It was a sunny day, just the kind of day that Cyllene liked. The seathi smiled, waggling her tail mischievously as she swam towards the beach. She wasn't sure why she was going there, but maybe she'd find some land dwellers to tease. Or treasure. Treasure was always good. But that was too much to hope for. Besides, she was feeling much too lazy to go on a full-out treasure hunt right now.
No, today she was in the mood for a prank. The beach was in sight. Swimming closer, she paused upon a sun-warmed rock. Her bright orange shape was almost-but-not-quite disguised amongst the sand. She waited, watching out for unlucky passer-bys. This was going to be fun!

 Zerafin stretched out on a warm basking rock, gazing at the ocean. The sky was blue and the sun was hot, fueling his cold blooded metabolism. He sighed flicking out his tongue. This was the life. He watched the waves roll lazily on the beach further down and lap playfully against the base of his rock. They prevented it from ever getting too hot in the blazing sunlight. Which made it the perfect rock to bask on.
He was looking forward to a peaceful day in which he might get to see his Seathi friend Icthian.

There! Her perfect victim! A black and white lizard was basking on a rock, looking half asleep. Narrowing her eyes, the Seathi's tail wiggled from side to side in anticipation. A smirk spread across the lower half of her face, a taunting glint flickering through her eyes.
Dipping her head beneath the water, Cyllene filled her mouth with water. Then her face emerged silently from the water, the small waves barely making any noise at all as they splashed against her. Her cheeks bulged like a puffed out puffer-fish. Slowly she turned herself around, slightly to the right. No, too far. She moved back to the left. Then a tad more left. There! Perfect! Tilting her head upwards slightly, she contracted her cheek muscles and opened her mouth.
The spout of water flew out from her lips, traversing through the air in seconds, and landing square in the lizard's face.

"Ack!" Zerafin scrambled away from the edge of the water, his nap thoroughly disturbed. WHAT WAS THAT?! he thought and inched his way over to the edge, wishing the sun would hurry up and dry the salty wetness from his poor skin. He peered over the edge of the rock and flickered his red tongue out. Hmm, he saw water, and water wasn't normally so energetic as to spring out of nowhere and soak innocent lizards. He cocked his head trying to see through the bright glare of the sun. Meanwhile the water began to dry on his back, the salt making him itch. This was why he rarely went swimming the sea was unpredictable and the proverbial salt never failed to make him itch.

Cyllene practically had to bite her cheeks to keep herself from bursting out in a loud guffaw of laughter. Her body convulsed with the effort of stifling the laughter, the water around her quivering. Luckily for her, the sun's glare was bright, and the lizard's eyes could not see well enough through it for it to notice her.
As the laughter finally died to a level where she could fully contain it, the Seathi puffed her cheeks full of water again. Just as the lizard scooted into a new position and settled down once more, she let rip the seconds spout of water.
A millisecond later, she dived down just below the surface to hide herself from the lizard's prying eyes, her stomach shaking violently with raucous laughter.

"Aaargh," Zerafin said as he was blasted with another jet of salt water. "Alright these endeavor ceases to be funny!" he screamed at the bubbling ocean. Which didn't answer back. Not like he was expecting it too. He hadn't been in the sun that long. He glared at the softly lapping waves. He went to the beach and got a palm frond to shade his eyes from the sun and he waited. The culprit would show up eventually.

The words became distorted as they crossed through the water, but Cyllene could still guess at what the lizard was shouting by his intonation. Fits of bubbles rose from her nostrils, rising to the surface in a bubbling mass of liquid. The stinging in the corners of her eyes made her aware that she was crying from the laughter, though the tears became lost in the ocean around her within seconds.
She waited a little bit longer, wondering whether the lizard had left. Now that would certainly ruin her fun. Making sure to keep the rock between her and the beach at all times so he couldn't see her, she stuck her nose out of the water. "Wooo whoooooo over here! Surely you're not scared of a little water?" She giggled loudly, before diving back beneath the waves so if he wandered over he couldn't see her.

His lizard tongue flicked at the bubbles but he could not pick up a heat signature through the water. He answered the disembodied voice with disdain. "I'm not Afraid of water I just don't like impromptu baths when I'm sunning myself!" he yelled out at the ocean. he realized he must look pretty silly and glanced around anxiously.

Frantic giggling escaped her lips, her entire body shaking with laughter. Tears streamed down her face as she stuck her head out of the water, nothing to do with the brine that rushed off her in a great cascade. "Oh.. AHAHAHA. Chicken!"
She snorted loudly, glad for the cover of her rock once more. Sometimes, being small had its advantages. Still the fit shook her till she was gasping for breath. Holding her mouth shut tightly, she attempted to calm her shaking muscles. The laughter was so hard to stop!
"Chicken! Bwuk bwuk bwuk!" On top of the clucking noises, Cyllene also waggled her hooves on either side of her in an imitation of chicken wings, not that the lizard could see.

"Im not a chicken," he called back. "I"M A LIZARD" he screamed at the top of his lungs, thoroughly offended.

Her sudden guffaw made her head sink under the water as her body convulsed in fits of laughter. The muted sound pounding through the liquid around her, bringing a mountain of bubbles rising up to the surface. An impromptu snort escaped through her muzzle, a deep and loud one that shocked even herself.
She paused for a moment, feeling the roughness in her nose that followed, before bursting out laughing again from the sheer absurdity of it all. After a minute or two, she rose back to the surface and, still spluttering, managed to choke out, "Oh-AHAHAHA, HE HE HE. You-You.. You act like... LIKE A CHICKEN!"
