When you open your downloaded Pokemon Online application, you will get a menu that has four options. I will explain the Teambuilder now.
First item I would like to note is the toolbar (mine's at the top of my MacBook). You will see a menu that is labeled "Gen." This is where you can transform everything you see into any Pokemon generation available. Make sure yours is set to "B/W (5th gen)".
On your screen, you should see your trainer profile. Feel free to customize this, as all that you see on this screen will be made public when you go online. When battling in Pokemon Gaming Guild events, your trainer name should be your Gaia Username to make things simpler. If complications occur, make a mention of your Gaia Username in the Trainer Information box.
To save your profile, Click the save button. This will prompt you to save a .tp file. This is how all your info will be stored on your computer. Don't be afraid to overwrite this file when you update it. Also note the appropriate New and Open buttons if you want to access a different .tp file.
Close will take you back to the Main Menu. But
don't forget to save.
Next, click on the Team button on the top of the screen. Almost everything here is self-explanatory. One thing I suggest that you do is that you click "Advanced" below your Pokemon's sprite and you select "Side Window". Here you can alter your Pokemon's IVs, abilities, gender, happiness, Hidden Power type, and shininess.
Don't forget to save! Your .tp file holds your Pokemon data AND your trainer profile.
If you need assistance on this window, reply to this thread.
Next, go to the box tab. Here is where you save your team, as you can only edit 6 at a time. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS AREA. You can easily accidentally overwrite other Pokemon in this area. To store a Pokemon, click the blank box space (a cursor will appear) and click the "Store" button. All other buttons are self-explanatory.
Also for your reference, a Pokedex is provided with this application through the button on the top of the screen. Also note that there is a Type Chart (damage multipliers due to types) below where it says "Pokedex" on the Pokedex screen.
Next, I will explain the online play. But first,
MAKE SURE TO SAVE!!!
