[An interesting little story that Sky and I invented one day]

The Bat vs. The Cat

An unsuspecting Bruce Wayne shed the jacket of his suit, tossing it nonchalantly onto his bed. He hadn’t even bothered to turn on the lights as he let out a stressed sigh and rubbed the back of his neck to relieve tension before looking to the bathroom door of their bedroom. The light coming from under the door assuring him that his wife, Selina, was currently in the wash. Bruce shrugged his shoulders and threw off his suit vest as well, while kicking his shoes off. He was in the process of unbuttoning his shirt when suddenly the bathroom door flung open, revealing Selina in the door way. She was in her silk night gown, bracing herself with both hands on the door frame. Her hair was ruffled out of its clean lay, matching the feral look in her eyes. Bruce knew that it was no longer he and his wife. No, it was Batman and Catwoman now. Selina gave a throaty, “Rrrrow.” before tackling her husband.

The Wayne family’s long time butler was in the living room talking with Young Master Wayne when suddenly they both heard a loud thump. They looked up to watch the chandelier of the room swaying to and fro. Their attention was then diverted to the stairway outside the opening to the living area as Bruce Wayne’s panicked voice echoed down the hall, “For the love of GOD, Alfred! Take Alex to the Batcave!” Alfred’s eyes widened slightly but he cleared his throat and composed himself; standing from the couch he straightened his suit jacked. “Come, Young Master. Off we go,” Alfred shooed the boy towards one of the only door in the manor the Wayne’s had locked. Alex looked to Alfred quizzically, “What are they doing?” Alfred suppressed a blush as he ushered Alex down the stairs to the Batcave. “They’re asserting dominance. Down we go.”
