Leaning against the outside wall of the girl's dorms, Nyx checked her watch again. She had wanted to 'hang out' with Mitsu and Blade a week back but something had come up. Blade had been no where to be found and Mitsu didn't seem very adamant about doing anything. She said she had stuff at school she had to attend to that was important. So another week had passed but that didn't matter. The plan hadn't really changed. Though the thought that this was all coming to an end was creeping along the back of her mind.

Finally emerging from the girl's dorms, Mitsu looked a little tired but no more worse for wear than usual. Desmond was going to hang out with Klyde tonight since she was hanging out with Nyx and Blade. It had been hard to motivate herself to leave but she was doing her best not to withdraw again, despite how tough of a challenge it was becoming.

"There you are, I was beginning to wonder." Nyx said pushing away from the wall. "I thought I was going to have to come in and drag you out of your room."

Mitsu laughed rather nervously, "U..um have you seen Blade yet?" She asked looking around. She liked Nyx but she was much easier to hang out with when there was a second person present.

"No, not yet. Why don't we head on over toward the dorm?"

Mitsu gave a short nod as she descended the steps from the girl's dorm and headed toward the boy's. Hopefully he was still doing okay, Mitsu was worried the whole event with Suto wasn't going over well...though she couldn't blame him for being distressed about it.

Mitsu raised a hand to wave at Blade as they approached, Nyx seeming to take in the boy's appearance. She couldn't help but take in details, its what she did on the job.

"Man, you seem a little tired and worn down." She noted the half a** smile, and tired eyes.

"W..we've had a rough science project we've been working on." It wasn't a complete lie but it wasn't their science project but someone else's. How many times had she used that excuse now? It seemed like far too many.

"Oh, well I think I have just the thing in mind to help take your mind off it." Nyx said with a grin. "Come on, we'll get some food and then head to the middle of town. There's a carnival going on so there's lots of games and stuff." It looked like fun, Nyx could vaguely remember her older sister taking her to one when she was little....but that memory was clouded by so many other things.

"Yeah, there is this mexican restaurant on the way that has the best enchiladas I've ever had. It's a little hole in the wall place but the service is really good and the food is amazing." She continued to rant on as she took the lead toward town to show the other two the way.

Falling into step beside Blade, Mitsu only vaguely heard the things Nyx had to say about the place they were going. Instead a concerned expression was focused on Blade. "Are you doing okay?" She asked softly.

The wolf girl could imagine the things he was going through...she had gone through them herself. While she had tried her best to get Suto to refocus his attention on her it seemed the scientist was very adamant about experimenting on Blade. There wasn't a whole lot that he did with her now, which he made her aware of why a couple of days prior. It was hard trying to convince him to experiment on her instead, she really didn't want that at all, but he just had to prove how useless she was to him now.

Fed up with her pestering Suto had thrown her against the table and made a deep cut across her stomach. While it was nothing new to be cut up in such a way...it had taken her hours to make the bleeding stop. Usually it would have taken minutes and even now it had not healed. It brought a new sense of mortality to the table for her...but she still hadn't given up. There had to be a way to get Blade out of it.

"I..I'm sorry." Mitsu said softly. "I..I think trying but he won't listen. He says I'm pretty much use-"

"What are you guys talking about?" Nyx asked looking back since her companions were moving much slower than she was. They both looked rather worn down, this must be one hell of a science project.

"N...nothing really," Mitsu said softly falling silent soon after.

"Come on don't be so down." Nyx said. Might as well make the girl smile while she could. That would be over in a couple of hours. "We can get desert at this place, they have fried cheesecake. I'm sure one bite will bring a smile to your face."

Mitsu forced a small smile. "Y..yeah. I guess."

"It's time to forget about school and live in the moment, yeah?" Nyx turned her attention to Blade. "So perk up, we'll be having fun soon."

Mitsu sighed a bit but it seemed she didn't quite agree with Blade when he said it wasn't her fault. She felt like it was though she could see no way that she could have prevented it.

Trying to pick up her pace as well she followed behind Nyx along the path to town. At least the day was nice, though evening would soon be approaching. The air was warm for a spring day and the flowers were out and the leaves had finally started to fill in the trees that had been long dead over winter.

"Well, I've only been to it three times since I've been here but it's been good each time," Nyx said obviously taking the bait for conversation change. "It kind of reminds me of a place I used to eat at up north when we stayed up there for a while."

Again Nyx was lost in her stories of places she had been and seen. By the time she finally wrapped up with her tale they were actually at the restaurant. It was a tiny place like she had said, something you would walk by if you weren't looking for it. The sign out front read La Bamba Mexican Restaurant in curvy letters that barely stood out.

"Well, here we are. If we eat quick we should beat a lot of the crowds to the rides and stuff since its dinner time." Nyx made her way inside leaving the two to follow. There weren't a lot of people there but the aroma from the food was amazing. It actually made Mitsu perk up a little trying to take in all the different scents.

"Come on, we'll sit at a booth." Nyx waved them to follow her to sit down. It didn't seem like a server was far behind after they were seated to take their drink orders and was off like a flash to fill them. "Pretty neat huh? I just happened to stumble on this place one evening. The prices aren't too bad either." Nyx said pulling out a menu.

"Well, I've had the enchiladas, fajitas, and the loaded quesadillas. I think I'm going to try the Fiesta Chicken this time. Oh, and they also have these fries called Fries Quatro Queso Dos Fritos. It's like a seizure of flavor in your mouth. In fact, I'll order some, we can share."

"A seizure of flavor?" Somehow that really didn't sound good but Nyx seemed rather enthused about it.

Looking over the menu Mitsu tried to decide on something that didn't sound like it would feed three people. Everything sounded so large and...topped with everything. "Maybe I'll try the tortilla soup." That sounded simple enough.

After their orders had been placed Nyx sipped away at her drink, a brown pop as she often asked for, her light blue eyes turning toward Blade as he asked his question. For once she seemed to hesitate before she answered, letting the straw slowly slip from her mouth. "I...guess I like it as well as any place really." She said slowly looking like she was thinking about something. "I don't stay anywhere long so I try not to think about how one place might be better than another."

"There's not places you would like to revisit?" Mitsu asked curiously before taking a drink of her water.

"I.." Nyx was about to say she never expected to be around long enough to see any of them again but that might raise questions. "Not really, it keeps me pushing forward to see what else is out there, you know? If I get caught up on how nice a place is I'll want to stay....and that's just not possible."

Mitsu noted the slightly sad tone in her voice. It made her wonder if there were places Nyx wished she could have stayed but she didn't ask anything further on the matter. "So do you know what's at this carnival?" Mitsu had only really been to small festivals in her neighborhood park.

"Not really sure, I guess it will have what most carnivals have. Pricy fried food, game booths, rides, maybe even some shows. Do you know what might be there?" Nyx asked looking over at Blade.

"I think it will be exciting," Nyx said that smile returning to her face.

It didn't take the waiter long to return with the food they had ordered almost like they had a psychic in the back that had told the cooks what the small group wanted before they even knew.

Mitsu looked a little overwhelmed at her big bowl of soup but took up her spoon and had a taste. It was actually pretty good but there was no way she'd be able to finish this. "You were right, the food is good." Mitsu said before taking another spoonful of soup.

"I know, everything I've had is amazing." Nyx said biting into a huge piece of chicken. It seemed to be good judging by the expression on her face. It was something between amazement and euphoria. "So good....how about yours?" She asked looking over at Blade's dish.
