Koralo had left his precious garden to go out hunting for new plants to put in it. There was that one spot near the back that just seemed to be lacking...... something. The young seathi had searched high and low all morning, but found nothing to his liking. Ready for a break he headed back.
Upon arriving back, Koralo looked his place over. Everything appeared to be alright. Every time he went out, he feared someone would come and mess it up. As he swam through he noticed something odd about that back spot. It was brighter than before. Curiously he swam over to investigate.

Nefar was on his migration route and was plodding along contentedly his legs moving rhythmically along. After leagues of sand he started to notice some volcanic soil and sparse plant life. The forestation slowly became more dense and better cared for until he found himself in a underwater paradise of large ,rare and exotic plants. He paused, liking the view and the green energy surrounding him. This would be a pleasant place to stop he thought to himself, how lovely. He sidled over to a large tickling kelp plant and curled up his legs for a nap. Little did he know that he was in a much beloved garden with a strong, lone Seathi protecting and defending it.

He eyed the object. It certainly was colorful! But how had it gotten into his garden? Koralo frowned and wondered if someone had been messing in his garden. His brother perhaps?
Experience with his brother made the little seathi cautious. Slowly he extended his muzzle to nudge his discovery, then thought better of it. A hoof reached out and gave a quick prod.

Whoa what was that? Had something just PRODDED him? As it is hard for a lobster to lift his head, Nefar had to uncurl and spin around on his pointy legs to see what exactly had disturbed his slumber. A SEATHI! He had never seen one this close before. It was certainly intricately patterned but not nearly as brightly colored as he was.

Koralo gave a shrill startled neigh as it moved, and propelled himself backward quickly. It moved! It moved! He stared at the beast wide-eyed for a minute before he realized that he was actually seeing a lobster. A very, very colorful lobster. The little seathi felt his heart slowly start to calm.
"Um... Excuse me. What are you doing in my garden?"

"Napping," Nefar replied. Or at least he was until he was prodded awake. He curled back up. Deciding if he spoke little and didn't squish anything maybe he would be left in peace. It was a long migration after all. And *Yawn* he needed the rest.
Silly seathi he wasn't hurting anything. "Nice garden" he said for good measure.

Koralo gave himself a shuttering shake all over. He had touched it! Ew ew ew ew. The seathi twitched his legs. It had been hard all over. Kind of like his hooves but no way in comparison. He looked back at the lobster as it curled up again. His nose twitched as he tried to come to terms with touching Nefar.
"But... but.. this is my garden..." He looked nervously, wondering if it was paying attention to him. Koralo felt sort of bad for trying to kick the little creature out after it complimented his garden.

By now Nefar was quite happily snoring. (An odd sound for lobsters) He could no longer hear the distressed Seathi as when a lobster slept, a lobster SLEPT. He was quite exhausted and would have to be quite disturbed to leave his chosen resting place. Usually he was an unimpressed sort but he genuinely like this garden. It was peaceful.

Koralo huffed. How dare it just go to sleep and ignore him. He stretched his tail and prodded the creature. A wince crossed his face as spine stabbed into him.
"Now look. You didn't even ask to sleep here. This is my garden and I wont let slimy or crawlies like you remain. So go on. Shove off." He tried to look bold and intimidating.

Nefar grumbled in his sleep. His spines and exoskeleton preventing him from being disturbed overly much. He did crack an eye at the talking and moved half an inch over, in case he was accidentally squashing something and that was why he was being bugged.
"I'm sorry," he replied, "But how is this your garden? Is your name on it? I am simply resting, not harming anything and i have a long way to go."

Koralo tossed his head angrily and danced his hard hooves dangerously close to the sleepy crustacean. "How?! I'll tell you how! If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't have a nice comfy, pretty spot to sleep right now! I brought all the coral and seaweed here!"
"It was me who tended it, cared for it, nurtured it," he stomped a hoof angrily onto the sands. "I don't care how far you have to go. If you can't appreciate the one who did this and not give me anything, then I don't want you here!" Koralo snorted for good measure.

"Well you did do a good job of raising the coral it seems happy and i haven't seen them happier for leagues so I guess you do deserve something." Nefar fished around underneath his carapace and produced a lovely sapphire. It's color reflecting the deep blue radiance that was the ocean. He used a leg to gently push the gem closer to the incensed seathi stallion. "Will this suffice?" he asked, one eye already closing.

Koralo felt slightly mollified as the lobster praised his work. At least he could recognize tender care when he had it pointed out to him. Although, he thought with in trepidation, he hasn't seen any happier for leagues, because these are the only ones for leagues. The mini stallion decided not to say anything on that matter.
He was a bit taken back when the lobster actually offered him a blue stone. It was a pretty blue stone. After he made such a fuss, how could he refuse it. Humbly he took it between his fore-hooves. "It's more than enough. Thank you. Please enjoy your nap." He eyed the lobster and decided it wasn't going to intentionally break any coral.
