:C I heard they were still burning. I hope they get it contained soon. In California we have a fire season and we always get wild fires. Totally worse than snow I agree. You can't breathe or see sometimes.

Fire is totally a living thing. :c

Like I said, every summer. We get really bad fires (stupid arsonists!). I was trapped in a huge fire once when I was 6 years old. We had to evacuate cuz we were being surrounded and the smoke was so thick we could barely drive. Ever since then I can't stand the smell of smoke. Not just any smoke though, wild smoke. It's very different from cooking smoke, bbq smoke or firewood smoke. The wild smoke has everything in it and it burns my nose so badly. I could always tell when my dad was off fighting fires (without my mom knowing) because he would reek of wild smoke.

:c It's the worst smell ever to me, more so than sewage... which is rather putrid. lol

All you can do when this happens is lock up your house and wear masks. Even then you're still breathing dust, dirt and ash. :'(

OH and if you're ever close to a wild fire make SURE you hose down your roof so ambers from the fire (which can travel miles in the air) don't land on your roof and start another fire... happens all the time. That one fire I was in we stayed back just long enough for my Dad to hose down all the houses roofs really quick so our neighborhood didn't burn down. XD

I know right, natures disasters are horrible. Especially those tornadoes.
