek he'd made a thousand friends and non-stop were they coming to see him. He felt like a king. "Its' nice today, isn't it?" Said Kaito, idle chatter easily splaying fom his mouth.
"Do you travel much? Have any stories?" He was very curious, the way the male had been laying he seemed comfortabel and relaxewd here as if this were his home, but he wasn't sure, perhaps the male had traveled then come here? He didn't think to long about it.
Chui watched the lion, mulling over whether he wanted a drink as well or not, before his mind began to register the questions that the other began asking. "I've seen worse," he said with a little shrug. He didn't pay much attention the weather, in all honesty. As long as it wasn't raining then as far as he was concerned it was a 'nice day'. He blinked a bit and finally decided that he was thirsty, so he made his way down to the little pond and, leaning over the edge just a bit, lowered his head and took a drink. The water was certainly refreshing, and once he finished he felt a bit more in the talking mood.
"I've traveled most of my life," he replied after lowering himself onto his stomach and getting comfortable again. "I stopped for a short while for personal reasons, but that phase is over and I'm back to my wandering ways. Unfortunately my travels are a bit on the boring side of things, so I've no stories to share." Chui grinned a bit at that, only realizing just then that he really had led a pretty ordinary life. He'd never met anyone particularly interesting, experienced anything peculiar or exciting, or done anything that was really worth bragging about. His life has been thus far very...normal. "And you?" he asked, not wanting to linger on his own normalcy. "How long have you been out and about in these rogue lands?"
Kaito was shocked that a traveler had no stories to tell, nota single one, perhaps an exciting meeting. He remembered an exciting meeting. "Well.. my memory is hazy, I think I may have been dreaming.. but I met a winged lioness!" He proclaimed, shock full in his voice as he tried desperately to remember everything, itd' been so long ago. "She was aboslutely beautiful, pelt glistening, there were pretty rocks that made a wonderful melody on her in chains of sorts and then her voice." He'd never forget it, never forget the games, but ostly he'd never forget the flower he tried to save from her.
"Only thing I remember fluidly was that she was young and coudl fly and for being young, she was still bigger than me almost!" He gasped adding to the moment, compared to his other meetinsg this was truly a marvel, he'd met a fascinating lion who talked about his pride an dhome life in a slightly distant, advicey tone and then a few others he trei dto recall, but found his memory jsut as dim as trying to remember the winged female. "Do you know what kind of thing she was perhaps? She wasn't a bad thing, just very.... whats teh word.." He pondered a moemnt. "Ah! Thingy." He smirked at his last statement, knwoing truthfuly how childish that was, but he really coduln't describe teh lioness.
Chui grinned as the other offered his own stories to tell and he sat there and listened quietly as he described what sounded like one of those.. godly beings he'd often heard about during his travels. He'd never been so lucky as to be graced by one's presence, but he had heard about these...winged creatures. Not in such a term as 'thingy' though, and when the lion said that particular word Chui couldn't help but snort a bit at how childish it sounded. "Haha, I'm not sure 'thingy' is the right word for it," he answered once the other seemed to finish. "I believe these winged lions are called 'gods' or something of the sort." Then he shrugged.
"Sounds like you've been around more than I have though," Chui said with a chuckle. "I haven't met one of these so called 'gods' yet, and I feel like time's catching up to me." True, he felt like he was getting old, and still he had no family to call his own. Not really, anyway, and he sighed. "I did settle for a bit, I guess? For a while, to watch my cubs as they grew. They're all on their own so I'm back to wandering, but I never really felt quite settled even as a parent." Hm.. "Guess wandering really is just the life for me." Chui looked over Kaito, a regretful look about his face. "Have you ever had a place to call home? Or have you been wandering since you were born?"
