After standing in the ring for several minutes, waiting for his scheduled opponent to arrive, Major Devastation asked the ring announcer for the microphone.

"Well," he began, "it looks as though Herr Seitz isn't coming. I wouldn't be surprised if he was hiding in the locker room doubting his so-called "superiority", but then again, can you really blame him considering how I've been kicking his countryman's keister from sea to shining sea these past few weeks."

The crowd cheered at that remark while clips of Major beating the obnoxious German loudmouth, TGI Huk repeatedly since his WWFG debut.

"Now then, I'm a fighting champion, and I know you all didn't come here to see me stand around here like an idiot...I'm pretty sure you all came here to see a fight! Am I right? Since Wilhelm decided not to show up, that leaves my dance card wide open, so here's what I propose to remedy the situation: if anybody, on either show, thinks they've got what it takes to go mano-a-mano with the Intercontinental Champion, then how about you come on down and show me what you've got! OORAH!"

As E-Rock made his way down to the ring in total silence, save for the jeering of the crowd, Major Devastation handed his championship belt to the referee, who passed it to the timekeeper as the Intercontinental Champion stood waiting in the center of the ring. Devastation was hardly impressed by the man who had recently been demoted to the For Sale roster as the "gangster" tried to stare him down, and the Marine would look to lay into him with a big right to the jaw as the bell sounded to kick off this open challenge match.

When E Rock was sent reeling as a result of Major's punch and came to a halt against the ropes, Major would try to close the distance between the two in order to attempt to follow up on his opening shot with a knife-edge chop.

The boot connected, causing the Intercontinental Champion to double over before getting drilled by a DDT...but the match was still young, and Major wasn't down for long. He would quickly get back to his feet and try for a lock-up. If accepted, the champ would attempt to deliver a side belly-to-belly suplex.

After slamming his opponent to the mat with the belly-to-belly suplex, Devastation would look to follow up on the slam by attempting to deliver a series of knee strikes to the ribs and back of E Rock.

Once his opponent had reached the ropes, Major backed off, giving the ref the clean break he wanted. He would wait until E Rock was standing once again before trying to send him back down to the canvas with a clothesline attempt.

((Dunno...I say we keep going 'till it gets closed.))

BAM! Devastation wasn't able to halt his momentum and charged right into E Rock's superkick. The next thing he knew he was lying flat on his back, looking at the lights and wondering if anyone got the license plate of the truck that just hit him.

A few moments after getting his brains rattled by a superkick, Major Devastation felt himself getting rolled over onto his stomach, followed by a knee being dug into his back and his head and neck being yanked back in a crossface. This ended up being a good news/bad news situation...the bad news: this hurt like hell...the good news, however, was that the pain snapped the Intercontinental Champion out of his daze.

Now fully aware of his predicament, Devastation quickly began trying to drag himself to the ropes in order to force E Rock to break the hold.
