Hobbies:

Outdoorsy things:
Fishing? Please. Hiking? Okay! A picnic? It's raining, but sure! Gardening etc.
Griffin loves to work with her hands and be outside on nice days. Remember that kid in grade school who would always be the one to ask the teacher to have class outside on the first nice day of spring? That was Griffin. She often does her homework outside- unless it's too cold- usually in front of her dorm so she can catch friends on their way in and out- and hopefully rope someone in to adventuring with her.
She doesn't mind rainy days and it's not unusual to see her wearing a rain coat but with the hood down as she walks along campus. Griffin also takes time to stop and smell the roses- or any flowers. And then pick them and stick them behind her ear or make a little bouquet and then bring it back to her room to dry and hang up.
She also adores animals. Her parents always thought she'd be a vet when she grew up, but she's at that point in her life where she doesn't know what she wants to do- and there's nothing wrong with that, she says. With the flowers she also collects feathers (a nasty habit, sure) but she'll stop and watch any animal on her walks, be it a bird or a squirrel or a dog, or a deer she startles in the woods while hiking. She would never hunt an animal, and when she fishes, she uses worms, yeah, but she releases any fish she catches and the only souvenirs are the pictures she takes.

Being girly:
Griffin has to balance the boyish things she does and her boyish name with being feminine. Someone might ask her why she's so dressed up and she gives them a puzzled look and thinks she's just in regular day-clothes. It's one reason she keeps her hair so long- that and because when she was a kid with shorter hair, someone asked her sister if Griffin was her little brother.
Along with her boyish habits is her boyish name. She is told all the time that she's the first female Griffin they've met, and it can be exasperating. She knows, okay? She won't even put her hair in a pony tail and even her undies are cute and frilly even though no one else sees them (ever!) she just really has to be that girly (except for while hiking, fishing, spear fishing, jogging, spelunking... etc.).

Enjoying or Making art:
Along with the enjoyment of the rigors of outdoorsy things, she enjoys the more refined physical, tactile arts. It's a sharp contrast to the brutish things she does outside. What she usually does is photograph where she's been outdoors and then she paints it. She's learned a lot of her techniques from Bob Ross, wouldn't you know it. (There's usually a lot of happy little pine trees where she goes!)
While the only art she herself makes are drawings or paintings, she also enjoys other works from the classics such as one of her favorites, The Fall of Icarus thought to be by Pieter Bruegel, to more contemporary street artists like Marc Jenkins (yeah she knows you thought she was gonna say Banksy. Well everyone likes Banksy or Shepard Fairey, duh.)
Griffin also loves music. The only music she makes is her singing in the shower or the car... or when there aren't other people around... She doesn't want their opinions just in case she's bad! She loves watching bands play and when she discovers a new group that she likes, she'll listen to their songs a hundred times till she knows all of the words.
She's a religious follower of the almighty P4k (or Pitchfork for those of you who aren't as hip) and will check it out multiple times a day for updates.

Partyin'! Partyin'! YEAH!
Griffin is a very social creature and has joined many clubs through the years to feed her outdoor habits. She would also like to think that she's made a lot of friends and become popular- not in the sense that everyone adores her, but that people know who she is. She loves to go out on the town to clubs or frats and live it up, and maybe she's not the most responsible, not always using the buddy system, but she makes new buddies! You know, the girl waiting in line with you for the bathroom that's plastered and strikes up conversation? No, that's not Griffin, but she'll humor that girl and they'll get on like best friends- maybe! She tries to social network as best as she can, and that's how she finds new parties or people or clubs to go to or meet or join. You met one time? She'll probably remember your name and where she met you- if not also who you were with and at least something about you (i.e.: school or that you're dating x friend of hers).
Besides parties or clubs, Griffin also likes to meet people at concerts or art shows- or better yet, at the local outdoor shop or the bike store. They come with pre-established common interests after all, and maybe they'd wanna go on a hike or a bike ride in the near future!


Virtues:

Patient:
If you're out hiking with Griffin and you get tired, it's okay! You can take a break and she'll sit (or stand if she's still raring to go!) with you until you feel up to it. While she doesn't really like when people are late to meetings or activities, if you call or text ahead and have an emergency, then it's okay. Maybe meet at a later time that day or a different day? If you're just five minutes late, then that's fine! She's even been known to wait an hour for a friend to come to see a movie with her. In the end she'd been stood up, but when the same friend asked her about seeing it the next week, she said yes, but made sure to meet at their place instead of the theatre.

Reliable:
She'll be there on time when you ask to meet up- if not early. She's an excellent hiking buddy because she'll be willing to spot you and tell you how to get up a rock face while on the ground or carry your pack while you take a break or give you a hand and pull you up over that last edge.
She has back ups of almost everything for the just in case or worst case scenario. Group project and you did the power point? Email it to her too or let her save it on the flash drive. She packs extra food for trips, too. She never wants to be in the situation where someone goes "but I thought you brought it!"
Griffin offers to take on a large work load in school because she wants to make her parents happy and will handle most of the work in a group project to make it easier on the other members, and she's reliable enough that even though she's busy, they all know that she'll come through.

Determined:
She's so determined that it's just shy of being a flaw and bull-headed. She will make it up that mountain. She will run that final mile. While it may sometimes be detrimental (a bad fall and some nasty cuts or maybe she trips and twists her ankle for a few days). She pushes herself to finish things and will push others as well- although to others she's more encouraging than she is with herself. She stays up for that extra hour past bedtime to finish studying so she can get an A in that class!

Flaws:

Insecure:
Griffin is insecure, but it outwardly manifests itself as vanity. Weird, right? While she doesn't really know how to take compliments, but she thrives on them. So when her friend says "Griffin, you look so cute in that dress!" she'll stare at them with a straight face and say "I know." That gives her the image of being vain, but she didn't really know, and she probably really wanted someone to tell her she looked good.
She needs the verification of others to believe to feel good. If she gets complimented on an outfit or piece of clothing, she'll wear it again and won't need to be so self conscious the next time she wears it. A compliment will tide her over for a while, at least, until she needs someone to compliment her again (though she enjoys fishing, she'd never do it for compliments. Those aren't as sincere.) She's a people pleaser because she wants to make people happy and be accepted, but she'll try to change herself for the situation she's in because she's unsure that people will like her for her essential self. She isn't really happy with who she is unless other people are happy with her.
She overworks herself to make other people happy but it usually catches up to her on the weekends when she feels pooped, but there's like... five parties tonight and her friends want her to go so she gets ready and goes out anyway.

Critical:
Griffin is more that a little stuck up. You like that band? I thought they broke up when I was 11, I can't believe they're still making stuff and that you listen to it. She's not really that catty so she won't say it to your face but she'll think it. After someone really poorly dressed- in her opinion- walks past, she'll make a face or comment to her friends. She's not afraid of letting others know what she thinks, but it might be about someone else and what's wrong with them.
But she's not just critical of you (although she really is) She's also very critical of herself. She's not a perfectionist or OCD, but she can't let anyone down and judges herself on a very tough scale.

Possessive:
Jealous and greedy although she'd never say it- and please don't tell her!
She doesn't know why, but she'll get possessive or jealous about the silliest of things- even silly in her opinion. She could be perfectly happy watching whatever's on TV, but when she sees your facebook status saying you're watching the same thing and you're someone she doesn't like? Well she'll change the channel. She also doesn't like when people she doesn't like wear the same clothes or have the same hobbies, interests etc as she does. She has to be different, and those things are her things. You can't like them! Not if she doesn't like you.
Her jealousy manifests itself in a brooding sort of way, and she might complain to a friend if she knows they don't like the person too, but usually she never does anything about it.
She's also strangely possessive of her friends. If her best guy friend starts talking to a girl, she gets... upset... lets just say. She wants him happy. But she wants him to be happy and single. No, she'd never date him, that's ridiculous, but she's got to keep things how they were. That's how she's happy, and a new change might upset that.

As for her Insecure flaw, it's updated to reflect how vanity is just the outward manifestation. It also explains why being hit-on is so nice and different from normal compliments. I took your suggestion and put that long a** sentence in her determined virtue. <3

I took your advice and changed her insecure flaw to be more negative and also snipped the last part.
I also followed what you said and made her eternal attack a little bit stronger.

And for her super, I'm thinking Maenalus Mountain Range! because the peaks are more like a mountain range at this point.
